Greatest thing about the pandemic (that keeps on getting better)

Commenti: Very positive in general - as new features are added I've found more ways to use exam.net for my students!

During the pandemic:How it handles virtually unlimited exams and exam takers. How easy it is to copy exams (making it possible to split exams for separate invigilators).How easy it is to create exams - both from scratch and via pdf upload. The variety of exams it handles (supports audio files, has built-in tools, can accept scanned responses, support multiple files in addition to the exam question paper).Now:The auto-marking feature, the types of auto-marking questions, the 'jumble the questions' feature... all making it easy to create worksheets/tasks students can reuse during revision season.

Aspetti negativi:

Presently, none!During the pandemic, security was a concern.

Exam.net is Excellent for Advanced Placement Teachers

Commenti: My overall experience has been excellent. The customer support is outstanding, and the platform is very flexible and customizable which are its strongest features. After using it for two years, I would definitely recommend it to other educators looking for a reliable digital platform to conduct their assessments.

The customizable features have been the most impactful. Exam.net gives me the flexibility to design assessments based on my needs and the needs of my students as they prepare for college exams. It allows me to create essay questions quickly and easily and provides a platform for me to score these responses in an organized and efficient way.

Aspetti negativi:

I think that Exam.net has done a lot recently to improve their platform even more. I have been using it now for more than two years, and my students really enjoy it. The one suggestion I would make is to maybe expand the ability to add images and videos.

Exam Net is a Game-Changer in Education

Commenti: With the ubiquitous nature of AI, Exam Net has been a lifesaver in the classroom. All of my assessments are now secure and students must be prepared to demonstrate their knowledge and skills without relying on AI technology. Even using it for lessons in class helps to keep students focused on their work and eliminate distractions.

Downloading student responses with the teacher answer key requires manual cut and paste. Not as user-friendly for students as it is for teachers.

Exam-net as a Language Teacher

Commenti: Generally really good but it needs improvment.

The auto-corrected exams are great. They save me a lot of time that I can dedicate to my students.

Aspetti negativi:

It is still quite tricky to use and it is not easy to get hold of customer support. I would like to use an exam several time and it is har to find the function.

On exams you don't bet; instead use exam.net!

No video upload possible, that's some of my colleagues choose a different app.

Exam.net Offers Everything This Math Teacher Needs

Commenti: The experience with exam.net has made me more apt to give formative assessments (which the students appreciate) because I do not have to grade hard copies.

Aspetti positivi:

My favorite thing about exam.net is the ability to enter robust math equations, including fractions, exponents, radicals, logarithms, integrals, derivatives, etc. Doing so is relatively easy, as well.

I cannot think of any cons. Exam.net is a wonderful tool. The students appreciate a clean and simple interface, and I enjoy the time I save not having to grade quizzes and tests. I am slowly building an electronic library of quizzes and tests, hopefully to use in years to come.

Commenti: Overall I am very pleased with Exam.net because the uploading goes easy and also printing out the answersheets is organised within a minute.

It is very easy to upload exams as a pdf file and to make the settings right for each student.

Aspetti negativi:

That when a pop-up shows in a students screen of the laptop, the test will freeze and the student is blocked, while he/she didn't do anything wrong.

Commenti: it helps me much in designing the exams for learning activities like for colourful diagrams in questions and monitoring the students in the exams and including the recap of the analysis of the questions

Need a stable internet connection and is a little bit complicated for writing formulas in physics and Maths for students because they are using keyboards

Great Online Assessment Tool

Commenti: Has been a great tool for testing of student knowledge both formative and summative. Lessens printing and allows marking to be conducted at home or work with no lugging around of paperwork. Data can also be easy derived from the testing allowing identification of learning needs.

Ability to have secure online testings with real-time information

Aspetti negativi:

Needs to include ability to upload questions from other documents into types eg. multiple choice from a word document into multiple choice in exam.net

Many features that help with the dynamics of the exam or test... like Geogebra, animations (gif), formulas editing, etc...Automatic grading is excellent

Aspetti negativi:

To include Geogebra to design workshops or tests. Now is just a tool for students, but not teachers.To include the corresponding calculator reference for IB programs (simulator)To include in the lower security or basic level of security some additional notification about the student´s suspicious activity during the exam for teachers or admin. Recognition of not allowed IA or copy/ pasting. To upload activities using the laptop camera, not the phone to avoid misunderstanding during classes

A very useful tool in the digital age of education

Commenti: It helps prevent cheating by students, though it is not flawless and forces us teachers to only ever do tests on location. This is not an issue that can be solved by Exam.net, but simply the reality of students' accessability to mobile phones.

Aspetti positivi:

Being able to customize tests and have some questions be automatically marked correct or incorrect, significantly reducing the time it takes to grade large groups of students. It is increadably useful when multiple groups of students will be doing the same test.

Aspetti negativi:

Actually creating tests can be somewhat tricky. I wish the ability to change the default settings of newly added questions was added to the product as that would reduce the amount of time it takes to make tests with the settings I need.

A Need from the Lockdown and Beyond

Commenti: I have used this since the start of the pandemic until now. The usefulness is beyond work from home status and is really a great help to teachers like myself.

Aspetti positivi:

The first criteria is ease of use. People who are not tech-savvy can easily work on exam.net and create and import quizzes. The next element is the auto checking. It is not perfect but we do appreciate all the help we can get in getting all those papers checked. Instant feedback also is a feature that is really helpful.

I think it is the price. If we can get this tool for a discount, that would be awesome!

Easy to use and secure grading tool

Commenti: High quality with a multitude of customisable functions.

The ease of use in combination with the different levels of lockdown helps give a secure grade to students writing on a computer.

Aspetti negativi:

During a locked down test the translation of chinese is limited, as the translation tool requires the writing of Han characters, which can't be done on a western keyboard.

Commenti: The support team is at hand quickly, the time needed to set up an exam is great. More complex testing would require more features, which may be implemented in the future.

The product is easy to set up, first exams can be written within half an hour.

The scoring system is overly complicated and needs revision.
