Aspetti positivi:

IntelliJ IDEA è un IDE per lo sviluppo software eccezionale, ne ho provati diversi ed è il migliore che io abbia trovato. Ha funzioni ottime per il debugging, si integra perfettamente con GitHub ed ha un'interfaccia molto intuitiva. L'integrazione con plugin aggiuntivi è ottima, anche per installar temi aggiuntivi per chi si orienta meglio nella programmazione con colori diversi da quelli standard

Aspetti negativi:

Di intelliJ IDEA non c'è nulla che mi ha deluso

Commenti: Essendo studente alla magistrale di Intelligenza Artificiale, sto usando IntelliJ per completare un progetto di creazione di pannelli LED pubblicitari.
Molto bello graficamente e abbastanza intuitivo.
Bella la possibilità di avere Github Copilot direttamente integrato.
Consiglio caldamente.

Sviluppare codice Java in modo efficace

Commenti: IntelliJ IDEA mi ha permesso di lavorare in modo più semplice e più rapido con il codice Java e con lo sviluppo di app.

Aspetti positivi:

Uso IntelliJ IDEA sia per uso istruttivo (università) sia per uso lavorativo. Software completo per sviluppare codice Java e creazione di app. Ha la possibilità di estendere la compatibilità del codice grazie a molti plugin da poter installare in app. La versione gratuita (Community Edition) è già abbastanza completa da ricoprire la maggior parte delle funzioni necessarie per lavorare. Una delle funzionalità principali di IntelliJ IDEA è quello di generare automaticamente documentazione dei vari progetti creati e sviluppati dall'utente.

Aspetti negativi:

Nonostante IntelliJ IDEA sia un'app continuamente aggiornata dagli sviluppatori e migliorate, spesso soffre di bug che non permettono di gestire il codice in maniera ottimale; ad esempio, alcune volte capita che la mancanza di un punto e virgola non viene segnalata subito facendo perdere del tempo nella fase di compilazione e di esecuzione di un programma.

Commenti: Molto robusto e performante, non ha punti deboli

IntelliJ offre suggerimenti intelligenti per il completamento del codice, la correzione degli errori e l'ottimizzazione del codice, funzionalità avanzate di debugging, vasta gamma di plugin disponibili

Aspetti negativi:

Il debugging è macchinoso, sopratutto controllare il valore delle varibili

IDE professionale e impeccabile ma costosa

Aspetti positivi:

Rende il processo di scrittura del codice molto semplice. Il software è molto facile da usare (come quasi tutti gli IDE di questo tipo). I suggerimenti automatici e il supporto per vari plugin consentono allo sviluppatore di risparmiare tempo e di aumentare la sua produttività.

Aspetti negativi:

il pacchetto enterprise è un po' pesante, manca il supporto a docker e ogni tanto la console lagga. Pur essendo un software professionale fatto molto bene, ritengo ingiustificato il prezzo dato che ci sono altri software che fanno le stesse cose a prezzi inferiori o addirittura Gratis.

Actually this is one of the best IDEA I have ever used, as a software developer I have been using IntelliJ IDEA nearly for 6 years. It highlight the potential errors, warnings and suggest possible fixes help me for smooth development. Its seamless git integration helps me for smooth version controlling, It is really user friendly to use. It support plugins like SonarLint which help us to manage our lint issues nicely

Aspetti negativi:

as per I see it is feature rich IDEA so that it take some time to get familiar with, also it required some additional tool for collaborative workflow. For small or quick code reviews it will be overkilled the time. Also I would say not ideal for non JetBrains tools for CI/CD

Stability and usability all in one!

Commenti: I develop Spring Boot powered Java backend Services and use the IDE to debug and develop the new services and methods, the inbuilt decompiler is also very useful in the case documentation is not available for an obsecure dependency

Too many services are paid, Maybe provide the AI code completion on a trial without adding in card details

Powerful code editor for java developer

Aspetti positivi:

IntelliJ IDEA is one of the best code editor for software development. The shortcuts and suggestion for code makes the coding journey very easy. The interface is pleasing for the eyes which makes the code debugging quick and effective.

Aspetti negativi:

It takes a lot of memory of computer which makes the experience worst if you are running it on a low end computer. For beginners it might take a lot of effort to setup

As a software engineer, I spend a large part of my day working with Intellij. The software offers features that simplify or improve my daily productivity, such as autocompletion, a very powerful debugger, efficient version management, unit test management and more. Intelij's interface is also a positive point: it's modern and customizable.

Aspetti negativi:

On the other hand, Intellij is far from perfect; in my opinion, its biggest flaw lies in its performance. It's a fairly heavy piece of software that can quickly consume a lot of resources and block display, especially when indexing files. It's also a program that will require a bit of learning to make full use of its power.

It's a fully featured and stable IDEA. One of the features I like the most is the Remote Host tool with which you can directly connect to a remote server, manage the files and do many useful operations.

Sometimes it feels a little bit heavy and slow, especially during file indexing operation.

A really good option for college students to develop software

Commenti: I've been using IntelliJ IDEA to develop Minecraft plugins for almost 2 years. I made a really good decision by using this software. I liked the fact that I could customize the UI and use my own themes and plugins. The preparation to build Minecraft plugins was really easy and fast, I loved that. I really recommend using IntelliJ IDEA to develop Minecraft plugins/mods.

I liked because they provide a yearly free subscription for college students, which really helped because I needed a free/cheap IDE to try out my Java skills. The option I liked the most to practice Java was by making Minecraft plugins, and IntelliJ IDEA helped me with that.

Aspetti negativi:

I unfortunately encountered some bugs when I tried to move my IntelliJ IDEA data from one device to another and couldn't set it up correctly so I had to reinstall the app on my new device.
