Informazioni su Frame.io
La collaborazione video di Frame.io ti consente di caricare, rivedere e condividere contenuti multimediali in privato con tutto il tuo team.
We use it make vids of our building sites - it is easy to use across the team and saves time compared to 'normal' video editing on imac.
My company doesn't have precious time to waste on boarding people onto new software, so I found using Frame.io to be more trouble than it was worth.

Elevate your creative workflow
Commenti: I think my perspective of using Frame is a bit unique as I don't directly use it for creating, however, I do use it for sharing and presenting creative concepts to my clients and it's a fantastic tool for that. So easy to present and stay organized.
Aspetti positivi:
Easy to deliver concepts, so easy to leave feedback and comments, and very easy to organize.
Aspetti negativi:
Their support and CS isn't prompt and very helpful, have to troubleshoot a lot yourself.
Especially useful to better understand customer changes
Aspetti positivi:
Very useful to get quick and accurate feedback on the video without having to use services not created for this, thanks to the possibility of commenting and uploading different versions always at the same link makes it very easy to share with people even those not in the trade
Aspetti negativi:
I find the option to download the video poorly signposted and often have to remember to click the
Severely underdeveloped
Commenti: Horrible app. Stay away, do not upload anything on it which needs to be downloaded by someone else.
Aspetti positivi:
Absolutely nothing. I rarely write reviews but I had to for this one because this is appalling.
Aspetti negativi:
Very frustrating. I have been sent 76 files consisting of videos and pictures to download as I am an editor. Not only can you not choose the destination of where you want them to download, you have to download them one by one. I have to find the folder i want to put the files in 76 times now...in 2024, how could you make such an underdeveloped app. Nothing else i can do but accept it though. Horrible app.
Game Changer for Video Editors
Aspetti positivi:
Frame.io is an incredible resource for video production teams. Team members can upload videos to the Frame.io website, and whoever needs to review the video is able to leave comments at specific times throughout the video. No more manual lists of timecodes and notes, or guessing which part of the video a reviewer may be giving a note on. Videos can also be uploaded to Frame.io to be shared as presentations for clients, or viewers outside of a given team, and the page they view is customizable. You can choose background color, text color for the title of the video, and even the thumbnail you'd like to appear on the screen when the reviewer opens the video's link. The ability to "stack" or "layer" updated versions of the same video is useful and unique to Frame.io as well. You'll always be able to view the genesis of a given video, from its first version to its final version (as long as you don't delete past versions). Frame.io has massively increased our team's efficiency, and streamlined communication regarding all of our video deliverables.
Aspetti negativi:
The only area that still needs improvement is with the desktop app version of Frame.io. The app only allows for uploads and downloads of files - you cannot leave timecoded comments, play videos for review, or layer video versions on top of one another. I always prefer to use the desktop version of any application I use, but the Frame.io desktop app is lacking in its current form.
Alternative considerate:
Finally a video project manager that makes sense
Commenti: Overall it's been great. I'm hoping they can fix the current bug.
Aspetti positivi:
I love that my team members and clients can give frame specific feedback on video reviews. This ability has been great because I can more easily "force" clients to only give specific, actionable feedback by funneling them to Frame.io as our only place for revision communication. This has greatly reduced the vague emails and phone calls. Client: "uhhh, it kinda feels a little slow in the middle". Now I can reply, "Ok, can you point out specifically when and where it feels slow?" This has also made me become a better producer/director because that same limitation applies to me. It forces me to only give specific and actionable feedback to my team members, which makes the editing process more efficient and forces me to be more decisive in my feedback given.
Aspetti negativi:
Currently there is a bug for the past few months where when I send a link to a client Frame.io asks them to create an account after they click the link. It didn't used to do this, it simply required them to put in their email address once and then go straight to reviewing. This has caused several headaches on recent projects.

Alternative considerate:
A necessary tool for professional video creators
Commenti: I loved using Frame.io, but after some clients had trouble using it, I moved over to Vimeo Pro. Since then, my clients have had no issue leaving comments. The cost is better, but only slightly.
Aspetti positivi:
The concept of this is a no-brainer need for any video producer. Your client leaves comments at time-stamped sections and you are then notified of every note made. You can then reply to the comment or just check it off. You can "hide" the checked comments which is very helpful if you're going through a long list of notes and need to sift through what has been addressed and what hasn't .
Aspetti negativi:
I wasn't able to determine why, but I had about a dozen clients who had a hard time leaving comments. It may have been something to do with the need to log in first, which some clients didn't want to create yet another log-in. Aside from this issue, the cost is a bit high. When you add up all the other subscription software you need from CRMs, Invoicing, Cloud storage, Adobe and about a hundred other things, Frame.io's cost can be difficult to accept, especially after having some clients not even use the system.

Easy Reviews on Video Projects
Commenti: It is simple and easy for our team to use to make comments on video projects.
Aspetti positivi:
Our main use of Frame.io is for reviewing and commenting on rough edits of marketing and youtube videos. It is simple to comment on or annotate with drawing for a specific timestamp so our video editor can understand where changes are needed. We like the direct integration with Premiere Pro.
Aspetti negativi:
It seems the product is going in the direction of offering more complete video project management. While I see these could be useful for video production teams, we don't really need the extra project management features as we manage all projects in a separate project management software which includes much more than video-related tasks.
Terrible customer service - no bulk export option - stuck for ever
Commenti: Very poor experience, terrible customer service. no way to bulk export your videos so your stuck with them forever. They try and upsell everyone by suspended your account if you get close to the storage limits. I would stay far away.
Aspetti positivi:
Decent platform for hosting videos and providing feedback
Aspetti negativi:
- customer service is terrible - if you go over your storage limits (even by accident) they suspend your account and you can't access anything and all your link break - no way to bulk export your videos

Saves time! Proper collaboration!
Commenti: Overall experience has been great! I ran out of room in the pros section, but there's so much to like about this site! Exporting comments to your editing program, uploading directly from your editing program, versioning, status, multiple file types handled, great price points, flexibility with team members and collaborators, the list could go on. Definitely a must have for video collaboration!
Aspetti positivi:
I love how easy Frame.io makes collaboration! Before I was using it, I was putting a video online, and then getting emails back with unclear timecode stamps, vague requests, and just general confusion with a lot of edits I was trying to make. Or having to schedule time to have an in-person client meeting to go over fairly minor changes. Online collaboration with frame.io cuts down on a lot of the confusion and time needed for meetings. Clients, with very little training, can leave comments right on specific times on the video, and then if still unclear, we can have a conversation right in the comment thread. Being able to draw right on the frame as well and leave that as a comment is a great help in many situations too. Being able to upload multiple file types in the project is super handy for getting files to clients or other assets from them. Folders within the projects help cut down on clutter as well. Frame.io can make it very clear as to what needs attention and what's client approved with their status tags, and sending out to external collaborators who just need to see one or two videos, but not the whole project, is a snap as well. I can even generate a presentation link to send out for captioning as well to keep things simple. When all is said and done, it's nice to be able to house a master version on the project, as well as have frame.io produce various compressed versions for the client to download directly.
Aspetti negativi:
Some more features would be great, maybe being able to mark some sub-comments as complete if a client starts loading requests into the thread instead of a new comment. Locking down a file would be great as well, so an editor would know comments can't be added anymore, or a file can't be downloaded. But other than some requests, I have no real major complaints.

Great platform for reviewing video
Commenti: Great overall platform for receiving client feedback on projects and also for archiving past projects.
Aspetti positivi:
Great for getting client feedback. The commenting system is great for getting precise feedback on certain parts of the video. The integration with Adobe Premiere is also very good and streamlines the post production workflow.
Aspetti negativi:
Would be great if it didn't cost so much to add additional seats/users
A groundbreaking collaboration solution
Aspetti positivi:
Frame.io is a groundbreaking solution to collaborate on video content creation.
Aspetti negativi:
The storage can be limiting but not a dealbreaker.
A MUST for any production house!
Commenti: If you make video deliverables, you HAVE to try frame.io. It eliminates the endless chains of emails, uploads to YouTube/Vimeo and wastes everyone's time less. I've been dreaming of a platform like this for YEARS and it's finally here. If you have video deliverables, this is a must-have. It's worth every penny in allowing comments, approvals, the actual final clips, members of your and their team, etc to all live in one place. I would never go back to the old way of getting video to clients ever again.
Aspetti positivi:
Frame.io makes it so easy to share video assets with clients, departments or whoever you work with. There are just enough features to make it useful, but no so many that people not familiar with video get overwhelmed. It has easy to use video commenting, approvals, viewing and distribution. The Premiere Pro plugin is a game changer. It lets you see the comments, on the timeline, in REAL time as you're scrubbing though the video. I love how you can upload multiple versions of a video (like v1, then v2, v3) and easily see the changes made between the versions. When someone makes a request within a comment for something to be changed, the Premiere Pro plugin lets you put a checkbox on that comment to let the commenter know you saw/made the change. Upload speeds are fast and videos are ready in full quality FASTER (take less time to process) than when uploading to YouTube. You can upload directly from Premiere Pro/Media Encoder... so you can literally finish the edit and just walk away. Your video will encode, upload to frame.io, and send out emails to let everyone know there is a video to watch or approve. The automated email messages to let the client/people involved know that a video has been uploaded, viewed, commented on, etc are also very useful. The interface is pretty. It's a great value too; you get a lot of features for the money.
Aspetti negativi:
I can't really think of anything negative. I did have a few issues uploading, but this was when the platform was still relatively new and the
One of the great SaaS offerings
Commenti: Amazing. I use this everyday for client approval work for videos. When I've needed support, it's fast and friendly. The features keep getting better and better. The UI is a dream to use.
Aspetti positivi:
The UI and functionality are amazing. It has some kind of magic upload engine that allows for really fats uploading of video.
Aspetti negativi:
I wish I was able to integrate my archiving solution easier. But really that's my failing as there is a full featured API available.
Frame, quite literally, reinvented my post-production workflow
Commenti: Speed and flexibility to review edited video content from practically anywhere with a internet connection. Frame is remarkably suited to push video collaboration in brand new ways.
Aspetti positivi:
Frame provides unrivaled post-production collaboration for video professionals. The ability to make real-time notes on editor's work is game-changing, and the client accessibility is top notch. I cannot fully express how valuable Frame is to our client review process. And the speed of the web-interface is basically magic. We can hardly achieve similar scrub speeds on our workstations. The ludicrous speed, massively flexible feature set, and sheer value-addedness (I know this is not a word, but seriously, just use this software and see how it changes your workflow) make Frame a foundational part of our business.
Great place to upload videos for team member comments
Aspetti positivi:
The interface is so clean. There is a lot to love about this product, but my favorite has to be the ease of use. I can upload a video, which takes only minutes compared to a lot longer on other platforms, and my team members can comment on the video. They can even tag a specific frame with their comment, and I can play the frame right from the comment. I love that I can view 2 versions of a video at the same time, so I can see what changes were made.
Aspetti negativi:
Not a whole lot I don’t like, the team sends way too many emails so watch out when signing up for the email newsletters.
Great way to review video with coworkers and clients
Aspetti positivi:
Drop a comment anywhere in the timeline, have discussions around it. Publish directly from Premiere! Version control, and easy to use file management.
Aspetti negativi:
Free trial used to be a good single person or hobbyist option. Now it has a hard stop after which you have to pay more than anyone outside of being a full time pro can afford.
Great software for Video Production remote teams
Commenti: Great tool!
Aspetti positivi:
Frame.io is the best service for Video Production teams, especially remotely teams. It allow us to have a fast feedback from our customers, and also have a better understanding of client thoughts
Aspetti negativi:
Not the best pricing packages list. Will be great to have a little bit more flexibility.
Boocy's Review
Aspetti positivi:
This is the best and fastest video review. It works best on filmmaking since I work in a Media company and has the best storage for videos.
Aspetti negativi:
There's nothing I don't like about this software except recommend it for every graphics person.
A great solution for video editing
Aspetti positivi:
I would compare Frame.io to Google Docs where you can edit videos and media content with your co-workers online. You'll see a boost to productivity and cooperation.
Aspetti negativi:
The pricing may be a deterrence for you wanting to purchase the software. Like many other platforms, you will have to pay a premium fee which might not be too attractive.
Software for collaborative evaluation of videos.
Commenti: Upload videos for review by co-workers and clients. Rate videos and chat with co-workers. Transfer videos between co-workers.
Aspetti positivi:
Allows the evaluation of video materials by co-workers. Possibility to add comments and graphic signs in a given minute of the video. Works with adobe premiere software.
Aspetti negativi:
Price could be lower, or can be combined with other Adobe packages.
Great for video and file management, less buggy than Dbox
Commenti: It definitely did the job. We were introduced by a vendor, and now we are using it internally. We prefer over Dropbox etc.
Aspetti positivi:
Great for sending videos that need to play without having to download. Good versioning, commenting etc
Aspetti negativi:
Not free of course. Could have a nicer design.

Frame.io Great for Filmmakers
Commenti: It's nice working with Frame.io when collaborating with other filmmakers. It was more difficult when sending the project to a client that was unfamiliar with the software. It's a bit more challenging than I thought to work with after it was originally recommended to me by my production studio in terms of uploading and updating. , but it's better than using YouTube.
This product has become a crucial part of our workflow .
Aspetti positivi:
I love that it integrates directly with Adobe Premier Pro. They are constantly updating features and quick to listen to the feedback of users
Aspetti negativi:
It still seems as though there are server issues at times when trying to upload projects. I have also noticed a time lag from when clients say they make notes and when I see them .
Video review framed
Aspetti positivi:
1) Making videos could not be easier 2) On point feedback of the video
Aspetti negativi:
1)Storage space and frame rates can be better matched .
Great time-saving app for you & your team
Aspetti positivi:
Frame.io is a fantastic way for teams to collaborate on video edits. Everyone can watch the film on their own time and collaborate/leave comments and edits all in one place to then approve and push live. This saves teams a lot of time and energy!
Aspetti negativi:
It's pretty pricey for small filmmakers and video teams, and hard to justify the value for the price point.
