Ease of use - once you know the basic daily tasks/commands needed for your office it becomes very streamlined and easy for staff to use.
Sometimes it is hard to keep track of and fix errors in patient accounts, I wish there was a way to see what user scheduled or cancelled an appointment.

Genesis Chiropractic Software Review
Aspetti positivi:
Ease of use, Integration with other apps, Customer support, Training, Value. I cannot say enough how much I like this software system. It is crystal clear what is being paid (and what is not) without having to run a thousand separate reports. It's all done for me!
Aspetti negativi:
There is a bit of a learning curve (as there would be with any new software) but once you are used to how the system functions it is amazing.
Chiropractic review on Genesis
Commenti: Overall I am happy with the system and how much more efficient it has made our office from the front, to billing and to the doctor doing his notes.

There are many functions to Genesis that we at our office really enjoy. It is able to connect the schedule well and the immediate access to notes for the doctor. The schedule is linked to our online scheduling and review wave makes it very convenient for our patients to be able to communicate effectively. We can communicate within the office using their task bar (making it HIPAA compliant) and with Genesis team or billing stream lining our questions and concerns.
Aspetti negativi:
There is a lot of functionality in Genesis. We probably use a quarter of all the functions that comes with this system. The intake process has been a bit tough for us as we find patients have a tough time navigating and getting through it in a timely manner. There is a lot of processes going on at once so the transition from page to page is not as fast as I would like so we upped our computers to 16G of ram because 8 was not cutting it.

Customization of notations and macros are one of the best features. Cloud based means no local server to maintain and you can update/access records from home, schedule patients at an event, etc... The communication between staff and with Genesis using the Tasks function is great if you can get everyone to understand how to use it.
Aspetti negativi:
Care plans did not write off discounted visits accurately so I was constantly having to audit ledgers and manually adjust write offs for prepay cash care plans. I eventually stopped using the automated system and just let Genesis bill visits at the retail rate and had my staff go in and manually adjust discounted visits. The notifications were either buggy or the training on how to use them was lacking as my staff would try to setup notifications on a specific date or visit number for the patient and the notification would pop early or even after it was cleared out it would continue to pop up. Patients eventually started to ignore when they were notified to see the front desk at checkin because they assumed it was an old message. The ability to organize x-ray images for quick access during a visit was initially not available, and then when they updated it to make it easier to organize them, it was still more work than it was worth. Lastly, support was great for the first 4-5 months and then it tanked fast. I would have calls not returned. I would ask direct questions regarding billing issues and they would get ignored. I'm not sure if there was some employee turnover that resulted in this change or what, but I stopped reaching out for help because the answers were rarely helpful or clear when they did respond.

This is a web based application so loading windows can be slow sometimes. This results in waiting for information to load before a patient can be treated.

Worth the price
Commenti: My overall experience has been amazing! Any time I've had a frustration they have addressed it imediately and solved my problems quickly. I am truly always impressed with care and attention they give my clinic, even though I am a very small clinic. I thought you would only get this service when you were running a big clinic!

I absolutely LOVE the functionality of this product! The training team was suburb at implementation and they continue to surprise me with how dedicated they are to making sure we are getting the most out of the system. I have been using Genesis for just shy of a year and the billing team has already helped me improve my billing and collect more, and I couldn't be happier to have those items off my teams list of 'to-do' items!

I honestly hated the cost the most.... at the beginning! When I first learned what this software was going to cost me, I thought I'd never be able to make those payments EVERY month. But what I can say now is that they have saved me money and helped me make gains in my collections and I couldn't be happier! The only big thing I think they could improve upon is their patient intake forms. The patients have a great online portal to fill them out on but it is not mobile friendly and that's difficult for a lot of my new patients coming in.
Faster than our last software program but not as user friendly

Product does its job
Aspetti positivi:
Customer service is quick to respond with challenges which is very important in today need it now world.
Aspetti negativi:
Once you develop you own systems it is easier to use. There is a lot of pieces I do not use making it a bit clunky to use

1st time user of genesis
Commenti: Overall this is all you need in an EHR software, higher priced but you also get what you pay for here.
Aspetti positivi:
A lot of different reports. Easy to use. Different apps that integrate such as Fortis payments and Sked.
Aspetti negativi:
Higher price than other software. You have to use their billing service, which charges a percentage. Not as visually appealing as you hope for the price.

The customer service with Genesis is probably our favorite thing about it- they are always extremely responsive and timely. This software also makes our day to day operations so much smoother between team and doctors. We love the task system for team communications and communications with billing. I also love the check-in notifications to help us remember what each patient needs. Because of the software we are able to give more customized care, get tasks done faster as a team, and stay on top of our duties!
Aspetti negativi:
The only thing that was a challenge for us was the large onboarding process. This, of course, is a benefit as it helps us get completely comfortable with the software, but it is a lot of time upfront.
Alternative considerate:
Buyer Beware.... No consistency with Genesis.

Task management, cloud based, integrates with Blue IQ, able to have multiple locations on same platform.

Poor integration with BlueIQ vs. how chirotouch was. Accounting platform. Inconsistency of the platform and processes. Onboarding STRESS was HELL. Macros are made in an entire "Type" of note instead of individually. 6 weeks in still waiting for answers to questions that are holding up business.

Commenti: One thing that sets Genesis EHR apart from other software is its constant improvement. The Genesis team is always making updates and adding new features to make the software even better. We have seen the software evolve over the past 6 years, and it continues to get better and better.Switching EHRs can be a pain, but we are glad we made the switch to Genesis. It has made running our practice much easier, and we could not be happier with the software. If you are looking for a robust EHR to help you manage your practice efficiently, I highly recommend Genesis. They truly dominate the chiropractic EHR space, and we are grateful for all they do.

As a successful chiropractor who has been using Genesis EHR for the past 6 years, I can confidently say that this software has been a game-changer for our practice. We are a large practice that deals with mostly cash and some PI cases, and we have used several major EHRs both server and cloud-based. Before making the switch to Genesis, we did several demonstrations for almost every EHR out there, but none had all the features we wanted or needed until we discovered Genesis.Genesis EHR has everything we need to run our busy practice efficiently. From managing our patients' treatment plans, booking appointments, generating detailed reports, to providing systems and automation, this software does it all. The documentation process is super fast, and the cloud-based software works seamlessly with our Macintosh computers and iPads. We have been impressed with the level of support provided by the Genesis team. They are always ready to assist us with any questions or concerns we may have.

Commenti: Before we switched to Genesis, we were unable to give up our physical files. We were operating on a mirrored hard drive system and local server and not cloud based. We had lost all faith in having an actual EHR and our insurance billing bottomed out due to our lack of confidence and the current work shortage that left us with no insurance department. I sleep better at night knowing that if any staff member were to leave tomorrow, we have experts ready to train our new staff immediately. For the first time in my career, I feel like I have a partner in practice!
Aspetti positivi:
While not a fan of EHR or insurance, we have realized a near 300% increase in insurance collections just one month in and I can sleep at night knowing that the notes are audit proof. The real time monitoring of correct billing such as use of modifiers and meeting diagnosis criteria are amazing. The only thing I can appreciate as much or more is the ease of creating macros for types of patients and their respective diagnosis. SOAP notes for an exam take less than 3 minutes in many cases.
Aspetti negativi:
There's really no way around this one because they have thought of nearly everything. The screens are small font but if they are going to be able to do all that is needed in today's highly regulated health care documentation environment, this is necessary. I find that their intense ongoing training and continued use are more than making up for this.
Great software
Commenti: There have been some hiccups along the way but Genesis is always trying to fix it. There is always some ready to get back to you to help fix the problem.

It is very thorough in how it documents the path from patient arriving to the collections. Collections have increased by being able to follow the path and correct it before it is to late to correct.

1st Review
Commenti: Most of the time, we have little issue, and I navigate through things well. When I do, I feel that you are always there to help us out.
Aspetti positivi:
I love that we have all patient information in one location. Also, it integrates well with our posture analysis that we use, as well as the SKED texting that we use. I also really love the use of Fortis for our credit transaction and the ease of setting up auto pay. They have also updated to now make it easy to connect credit cards, etc to other accounts for billing purposes, and Genesis integrates well with that.
Aspetti negativi:
I wish that the care plan section was a little more user friendly and adaptable to the specifics of the individual offices using it. I wish that there was a section for us to log EOB information, as we do our insurance filing outside of Genesis. I cannot stand the way that "tasks" work. I do not like the fact that after I send it, I have no point of reference until someone responds back to me.
The team gives great customer service.
Commenti: It's practice management tools are second to none that I have used in the past. I have used Practice Fusion, ChiroTouch, and others. This is the most robust software that I've used.
Aspetti positivi:
The vast number of features and customizations and custom reports we can have it generate. This is also my con because it's almost too much and it isn't intuitive. I compare Genesis to a PC with windows or Android. It works well if you have a high level of knowledge and know how to manipulate it. VS a Mac or Apple that you just open up and it begins working, you don't have to be an IT specialist to get the most out of it.
Aspetti negativi:
The vast # of customizations. It's been over two years and i still discover tools that I didn't know existed. Perhaps it exists but i never saw it, but a complete manual helping to set up, teach new employees and customize to fit a growing or changing practice without having to open tickets all the time.

I love the billing team attached. They have increased my overall collections from when I did it all in house by my self. Support and staff are great to work with and willing to help you to the best of their abilities.
Aspetti negativi:
Notes take a few clicks and can bog down when flying solo in the office. Would like to see more features built into the works and less add ons (extra fees via 3rd parties) most reports are not live updating so you have to wait from day to day for system to update to get refreshed numbers.

Commenti: My experience has been fantastic. As I've worked at other offices that did not have Genesis and I had a much more difficult time finding my way through the system. I never had any issue with Genesis.

There are no real detrimental flaws to the system. The VERY few times I've had an issue, [sensitive content hidden] and the great outreach team figures it out and explains it simply so I can fix it myself next time.
