Commenti: The bottom line is that when you are at work, time is money/productivity, and CodeLobster's PHP debugger is guaranteed to save considerable amounts of time (unless you write prefect code - haha)

The interactive PHP debugger contains all of the information that you would get when debugging a compiled language like C or C++, even though PHP is a scripted language. It is invaluable for finding the root cause of difficult bugs, and because it is so easy to use it is can lead you to a solution with simple bugs also, due to the limitations of print-style output in a complex client screen scenario. Also, being able to view the fine details of the environment while tracing though code is simply impossible without this type of powerful tool. It pays for itself very quickly, in terms of time saved. Scope/'stack' is preserved for breakpoints/tracing.

Aspetti negativi:

I could not find a way to display larger data items easily in their entirety (that might be my bad for not finding it ?).

Good PHP IDE, but could definitely use a UI update

Codelobster PHP Edition is a pretty stable, feature-rich PHP IDE with support for many frameworks and Content Management Systems. It provides effective debugging with in-built database connections and server integration. It is also quite handy in mapping out PHP and HTML files.

Aspetti negativi:

This IDE could definitely use a UI update. Its UI is quite outdated and doesn't look so good when you stack it up against other modern IDEs.

My opinion on CodeLobster IDE

Commenti: CodeLobster IDE can be used for all types of web projects. No need to install Java or net framework. It works equally well on my Ubuntu system and under Windows.

This is a paid software. So you need to buy a license to use all the functionality.

One of the Best IDE's for PHP

I am very impressed with the plugins available for many of the popular frameworks out there like WordPress, Joomla, Magento and so many more. They really went out of their way to make CodeLobster IDE one of the best out there.

I do like everything about the IDE but if I should pick one thing, I think the interface could be improved. The top Icons are all over the place and so many of them. Easy to get confused. But still one of the best out there!

Great for debugging

Codelobster is great for large projects because how easily it can group files and assign them .Highlighting is very useful and saves a lot of time when it comes to debugging . Being able to collapse the code also helps what that.

Outside of the program being fairly hard to learn , I do not feel there are any negatives worth mentioning .

It has excellent autocomplete tools, especially when JQuery is installed. It allows to show compatible browsers with the css code that you are writing. It has a free version and is a huge advantage since most IDEs are paid or consume too many resources in the system.

Codelobster IDE has a wide assortment of PHP plugins built in, which makes setting up a new project very quick and easy. If you are working with a PHP Framework, Codelobster supports it.

Aspetti negativi:

The UI can be a little clunky and slow, but this does not deter from the overall experience with the software. Loading files remotely can be a little slow, but nothing too worry about.

I've used codelobster for about 2 months when I was looking for a dedicated IDE for PHP, it has a ton of features, more than what you need to get started. It has a powerful code intelligence capabilities, you can spin up a server with wordpress installation very quickly...

Aspetti negativi:

My biggest complain is the interface which is so outdated. There is a lot of alternatives with a modern interface that matches the actual standards. But if it's not important for you then the IDE is a good choice.
