Commenti: I have been very pleased with the level of support I have received. In particular, Wagepoint did a great job solving an issue after the recent transition in November 2020 out of "QBO advanced payroll."

I am grateful for the automatic export of journal entries to QBO and the employee classing features which help a lot with management accounting and generating reports.

Aspetti negativi:

The setup is a bit challenging and the price is a bit steep for my smaller clients.

Waste of Time and Money

It had the appearance of functionality. At first, I thought they understood the withholdings and filings that needed to be made.

We had issues from the moment we started the setup process (which was not as straightforward as the web site led us to believe ). Many things needed to be clarified and corrected after the setup process and Wagepoint was not available for quick contact most of that time. Customer service is nearly non-existent. But the final reason we left was that their ACH processor, NatPay, suggested our business was related to products we have nothing to do with and WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY DATA placed the burden of proof on us. This happened without warning and Wagepoint simply parroted their inquiry. In fact, the evidence they asked from us was our URL, as if that would have proven anything. I could have given them any URL I wanted. This silly request from an already difficult little Canadian company (Yes, based on Nova Scotia) was not worth my time, trust, or effort and we fired them. Now, we pay them nothing to do what we were already half-doing to begin with to support our completely legal and ethical company that has nothing to do with the shady business they suggested. I would disagree with the user whose review stated you get what you pay for with Wagepoint. I did not pay to be irritated by a service company.

As a payroll company, we are required to put all prospective customers through rigorous screening before we can do business with them. While we're attempting to better our processes, there are times when legitimate companies get caught in the risk filters. This might be the case with your company. It is very easy to use - from set up, running payroll, adjusting information on T4s. Customer Support has been incredible! It is reasonably priced which is important as I work in the Non Profit sector. Most important for me is that the customer support is provided free of charge.

So far I haven't found a con and have been using the system for 5 years I believe.

Commenti: Wagepoint is a wonderful option for a stand alone or service or an add on to your bookkeeping firm. It's nice because you can set it up and the clients would be able to run their own payroll because of the simplicity.

We love how they simplify payroll. Payroll can be challenging and there are so many moving parts, but with Wagepoint, they take some of the burden off. It's wonderful!

The main page I find not as easy to just login and simply run payroll, but it's really not that big of a deal.

Excellent customer service to back up a very user friendly product

Commenti: Aside from the report period variation described above, Wagepoint has been very easy to use and the customer support (when needed) has been very quick and helpful.

We recently underwent a payroll audit and had to produce 12 months of reports. Although the source deductions must be calculated and remitted monthly by Wagepoint on the back end, the only reports available on the user side were based on pay periods. Since my client has weekly payruns, it was very tedious to download each week and the auditor was not thrilled having to consolidate it and try to match monthly remittances.

Great Customer Support

Easy to use with tracking hours and importing into the bi-weekly processing.

Aspetti negativi:

Processing Terminations and ROE's is done after processing rather part of the processing. It's an extra step and can easily be missed.

Aspetti positivi:

Their product (especially the UI), pricing, and customer support. We used ADP before switching over to Wagepoint and running each payroll via ADP was just dreadful. Wagepoint is much easier to use and more affordable, and their customer support team is friendly.

Aspetti negativi:

You can't reach their support team over the phone. They only accept emails.

Love this product

Commenti: Previous to Wagepoint I would use the online government calculator to calculate payroll expenses, never sure I did it right. I would have to do each employee separately and remember all the deductions or codes that applied to them. I then had to e-transfer funds. With e-transfer limits it would take 2 or 3 days to get everyone paid so I have to start on the 12 or 13 of each month and again on the 29 and 30th. This has been heaven. It took a learning curve and a few rough spots. You never know how good customer service is until you need it. They talked through my frustration and always understood how important paying my amazing staff was. They had several options available to them should a mistake happen. This is when I truly knew the type of company I was dealing with. I recommend them because they are there in the good and bad moments. That is true customer service.

I love that I can pay my staff in one transaction, the payroll taxes are paid for me and I can break down the different jobs they do to show the hours correctly.

Aspetti negativi:

I wish that we could show days the staff worked and add the actual charters they did (the name of the place) this would make it better for charter drivers. Same with school runs, if I could put the route and if it was am and pm or just am and the days it would help the drivers see it better.

The best choice for a small - medium business

Commenti: We have been with Wagepoint for almost 3 years now. There are a couple of features that I would like to see added, but otherwise the UI and functionality are quite good. The thing that really sets Wagepoint apart is their customer service. I am always impressed by their attentiveness, accessibility and ability to fix all of my problems!

The customer service and the intuitive UI. I also really appreciate the reminder emails.

Aspetti negativi:

I would like the software to pro-rate pay if I have a new employee starting mid pay period. I would also appreciate the option to rollback the payroll if I catch an error (however, their CS can do that for you if you ask!).

Wagepoint Is On Point!

Commenti: Overall Wagepoint is one of my favourite payroll systems to run payroll. It is very user friendly and the support is usually very responsive and agents are happy to help.

Wagepoint reports can sometime be a little wonky and I've had some trouble with ROEs in the past but support has always been readily available to help me resolve any issues.

Lack of Response Regarding Quarterly Unemployment Tax Payment

Commenti: Has been satisfactory until this matter came up. Now we have not received return calls, responses to emails nor have we been able to speak with a live person who can assist. We have been advised there is no other way to reach out directly to a person. We have been in touch with the State department employee for nearly 2 weeks who advised us today that she has not heard from anyone at WagePoint regarding this. We notified them of the issue nearly 2 weeks ago and I was informed that someone at WagePoint would take care of it and also had connected with the State department this week. The State employe advised me today that she has not spoken with anyone other than us. The lack of responsiveness and inaccurate information is unacceptable and of major concern to any company. We will resolve this matter ourselves to avoid further adverse action by the State department .

Wagepoint will eliminate your payroll pain

Commenti: My practice was eager to streamline its workflows as it related to payroll. We have fully embraced Cloud Technology and with such needed to find an online solution for payroll. Since implementing Wagepoint our firm has saved roughly an incredible amount of time, we now can focus on what our client really want.....Feedback.

Not sure if 1500 characters is enough to mention all the Pros. So here they are in short form: Employee Portal for employees to view T4 & Paystubs and change address info. Direct deposit. Auto remittance to CRA for payroll deductions. Auto remittance to WSIB for workers compensation premiums, auto Record of Employment generation (perfect for seasonal clients), EHT remittances, easy reports to export to Quickbooks Online or other cloud accounting solutions. Employees can divide pay into 3 CDN$ bank accounts. Multiple pay groups allowed. Easy to implement. Customer service totally ROCKS!!! Easy request to auto populate deductions....AND HERE IS THE BEST PART.....it automatically calculates Stat Pay!!! Whoot Whoot!

GREAT and EASY to use

Commenti: Use wagepoint for my payroll service and love that it is quick and easy to use. Helped us when our accounting program stopped being supported and tax tables were not available.

That vacation is only accrued by percentage instead of hours as all our employees receive 3 weeks vacation and the accrual in wagepoint does not accurately reflect this. None of my employees are receiving notifications that their pay stubs are available.

We have taken care of this on our end, so moving forward, your employees will receive an email notification to let them know their pay stubs are ready for viewing. Wagepoint - great payroll service at a very reasonable price

Commenti: Have used Wagepoint for about 3 years and have only had 3 or 4 instances when I needed any assistance. Each time they solved my issue in a super prompt and friendly manner. I have had previous experience with a different major payroll service provider and they are not even in the same league as Wagepoint when it comes to Customer Service.

Website is very friendly; easy to learn, easy to use and an average payroll requires very little time to complete. We don't even have to distribute paystubs. Wagepoint does that for us by providing each employees with online access to all their personal information.

Aspetti negativi:

Nothing is perfect but I can't think of any suggestions for improvement
