Easy to configure, if you have the knowledge you can also make complex configurations. Lot of basic functionality, configuration is not necessary if you want to use Ultimo as it comes.
Because our company bought specific modules, we still miss things and it's not possible to extend it.

Perfect for Enterprise Asset Management and Maintenance Management
Commenti: As an administrator I have seen Ultimo go through many iterations over the years. Today it is much easier to administrate than previously since everything is web-based.
Aspetti positivi:
The application has an extensive back-office. It is a modular application that you can tailor specifically to your needs.
Aspetti negativi:
The application is surprisingly easy to use with extensive help file assistance, so there is nothing to complain about.
IFS Ultimo in a hospital environment
Commenti: For 20 years, Ultimo has been a flexible software package that helps us continue to provide optimal support for our (changing) business processes. In these 20 years, Ultimo's functionality has continually expanded, allowing us to remove a number of configurations from the past because they are now standard functionality in IFS Ultimo. We make little use of the support department but when this occurs we experience the service as good.
Aspetti positivi:
IFS Ultimo is a flexible software package that already contains a lot of functionality by default and is highly configurable by the application manager in your own organization. An example is the inclusion of furniture in Ultimo, in which the Martini Hospital aims for a registration accuracy of 80% where it is not necessary to uniquely identify the furniture. Because of this method of working, the registration workload is low and it is possible to use furniture in the Ultimo relocation module and supply relocation lists to our mover and easily process them afterwards. By including removals and the furniture file in Ultimo, the process has been standardized to a large extent. Another example within Martini Hospital is linking rooms to process functions. The result is that the Technical Services planner can quickly see which rooms belong to a process function and this makes it easier to coordinate activities with the users of (critical) rooms such as an operating room or IC room.
Aspetti negativi:
A less strong point of IFS Ultimo is that actions sometimes require a number of mouse clicks. Furthermore, in our version it is not possible to make changes in batches (which is possible in the latest release).

Aspetti positivi:
Building custom screens, filtering options. Intergration options with iOT but also building acces systems. Reservervation rooms. Knowledge tree
Aspetti negativi:
During migrations from version a to b, confilcts with fields and checkboxes on custom screens. For specific in depth features you need a consultant. For example, when you make a service request for Technical Department and to have te option (for the user) to receive an e-mail when the (record) status change you need a Ultimo consultant (custom work).
IFS Ultimo and Spallation Neutron Source EAM/CMMS
Commenti: Excellent support from initial contact through to the assistance provided during the implementation phase. With regular use it's straightforward to use once the data is loaded.
Aspetti positivi:
Excellent support at all stages of procurement, implementation and operation. Excellent level of configurability to our requirements and excellent assistance to go from out of the box to operational.
Aspetti negativi:
Can take a little while to understand some of the terminology and how modules interact.

Efficient tool to help streamline and automate the process of creating, assigning, and tracking work orders. Ultimo also enables us to manage our installations and assets and keep track of their history and condition.
Aspetti negativi:
There are so many options and functionalities that it can be overwhelming at first. I believe it is best to start small and then gradually implement more modules.
Use of Ultimo
Commenti: We use Ultimo every day for our Technical and Facility department and since using Ultimo we are far more in control.
Aspetti positivi:
Ultimo is very intuitive, easy to learn ande very flexible

The version we use it is not possible to make adaptions, than we need a higher more expensive version.

Commenti: Every company does business with various suppliers. Ultimo is also a supplier. Of course, Ultimo knows that too. However, over the past 20 years, we have not had a single moment to doubt about the supplier Ultimo.

Total Integrated Asset Management
Commenti: I started some time ago a project to increase the use of Ultimo and was astonished about the offered functionality. Sofar already a lot of dispersed data is transferred to Ultimo making the work easier. Facility Management can be added to Ultimo in near future (avoid another database).UltimoSupport gives good and fast service.Many possibilities for customizing with the UCT.
Aspetti positivi:
The integration of all functionalities for Assets in one software bundle.Ease of use to find information (after understanding the base-principles).GO+ app gives great freedom and data access to maintenance engineers when on location.Ultimo Configuration Tool (UCT) is handy and relatively easy (my age is 64) to understand.
Aspetti negativi:
In the version (2017) I started with I manually transfered data from excell sheets to Ultimo. This took a lot of time. Direct uploading from excell would be helpfull (maybe already available in newer versions?).
From on premise to the cloud
Commenti: The people are very helpfull and friendly. The software does what it has to do.

We are very happy that we used Ultimo on premise. Now we are busy tn bring Ultimo to the cloud platform.

There is nothing that i can mention to be changed.

IT Service management for mintenance
Commenti: It is extremely good with maintenance of our assets. The back office helps us to access other parts of the application enabling us to look in on all aspects of our assets and aiding us in building up a history of everything concerning our assets. Add to that the problem management and reporting there is nothing we don't know about every asset.
Aspetti positivi:
Good, ITIL based processes. The Ultimo IT Service mangement module is well thought out and easy to configure.
Aspetti negativi:
Not cheap. Maintenance of the software can be quite pricey, but the service is good and you get what you pay for.

Ecellent for maintenance management
Aspetti positivi:
- Once the necessary steps are made to set up the system/database with assets, spare parts, users, suppliers, types of jobs and maintenance schedules it is easy to work with the software. You can choose which parts of the software you want to use and can add more features later when needed. - With a little training or with a consultant it is easy to modify the screens for different users so they have a better overview with only the things they need to see on their screens. - It is possible to make create reports and have kpi's comparing planned jobs (preventive, predictive, planned, projects, improvements, safety, ...) and corrective jobs (breakdowns with production loss).
Aspetti negativi:
- Updates/upgrades are not so easy to do, every time an update is done it takes a few days for a consultant of Ultimo to get the system to work without errors and with all the changes made in the past. The client needs to keep a complete list of the settings that were made during the previous setups and workflows to prevent that some of those changes are set back to default. - Making reports/queries requires a good knowledge of databases and it is almost obligatory to follow a training for this.

Ultimo EAM software
Commenti: We use Ultimo for our fleet management (trucks, trailers, company cars) and to monitor periodic maintenance, repairs, refueling registration, driver history, ... For the latter and for updates of the mileage we have developed interfaces with Transics that run on a daily basis. Ultimo is also master when it comes to creation of new vehicles. An interface also creates the new truck/trailer in our TMS-system (TAS) and in Transics. Furthermore we use Ultimo for registration of damages (as well on trucks/trailers as on goods), Facility management (periodic maintenance and contracts) and in the future also for registration of ICT-assets.

very easy to easy and user-friendly, highly customazible (changes in database, screens, workflows, ...)

A faster response time of the customer support department would be nice.

Commenti: This program is easy to use, and has a lot of possibility's. You can connect other applications with Ultimo, to import or export data. You can design screens yourself.

flexible CMMS

better control on preventive maintenance, more stable and accessible than previous CMMS;
in fact, an organizational change is needed to make the technicians more responsible and accountable.
That cannot be delivered by Ultimo ;-)

Lots of functionality that is easy to "form" for use in the organisation. Flexible definition possibilty and parameters to use
Aspetti negativi:
One has to determine the parameters very carefully, and BEFORE putting the system in operation. Though the system is very flexible in this, too little thought in the pre-stage will lead to difficulties when using it in practise

Commenti: It cost you a lot of money. But in the end it is all worth it.

It's pretty easy to use and there are a lot of features. They can even build a feature for you if it doesn't exist. Also the support is great.
Aspetti negativi:
The software is a little bit expensive. You also have to pay for almost all extra features.
