Che cos'è un software di simulazione?

I software di simulazione vengono usati da ingegneri, scienziati, designer e matematici per imitare un prodotto o un processo reale usando un set di formule e modelli. Consente agli utenti di osservare un'operazione attraverso un programma di simulazione senza doverla effettivamente eseguire o sviluppare.

Il software può essere usato per analizzare qualsiasi processo durante la fase di prototipo e studiarne risultato e comportamento usando diversi set di parametri. La tecnica di simulazione viene usata comunemente in due situazioni: quando l'incertezza sulle prestazioni di un prodotto in scenari reali è molto rischiosa e quando i produttori vogliono eseguire esperimenti sul prodotto o processo in un ambiente a basso costo.

Quali vantaggi porta un software di simulazione?

  • Un feedback pratico durante la progettazione di un sistema per il mondo reale: con un programma di simulazione, i designer possono creare ed eseguire test sull'efficienza di un progetto prima di passare alla costruzione vera e propria. Dispongono inoltre della libertà di cambiare forma, dimensioni, struttura o modello del progetto nel software.
