The wind beneath my wings

ServiceTrade has been a joy to implement and use everyday. The dev team, and everyone at ServiceTrade, have been absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend this solution enough. From day one, we had no half measures. We jumped in both feet and never looked back. The scheduling makes planning our technicians days straightforward and clear. I could ramble on for hours about how much I love the search functionality, and the data you can quickly get to really get down into the nitty gritty of whatever you're looking for. To my experience, any software that claims to do everything, does nothing well. ServiceTrade is near perfectly optimized for the scope it encompasses. Features are being added all the time, and the dev team are always enthusiastic. I foresee this product getting lots of love for years and years to come. This product only gets better and better. Third party integrations have been a breeze, and a staggering amount of third party applications are available.
Aspetti negativi:
Only a couple items come to mind, none are deal breakers. A general timeclock for tracking daily general time would be helpful, however we've found a small third party solution for this. Ability to add non-billable appointments and vendor stops would also be nice, and again not a huge deal. A great unification of built-in app and web features would be a great quality of life improvement, however I have a feeling those sneaky devs are up to something already... they always are.

Continued education seems to be a big issue for us, it's mostly because of our internal complex workflow but a general educational workshop would be great. I've gone through the certification process a few months ago and those seemed a bit dated as well.

The initial rollout was great however as fast as the program was operational, they became crickets.
Updates & upgrades have caused unexplained data and functionality loss.
Do not trust them.

Commenti: My experience with Service Trade has been mostly positive and the only real snags have been the lack of even broader or more precise modifications or adjustments to how information is either presented or collected when it comes to assets. The more specificity, the better.
Aspetti positivi:
The best part of Service Trade is the cohesive integration of between roles. Scheduling, dispatching, creation of job/services, collection of client information for a robust and useful database, creating invoices and billing, the ability to create tags for each asset, client, location, etc. How each step in the process from brand new client to billing said client flows seamlessly with different approaches to how much or little information is needed or shared makes this a nearly flawless experience.
Aspetti negativi:
The lack of ability to rearrange the information fields for asset names. Not being able to do that with the help of a Technical Account Manager (TAM) was frustrating as the TAM had a lot on their plate and was tasked with more important tasks to the company than satisfying my OCD with naming schemes. Not the TAM's fault.

How did we function before Service Trade
Commenti: Our experience with Service Trade has been phenomenally good. The system has hands on learning, the onboarding staff was patient, helped me stick to timelines and answered any questions in a very timely manner. I've worked with many new system launches in my career and this was by far the best experience. The process was so flawless that I felt comfortable going on vacation as the system when live without our company. That is how much confidence I had in the onboarding process. I knew my team was ready to work with minimal need for troubleshooting due to all the planning and support received. I enjoy the ongoing to support and access to help offered once go live has been completed.

They system allows us to be more efficient by streamlining 4 systems into 2. Service Trade has an excellent customer database that searches for addresses and phone numbers based on entering a few words with an auto fill feature. The system allows us to indicate time frames for recurring services. It also has comment features that allow you to indicate who should be privy to the comment. The system allows you to build templates for most frequently quoted products/services, for scheduling time frames etc. Best of all, based on the variety of features in Service Trade, we have been able to be more efficient with scheduling work, issuing reports, writing customer deficiencies and issuing quotes. Which allows us to be more productive and increase our revenue.
Aspetti negativi:
The thing I like least about service trade is the invoicing module. In order to issue an invoice for services and then sync it to QuickBooks for follow up there are too many clicks. It is more efficient for me to invoice from our QuickBooks system and simply put an invoice number into service trade. However, this is a minor inconvenience and I understand that Service Trade is not a book keeping system.

Great Product with Areas to Improve

I really think that this product makes the scheduling and dispatching side of our work very easy and quick. It cuts out a lot of time wasted on communication by giving us the ability to access/schedule from anywhere and connect with our techs and customers in an instant. Referring back to past completed jobs and keeping tabs on job history of when/who/what as well as deficiencies has never been easier.
Aspetti negativi:
While this application makes dispatching and scheduling so much easier, it is lacking in almost every other area that makes a business run and does not make the integration process easy, so we find ourselves using multiple different apps when we'd prefer to just use ServiceTrade as our primary for everything including accounting and billing. My biggest gripe is that there should be an option to set up notifications for things like New Deficiencies Added and upcoming contracts about to expire. A simple but accessible Admin Mobile App would also be a huge bonus so that we can schedule, add comments to locations, or view deficiencies on the go.

Very Easy to use and very user friendly

the invoicing of each job is super easy to use. I love the fact that you can see when the customer views the invoice.
Aspetti negativi:
The syncing with Sage 100 sometimes has its issues. Not syncing with the appropriate codes, is a hassle. There are a lot of work arounds we have to use for it come out correctly coded.

Aspetti positivi:
The ease for our clients to access information about upcoming and past servie visits along with information by each of their assets has been a differentiator. Our service support team and servie technicians praise Service Trade because it is much easier to use compared to our previous software.
Aspetti negativi:
Flexibility with tasking forms is not the greatest but manageable, Servie Trade is being a great partner by listening to us along with working with us to improve this. Integration to our existing ERP doesn’t exist but Servie Trade has worked closely with us to deploy alternative methods.

Commenti: I use ServiceTrade every day of the week. It has become an extension of my business and I appreciate the software & team greatly!

Service allows me to use our own documentation (reporting) and keep track of all aspects of our business. By far the most valuable tool that we use.
Aspetti negativi:
I do not like that the order the blank reports are uploaded, is the way they remain forever in the system. It would be nice to make changes to my reports, and replace existing blank reports or move the order of them in the system.

Commenti: Overall its revamped the way we do business and has vastly improved the accuracy in which we do things. Checking history or creating quotes is much faster and has cut down on time. Being able to look over all things done within time frames is great for tracking techs and productivity.

I like the history and scheduling components most. We use it as our main interface for the company and 90% of what we do is all done through service trade and service trade add ons
Aspetti negativi:
Problems with information being added to jobs on occasion is frustrating, some problems with getting things on or off of invoices when transferring from a job.

I use ServiceTrade every day to dispatch our technicians, I like that they are able to have all information for their jobs while on site and able to look at the history of that location.
Aspetti negativi:
I wish that ServiceTrade had a feature that sent me a notification when a technician clocked out of a jobsite so I knew it was complete without me having to look if it was complete.

This software was created and is organized by people in the service industry. This is huge for me. They think like we do.

When we were sold this product, one of the really great selling features was the Chat Help. You have since downgraded this to an email tech support. (but cost stayed the same). As a result, there is an increased lag in response and no 2-way conversation. Just like the rest of your competition.

You can’t spell best without ST
Commenti: ST allows me to perform more work at a faster pace. Scheduling is fast and easy. I’m able to be prepared for the following year using my notes

Saved by Service Trade!
Commenti: I am solving the problems of scheduling jobs for on time appointments. It was a nightmare before Service Trade. Now, I can schedule jobs and the techs love it. They each have iPads with the Service Trade app on them and we communicate all day instead of waiting for them to return to the office at the end of the day!

The service and software are perfect for our company and it keeps everyone on schedule. I like that the techs can look ahead for the week and see where they are working and what jobs they are doing. Also, I can keep up with where they are located and how they are doing time wise. If I need to add another job while the tech is in the field, I can. I can update my customers by calling a customer to inform them that the tech will be early or late to the appointment because I can see where they are located and how long they have been on the job. I don't know how we survived without Service Trade!! They saved us!! Thank you!!

I only have one complaint about the software and that is when I need to reschedule a job from one week to the other, I can't do it without going in the job and making the change. I would love to be able to move the jobs in the scheduling area where you just click and drag the job to the next day! I've asked Service Trade about this idea...I'm sure they will have it at some point!

User friendly - a tutorial and a few times using it and usage becomes smooth. We also love the support team.

Improved data storage to have the software not slow to a crawl as well as the Tech app could have better functionality in terms of improved search for assigned Jobs and enhancing what is available for a Tech to view.

Office Under Control...thanks to Service Trade
Commenti: I started working at our family business in January of 2015. I was going to assist the ladies in the office and learn how to do their work, so when they were out sick or on vacation, their work would continue to be completed and they wouldn't be bombarded when they returned to their office. Well, after three months of working three days a week, I took over the management of the office and both ladies left our company. I was shocked at how inefficient the office staff was running the office. Now, thanks to Service Trade, the office is under control. I love the way you can schedule the jobs and make the service recurring, so you don't miss out on the opportunity to service your customer in a timely manner. We add the price to the job so the tech does not have to call us every time he is unsure of the price! This feature has been great for the new techs who haven't learned our pricing structure yet. I do not know how we conducted business before Service Trade, well yes I do....very inefficiently! At first, I was very overwhelmed with the system. The training was full of so much information that my head was spinning! But now after a few mini learning sessions, I consider it easy to use and understand. The quality of the product is the BEST!! So many features are available, that I still don't use all of them. My favorite feature is the connection with Quick Books. The invoices transfer to QB and we just add the invoice number and e-mail it to the customer! No more waiting for the techs to return to the office with hand written invoices for us to enter in QB. We just added the inspection reports to the system, so now we have very nice, clean , easy to read inspection reports from our techs entering the information in the system. Gone are the days of the paper inspection forms that come back to us all dirty, torn and unorganized. The guys at Service Trade are great! Any time I have a problem, it is solved in a timely manner. I've contacted them via the web, e-mail and by phone. They are always willing to assist me with my crazy questions! The money that we paid for Service Trade is worth it! I wouldn't run my office without it. Thanks Service Trade for making my transition to working full time a better experience than it would have been without you!
