Great Customer Service

The platform is pleasant to look at and interface with. Many automated features that help me make fewer mistakes - meaning less revenue lost. The way of keeping a chart is intuitive and streamlined.

I am not a big fan of the telehealth feature - it costs more to host more than one client/family member and I don't think you can screen share.

It is so very easy to use and the support staff has been the best I have ever used. Whether I am emailing or talking over the phone, they listen and are able to answer my questions with ease. They are always updating their product and listen to users when we have ideas or suggestions.
Aspetti negativi:
I have 2 cons to using this product. One is the lack of secondary billing, though I know they are working on it. The second is the lack of ease in trying to have a non-therapist or non-therapy related events through the platform. I have a yoga teacher on staff and I would love to be able to incorporate her schedule into the platform. I offer Reiki sessions and struggle to find an easy way to get someone set up and scheduled.
Not for med providers
Commenti: Not made for psychiatric medication providers. The support and development team is not very open to suggestions on how to develop templates to be more user-friendly for providers. The medication database is outdated and missing many current medications, when notified support about psychiatry templates missing medications, I was told that the matter would be looked at over a month ago, and no response. The TherapyNotes system is repeatedly lagging and freezing during the afternoon, it is not because of Wifi as I connect to the internet via ethernet cable, it does not matter if I am the only person in the building or not, it still lags and freezes. There is no patient messaging system as most medication providers have for patients, this just means pt have to contact via email and another internet screen has to be open. So use with caution.

TherapyNotes makes clinical documentation very simple. The templates are easy to use and customize if needed. The information flows from intake, intake note to treatment plan and progress notes. I don't worry about missing an insurance requirement.

I've been challenged with part of the billing process especially when it comes to deductibles and insurance readjusting payments.

Hands Down Makes My Life Easier

TherapyNotes makes my life as a therapist and practice owner easier. Easy to customize (most) forms (and the ones that are less customizable it seems they are updating to make more so!). I find the charting to be very user-friendly, and, if you're billing insurance, they include within their documentation everything that insurance companies would require. And if I ever have any questions, the customer service is truly remarkable - very knowledgable, wonderful follow up and follow through, and I have never once spoken with someone where I felt like I was someone inconveniencing them or they hated their job (which, sadly, can happen with a lot of customer service!).

I honestly don't have any major complaints. The most recent treatment plan update is a bit cumbersome but they put out an announcement that they were getting that feedback and were making improvements immediately.

The Right Choice
Commenti: I was anxious about starting use of a system on my own but it's really been simple w/TherapyNotes.I am a self-employed therapist working on my own so a straightforward need for my business.

This product is easy to use for someone who has used EMR's but always with lots of support. I am now on my own but TherapyNotes is pretty self-explanatory. The articles for figuring things out are well written and easy to follow-not too technical.The selling point for me was having on-call tech support if I can't figure something out. So far I haven't had to wait more than 15 minutes and typically it's a much shorter wait time, if I have to wait at all. The tech support people are efficient and clear in their instructions. They then send an email reviewing the steps they have gone through w/me that I can review in the future if necessary.

Not being able to add templates within the system. You can customize (to an extent) the templates already in the system. The work around is scanning and uploading forms to the system. Not too bad...

I had already been using it as an agency employee provider, and when I decided to do my own practice where I am the admin and the provider, the customer service assistance I received both for set-up and ongoing admin tasks has made it possible for me to do this without needing to hire an additional person to handle billing, scheduling, etc... I love the Portal support for Outcome Measures as well as for HIPAA compliant document use and registration process.

TherapyNotes has fantastic customer service. You may wait a few minutes to talk to a real person, but they are patient and kind and help you with issues (even those that are due to user error). Also, TherapyNotes has made billing insurance and recording payments SUPER EASY. I don't think I would have continued on my own without this support!!!

I wish that TherapyNotes could bill secondary insurance providers and I would like to see more customization in the templates for notes.
One Stop Shopping~ A great concept!
Commenti: Several years ago I was providing services for people who had litigation/disability/workers comp. issues and the format and ease to send documents was critical in meeting their needs. As well as CYA as a clinician. (No small concern in this day and age.) Within the first year of my work with TherapyNotes, they were hacked and seriously compromised. It was then that I encountered the outstanding customer service and support. They worked around the clock to resolve the problem. Their customer support has not wavered or even fluctuated. My previous encounters with EHR were through hospitals and agencies (since 2007) and, in comparison, I find Therapy Notes equal and even surpassed other systems .

The company continues to grow, expand its' services and scope, without losing their outstanding level of customer support. Like many other senior clinicians, we have had to adapt to electronic medical records systems and billing after years of handwritten forms. The conversion has been daunting . When I changed billers last year, the fact that she could administer through TN actually deducted a percentage from her monthly fee. I am in the process of assisting patients in creating portal accounts so that I can use their telehealth platform. I've been with doxy.me for years and am not exactly pleased with their product.

Notes have to be completed before claims sent. This isn't always practical, although it does help with motivation to stay in front of charting. I wish it was easier for patients, especially elderly ones, for them to use the Telehealth without setting up an account. That in itself is a barrier.
Never Use Another EHR
Commenti: I have only used TherapyNotes and feel spoiled. The ease of note taking, treatment planning, and submitting claims makes running a private practice simple. Their support staff is exceptional in customer services. So kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I never hesitate to call them as I know my concerns will be heard and issues will be resolved. Highly recommend TherapyNotes to any mental health practice.

The user friendliness of therapy notes and the expectational support team that is always so kind and helpful makes this EHR the best in the business. They think of everything, response with a detailed email about what you talked about in a call, they send step by step screen shots in case your find yourself in need of help again. You never feel "alone" with the customer services staff of therapy notes.

I really cannot say there is anything I do not like about TherapyNotes. It is a full package. I would rate it 10 out of 10!!!
Good product, good support and good price

Great Product!
Commenti: It's very user friendly and super easy to learn. It reminds me when I have forgotten to do a session note, update/create a treatment plan, or update PCP or release information.

The 'To-Do' list is wonderful! The notes options and treatment plan setup is thorough and all inclusive for requirements.

The only thing that could be improved on is the reporting option. I would love to see an option at the top labeled 'Reports' where you could enter a date range and see completed appointments, missed appointments, which clients have missed more than 4 sessions, etc.
Excellent EHR

I love therapy notes. I transitioned just before the pandemic (thank god) and it made it easy to maintain my notes and do my billing no matter where I was seeing clients from. The support staff is absolutely fabulous - they are responsive and knowledgeable. A rare find in this day and age!

Commenti: Excellent in friendly and knowledgeable support services, set up to keep me compliant, helpful portal forms (which they keep adding to, recently setting up a self-fillable option), allowing me to do notes, forms, scheduling, and billing all in one place.

I like that TherapyNotes is specifically targets my profession and my needs as a private practitioner, considering that my skill set is in therapy, not computers. I purchased their services initially to help me stay compliant to current standards in the profession, but I also found them to provide friendly and helpful support, and they keep adding features that make my job easier. I love the constant innovation and the responsiveness of the company to user needs and requests.

Commenti: TherapyNotes took away 95% of my anxiety around billing, coding, interfacing with clients and insurance companies. For the most part it is quite easy to navigate the various functions within the platform. When I did need some help correcting a mistake I made, [sensitive content hidden] from customer service was fantastic!

Commenti: Excellent! Every once in a while the text reminder function doesn't work and I wish there was a way to get that money back or prove it a reminder didn't send. Presently, however, they are working on that.

TherapyNotes, LLC Software Pros and Setbacks
Aspetti positivi:
TherapyNotes, LLC offers significant ease of use; the entire billing process from submission to payment is handled with ease. It also has great customer service, which is available by phone.
Aspetti negativi:
The treatment plan templates can be expanded as it is limited. Also, I would appreciate various fillable forms so clients can complete it through the system. Also, a flat rate billing fee opposed to a per submission fee would be beneficial.
