Love the platform, makes on boarding new employees a breeze.

Commenti: Time - This software has saved my sanity in on boarding new employees and now we have over 100 staff its great that they can update their details themselves.

Ease of use, great on boarding tool, cuts the contract time down considerably, Great task list features, good reporting functions as you can customize easily. Collates all the employee information meaning accounts aren't left to chase down these items from employees. The employees love the platform too as it has all their information for them in one place and they all love the Annual Leave function

Aspetti negativi:

I would like to be able to assign certain sections to other employees - for example it would be good if the accounts staff could view "Employee Bank Details" without having access to any other information I would also like to be able to amend and upload (or delete) our own contracts rather than having to go through the support team every time - Support are great if I am not in a rush as it normally take 24-48 Hours to turn around, but if I just need to alter something quickly it would be nice to add and remove myself

Commenti: Overall, the platform has decreased the amount of time we were spending on the HR & Payroll function, our biggest win was the automation of the onboarding process.We are still struggling (nearly 18 months down the track) with some of the Rule Sets in the payroll function that do not work how they need to - we are manually adjusting some payslips every week.The support team are not very supportive in the first instance. We have been left high and dry and missed the bank cutoff on our pay day on several occasions because of their lack of response - which has meant that 150+ people got paid a day late - not ideal. Once you actually get in contact with a support person, they are generally quite helpful, however, I am still waiting on a response to a support ticket that was placed over 4 months ago - seems its too hard, so they are just ignoring me. Even the Customer Success Manager has not followed it up.New features are rolled out without proper testing - for instance, the paid break feature. It seems that they are intent on creating new features that are not crucial to our business and leaving the core functionality behind.Should have gone with Elmo.

The implementation phase - we completed as many checks as we could, but as a manufacturing business that has hourly paid & salaried staff, with multiple shifts across 2 sites & a specific Enterprise Agreement, we could not identify every single scenario, so after we rolled it out, there we unforeseen issues that we were just left to deal with. Once the implementation team completed the implementation to their satisfaction, they wiped their hands of us and handed us over to the support team, who never answer the phone and take their time to respond to your queries.The system is not flexible - there are several feature requests that we have put through because it just doesn't work as we need it to. The reporting needs to be better - the graphs are pretty, but I would like to be able to download the data behind them - some reports you can, some you can't. The goals module may work for professional services businesses, but not for manufacturing.The payroll platform reporting also needs to be more flexible - you can only create custom reports on certain things. We need to slice & dice information and the only way to do that is to manipulate it in Excel.The integration of the HR & Payroll platforms. Leave requests & expense reimbursements do not integrate from HR to Payroll. Neither do terminated employees integrate from Payroll to HR - if you terminate someone in Payroll, you have to replicate it in HR, so double-handling.That stupid app SWAG - should never have changed it.

The onboarding was the main function, and it doesn't work very well

Aspetti negativi:

A few weeks after entering the contract, the company re-vamped the whole site and gave my employees a totally new app. All very confusing having to re-learn the layout etc. Then they 'Bully" me into having to complete their requirements or face an increase in the cost of the contract - at the same time reminding me that I have signed up for 12 months.

On the Organisation Employee List, 'pending' employees are shown. It would be ideal if you could choose whether the candidate is 'pending' or 'active' because some of our recruitment is highly confidential.

Commenti: We have had a really positive experience. For a well priced, off the shelf package it is very good. Service is not always available immediately but is always helpful and friendly. The experience continues to get better as the product constantly improves.

Great off the shelf product for managing a small to medium size business. There is enough customisation to add the features we need and all of the basic HR functions are available. The service is great (may need to wait for a reply but very helpful and friendly).

Aspetti negativi:

The Certification function is not yet perfect but I'm sure this will evolve with time. Employment Hero continue to develop and enhance the product.

- Automated streamlined onboarding- Benefits and rewards are built-in- Communications options to get out quick messages out to teams- Everything is connected!

Aspetti negativi:

Better access management to features and employee files - security setting and default position on some features can be frustrating.It generates a lot of emails for administrators as employees work through the onboarding process - updates on bank details, updates on super, updates on tax info. You need to know all of it when people change their details, this should be fine-tuned for onboarding

HR made easy

Commenti: The fact we can have up to 350 people inducted and work ready over our peak season the thing we loved most was the ease in which we could do multiple pays per week for the different divisions we have, and the fact employees can access their payslips, leave balances etc is just awesome.
We most definitely saved hours pay day by using this system very happy we made the change to Employment Hero.

We found the system super easy to use once set up had been completed it was a very simple process to move over to Employment Hero - We use a lot of seasonal workers through Cherry season and this system made it so much easier for employees as well as the admin team.

Aspetti negativi:

Not so much as liking least but it just took a while to work out which information was where in the menu

Soltuion to our Cost Centre Reporting!

Commenti: We've been using Employment Hero for more than two years now. We started with one entity and then decided to move all our entities to it. The HR and Payroll platforms are very easy to navigate. We very much benefited from the Cost Centre Reporting and integrating that with our Bookkeeping software made our reporting very easy. The HR platform is our employees first point of contact to find any data about our organisation, policies and procedure, agreements... etc. On top of that most of our employees are finding it much easier to track their Leave balances and status through the mobile app.
The Online Support is very quick in general and there is always a solution to any query we put through to the team,
Overall, a great deal to our organisation!

Most likeable feature we found in the system for our organisation is the easy integration of our Bookkeeping software and the ability to import the payroll journal. That made our cost centre reporting very easy and accurate.

Aspetti negativi:

It would be great if it can be linked to the Outlook Calendar!

A timesaving business value HR platform once you get set-up

We effectively use EH as our online HR platform. In this aspect it is spot on with Policies, Compliance, Certifications, HR Docs, Contracts and Onboarding. Very happy to use an Australian company. The guidance templates for HR docs and policies are excellent. Pricing is incredibly efficient. Subscription outsourcing is the now for smart businesses. Payroll Xero integration through EH is much less impressive which is such a shame.

Minor features are missing. Xero payroll functionality is not good enough - actually that's a major issue. How can you not have YTD available on pay slips?? We've had to revert to Xero's My Payroll, so now staff have 2 platforms to manage. Then the smaller but equally frustrating items - You can enter the public holidays that apply to your location but these aren't reflected in the team leave calendar as an identified PH. Why not? You have already identified then surely the data can be pulled into the team calendar. I submitted questions to the helpdesk and in reply got an answer but got told to sign up for an online Q&A session for future queries. I don't have time for an hour and to have to book in time, I should just be able to email off a question and at some point get and answer. There are other minor frustrations but the overall HR functionality probably outweighs the issues, until we find better.

As our HR Platform, it provides access to great tools for insights and staff management.

Commenti: Biggest benefit is having all the staff data in one place, plus auditing tools/notes to record staff changes and moves. It is fast, simple and does exactly what it needs to.

Aspetti positivi:

It is easy to use, relatively comprehensive, and is a one-stop shop for employee data. We utilise it primarily for recording employee data and contracts (not Payroll) and offers good tools to report on compliance and profile completeness. It is currently an essential tool in our business for managing our staff.

Aspetti negativi:

Most features are pretty well thought out, and one of the biggest limitations (timeframe and cost to have custom built contracts/policies) is soon to be a thing of the past. Probably the biggest bug I have is after viewing or sending a contract to a recipient, there is no one-click to return the the Employee File - you either need to search again or navigate back in the browser.

Commenti: I have a very good experience with the product. It's simple and easy to use, which is good for a basic solution. Clients enjoy having a solution that costs very little and is easy to setup and use

Simple interface Easy to train clients Fairly easy setup Even the free version is excellent The ability to send electronic employment contracts is fantastic

Fiddly to create templates Sometimes 'buggy' when trying to add or remove employees Workflows are sometimes frustrating. Once you've moved on to issuing a contract, you can't 'go back' and change the contract without deleting the entire personnel file and starting again

Great customer service, easy to use product

Commenti: Everything about Employment Hero is easy to use and easy to understand. Has helped our organisation do paperless with HR and track/control more with less effort (better than our previous system combination of software/files/folers).

Aspetti positivi:

The ability to upload policies, HR documents and the system tracks the completion/acknowledgment for you in a fast and simple way. The people behind the customer service are responsive and helpful so it's not just "software as a service"..you get great support too.

Aspetti negativi:

It does everything it says it does well. The way people can sign documents on their phones/tablets/computers is a little inaccurate (turns your signature into more of a scribble) which should be improved, but that's mostly cosmetic.

Aspetti positivi:

Employment Hero is super easy to use. The instant benefit we received was taking our onboarding and HR to a system with paperless processes. Long term I'm looking forward to have all information in one place which can easily be tracked and reported on. Employment Hero also has so many great special features, and they keep adding to the platform to stay ahead of times and provide value to its costumers. Customer service is excellent, quick response and helpful, friendly team!

The cons we are facing at the moment is missing out on some of the payroll functions as we are running payroll through another system.

Functionality of having the mobile app for employees to log their leave requests, timsheets, view the staff directory and the web-based userface for being able to record, track and manage employees. Also, the on-boarding features are very time sufficient. In the past, our company documented everything manually and printed pages of contracts which would require a physical with signature. Now with Employment Hero everything is completed on the platform and located in one central location and new employees have the ability to login and view as well as digitally sign their employment contract/offer of employment. The ability to review payslips is also a great and private feature of Employment Hero - It is something we are not using at the moment but at looking at phasing out in the near future.

I don't really have any con's of the software application within Employment Hero. Maybe the opportunity to have a Time in Lieu (TOIL) reporting system can be explored by the developers would assist us more in our operations functions.

expensive phone customer support can make it challenging to get a quick answer to a query. Email support is free, however, can be slow.

Makes life simple

Commenti: Employment Hero has made our HR life easier, it provides one place to keep all our staff files and talks to Xero. We are still not using it to its 100% functionality, but finding better ways each day. Customer support is excellent.

Like it - but needs more flexibility

Commenti: Good but a little frustrating. I like the platform but it needs some work to make some of its features a little more flexible.

The set up and implementation of Employment Hero was relatively simple. Really did't take that long to integrate with Xero and it all seems to sync nicely.

Aspetti negativi:

There are parts to this platform that are a little clumsy. For example, 1. when making templates up based on PDFs you cannot simply replace the PDF of the base document, you have to delete the entire document and all the dynamic fields and start again. 2. Expenses and Leave approvals can only be approved by one manager, which eliminates businesses that have different managers for each function. Would be good to be able to allocate who approves expenses and who approves leave. 3. Managers can't see leave balances only admins, which is not ideal as managers need to be able to check leave entitlements before approving requests.

Excellent product and service

Aspetti positivi:

It talks to Xero and it is very intuitive and easy to use. It not only has saved us hundreds of dollars in HR and time, it is helping us to organise our policies and other processes in one place. The onboarding tools are also fantastic and totally automate the process while still giving us full control. This really is a fantastic product, it is more than paying for itself and we are still only on the learning curve, probably using 30% of its potential. Being cloud-based it also a big advantage for us and it allows the user to log-in regardless of where they are and what devise they use.
