Excellent software product.
Commenti: SO far, so good. We organize the activity of a fairly large maintenance department using this software.

EASE AND SUPPORT
Commenti: We run care homes for people with disabilities, the maintenance is ultra important and we need a great tool to help with maintenance and support SS-CMMS is it.

Best bang for the buck
Commenti: When ever I have an issue with malfunctioning aspect in the software, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is "Johnny on the Spot" to fix the problem. This doesn't happen often, usually only related to major updates and as far as I'm concerned it is not untypical to have problems with software updates. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] always responds quickly to resolve any problem.
Aspetti positivi:
This software is inexpensive. My company doesn't have deep pockets. If it were not for the price of SS-CMMS, I would likely have to use a legal pad and sticky notes. I was able to get this software working functional for my operation with a little bit of testing in the trial version. I modified some tables in a way that would help me organize data for service reports. I use this application throughout the day both on desktop and mobile app. My operation is not too complex, thus this software suits me just fine.
Aspetti negativi:
Would prefer to be able to build my own table definitions for type of maintenance issue, but the canned descriptions are enough to get by. Would prefer a little more robust report writer to link indexes of both open and complete task within a date range, but I get by with running two reports and joining them in Excel.
Simple and effective
Aspetti positivi:
Very easy to use. Like all software it takes time to get everything set up, adding all of your machines, parts, pm schedueles, etc but it is pretty straight forward and logical.
Aspetti negativi:
The android app is new and Great. The button spacing can be a little off sometimes which doesn't affect anything other than visual appeal
Good CMMS for the value

What a relief!
Commenti: I am new to Facilities Management and actually only stepped into this role because the previous guy was on medical leave. After spending almost a year spinning wheels and figuring out where everything is, I decided I just HAD to computerize a work order system to keep track of things. Preventative Maintenance was being forgotten because of some other fire that had to be put out and there was no definitive list of what was being worked on and what stage it was at. I researched options and found systems that people swear by, but just weren't economically feasible for our church's budget. There were free systems available too, but what I was finding either A) didn't work out of the box, and there was no support - or B) MIGHT work, if I had a spare web-server laying around, time to learn Linux and how to program everything into the web-page, an MX record to point emails to, a domain-name to tie it all together, and a DMZ on the firewall that I could hang it off of. Then I saw a mention about a well-written solution that's not that well known: SS-CMMS. Checking out the website, I saw that it would accept email entries as well as prioritize work loads. It also has some inventory capabilities and ...AND... IT CAN HELP KEEP TRACK OF PM's!!!! Using the trial period, I set up reminders for checking mouse traps, certifying Fire Extinguishers, changing HVAC filters, even "burping" the maintenance valves on the fire suppression systems. I was expecting a kludgy, eccentric system that was going to require extensive knowledge of anacronyms and terminology I didn't know. What I got was a ready-to-use system that didn't require late-night studying and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I could use it right away to start helping me keep track of my work...even in the trial stage. But BY FAR, the best thing about this system I've found has been the tech support. Even during my trial period, I was getting answers to questions and even help with problems WITHIN AN HOUR of submitting a request for help. I can't even give a response that fast most times. I know, as things progressively get larger, I may not always get that fast of a response. But I have been wowed! Not only speedy, but the help was actually helpful! What a rarity in computer support. We bought lifetime license because of it. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
As much or as little as you want it to do for you...
Commenti: We have been scratching the surface on SS-CMMS capability, I believe we will be getting more complicated as our business grows.

We had this software in place when I started here in 2014, a couple of years later we evaluated if we should look into a more sophisticated system, after review concluded we can do everything with SS-CMMS that a more expensive system would cost and did not need to change anything. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is very responsive to any requests for functionality I have requested and great to deal with.

Like anything getting used to something new takes a little time, did not take long though as this system is very intuitive.
A convenient CMMS program with all the features you NEED without the complexities of all the others.

The program provides everything we need and more without all the fluff the others offer. We demo'ed many other systems over a course of 10 months before committing to SS-CMMS and we couldn't be more satisfied with our decision. We have been using SS-CMMS for over two years now and we continue to find areas that it's able to assist in....beyond simple machine and facility maintenance. We have now included our entire gage calibration program into the software....and now we can be certain we will never have an out of calibration situation within our organization.

Commenti: Preventative Maintenance scheduling has been the biggest plus - I have set up this program up for 3 different businesses - a rental company/business, a small landscaping company and as a demo for small water systems

All the basics
Commenti: For the low price. This software cannot be competed with by the larger expensive cmms programs. It has all the functionality I need for my department. A few changes to make searches and navigation quicker would be great, but I am satisfies with the way it is now. Thanks for providing such a value for such a low price!

The compartmented setup for locations and work orders is ideal for quickly referencing up to date information on our assets. Unlimited users makes the communication very fluid between departments and upper management.
Aspetti negativi:
The search engine could have a few changes to make one less click for every PM completed. When quick compelting 30 or more PMs in one day. Each and every cleared pm will restart you at the top of the list. On a mobile device this requires lots of scrolling and makes for a tedious clean up if the list lapses for a day or two. A mobile app would be extremely handy and hopefully better oriented towards Android devices.

Low cost Software that will get the job done
Commenti: with some creativity on how we wanted to use this software, we have learned to love it. We use it for a complete history of everything that has happened to all of our equipment.

not as fancy as other software programs that have much more features to it. cant create barcodes labels in this software, and the report is bland.

SS-CMMS Review
Commenti: Customer support has been very helpful in making the changes we wanted so we could tailor the system to suit our business. We use it everyday.

Does what it says it can do without a lot of training. I like the dashboard. Customer support has been responsive and helpful.

It has clumsy navigation and the the views seem jumbled together. It would be nice to be able to custom arrange the view.
Good, cheap inventory management

The highlight for our company is that it is very easy to get the equipment in and set up PM's and other work orders.

The report printing doesn't always fit properly and is not too useful.

I wish it would stay on the site you are using util you are done navigating the screens. Since the update a year ago you have to wait for it to go up to 100% between screens. What is that about? To time consuming to wait. Sometimes it gets stuck in the 90’s. Not everyone is in an area with high speed internet. We have all our sites in rural Virginia

Finally a facilities program that actually works
Commenti: It helped us to go fully digital on our maintenance and service request system. No more paperwork. We have the option to store completed requests for future reference and to track reoccurring issues.

The setup and daily use is very intuitive. You don't need to be an uber-geek to use this. It has a large variety of options to choose from. This makes it customizable.

The PM setup can take a while to get used to. Some of the drop down options have too many choices. It's like having too much of a good thing.
Just what we needed
Commenti: We have been using SS-CMMS for 2 years now and love the program. We needed something that would help us prioritize and track maintenance issues and more importantly be proactive. Reporting, data input, creating tasks are all easy to use. Learning curve was easy for everyone. Great program overall. Great value!

Managing Maintenance has never been easier or more affordable
Commenti: As a Director of Engineering for a full service Marriott property my goal was to take our existing paper based Maintenance recording system to a digital format. My budget was Zero for such a system so I spent a considerable amount of time looking at several options. I found SS-CMMS, used the full featured free trial and fell in love with the simplistic approach, easy set up, and no nonsense experience of its use. I purchased the annual subscription myself to show how valuable a system such as this can be in terms of operation efficiency, and record keeping to my Hotel management. After review of the successes SS-CMMS has brought to our Hotel I have been reimbursed, and a budget line has been created to continue its operation. I highly recommend SS-CMMS to anyone looking for a simple yet effective means of managing your maintenance operation.
