Great experience in EDC implementation with Viedoc

Aspetti positivi:

During the implementation of the EDC module, the Viedoc team displayed a high degree of competence, flexibility and responsiveness. We received smart advices from the programing team. The Project Manager is very custom orientated and addressed our requests and questions instantly. A great team which delivers timely and with high quality.

Aspetti positivi:

We have used many EDC systems and we have almost exclusively come to using Viedoc for all our clinical projects both pre market IDEs and post Market studies. The value for the cost and the modern interface were game changers for us and our clinical sites. In addition, I can't say enough about the support from the Viedoc team and the flexibility with pricing and study start up. We work with a lot of smaller clients and their studies are always getting delay or moved due to FDA/Regulatory issues/surprises and not having to be locked into paying at a set time is a huge deal. We recently had a surprise issue come up with an FDA IDE study and the company's roll out of a pilot study got pushed 6 months. The database was built set up and ready to use. However, due to this issue the company couldn't start the study until some other data was gathered. No problem with Viedoc, their team doesn't start billing until the 1st patient is in. Previously that client had used another well known company (that I would love to name) and their billing and ethical practices are so poor that this delay would have cost them real $$. However, they were delighted with Viedoc and their flexibility. In addition, we build the database ourselves and it is easy to build with modern tools and super flexible to customize. And it seems like every time we implement a new DB build, there are a ton of new features. No system is perfect but so far this exceeds our expectations and our clients too!

Aspetti negativi:

We don't use their CTM system. I think they have done a lot of work on that piece but we have our own in house and it works for our process better. I wish there was a way to customize theirs a bit more. Just a minor comment.

Viedoc, the EDC of choice

Commenti: The EDC database and associated tools are easy to learn, design and use. Viedoc as a company are easy to work with in provision of quotes, contracts, system access and support.

Aspetti positivi:

Training database available to train my team as well as to initiate database development without cost to our clients. The training videos are excellent for introducing potential clients to Viedoc as well as supporting novice users. The EDC system presentation and workflow is user intuitive.

Aspetti negativi:

Reference data set up is tedious and repetitive.

MD-Clinicals review

Aspetti positivi:

The drag and drop tool, it's handy and fun to use.

Aspetti negativi:

The Design versionning tool. It requires a lot of time if we have to update the EDC with serveral design versions when data are already recorded. There is no alert/notification when a query is answered or closed by sites or another user different from the one who open the query. Sites can unlocked pages which are already monitored and locked, and modify the data without any notifications such is not normal. Not possible to custom visibility condition on common event (if forinstance the instance constate is not signed). Visibility condition is possible between pages in the same visit but not between page from different visits.

Best Value for an EDC!

Aspetti positivi:

The software is incredibly easy to use from both the designer and clinician perspectives. This makes it efficient to build, deploy, and train new sites for any study. For small medical device companies, efficiency is key.

Aspetti negativi:

There may be some advanced features that are available with larger/more expensive EDC systems. However, Viedoc has done a great job incorporating feedback for improvement. One feature that would be nice to add is expanding the customized reporting tools. Currently, any report is possible with some R coding, but it would be great to bring that into the low-code nature of the rest of the platform.

Futuristic EDC

Commenti: After 20 trials and counting, ViedocV4 has proven itself as one of the easiest and most reliable EDC systems on the market. In addition to this, the training of site staff including PI's are fast, effective and effortless, as Viedoc is the most uncomplicated EDC platform ever experienced by Novotech and sites alike. Site staff as the number one client in terms of end user, find Viedoc very ease of use and navigate. This should be one of key factors and selling points when it comes to EDC platforms. Viedoc ticks all the boxes for Novotech and site staff. From a design perspective, we managed to save time by using libraries and the overall ease of designing complicated forms makes Viedoc a leader in EDC. Edit check programming is very powerful and advanced checks is also possible with ease and basic programming skills. The close relationship with the senior management at Viedoc as well as their developers, is unheard of in the EDC service industry. The team is approachable, very professional and responds very quickly with any type of question. I have always enjoyed working with Viedoc and look forward to do so in the future.

Flexible software and the Best supports

Commenti: Viedoc has shown that EDC could be built so quickly when we have the limited time to Go-Live. With the flexibility in EDC design, the developer can build the forms whereas the programmer can set up the edit checks in parallel. The design and setup can also be viewed during developing. Viedoc are continually improving all the time to make the EDC designer’s, with minimum knowledge of programming, life easy and the system is also increasing more functionalities to cover the clinical research activities. The cross-functionality team are also able to work together in one system, in Viedoc Clinic, and the sponsor can see the study status with a glance. Furthermore, customer and technical supports are always quick and helpful.

EDC designer is easy to use and flexible for the designer and programmer can work at the same time.

Aspetti negativi:

It would cover the process if the Logistics could connect with the warehouse and trigger to the warehouse to ship the IP automatically.

Very functional. Streamlined design and setup. Tremendous support from start to finish.

Aspetti positivi:

Overall ease of design, implementation and usability through all elements of a study. The design, UAT and start up processes allow us to get to study start faster and with less cost than other systems. The system's intuitive and attractive interface makes it easy for users to come up to speed in a short amount of time. On the backend, the available data management tools are helpful during the study and quite sound for managing final study data.

Aspetti negativi:

The need to jump in and out of the AE, Conmed and Med History pages to find sequence numbers for related items is inconvenient. Also, the lack of autopopulation for Conmeds from the WHO Drug dictionary is also inconvenient, although I understand that may not be an issue in PCG's control.

As a designer

Aspetti positivi:

Easy of use, both for Designers and Administrators. Very easy for users to navigate

Aspetti negativi:

I'm missing "Back to Top" button if you are very far down on a form as a designer.I also would like the box with the items to follow me as i scroll down on the form, now if i want to add an item far down on a form, i have to scroll all the way up, and hold lef t mouse and drag it all the way down.

Feasible EDC for Phase I and IV trials

Aspetti positivi:

Ease of building studies in Viedoc EDC, with multiple inbuilt functionalities. Cost of conducting a trial is less than competition

Aspetti negativi:

More stability needed for Phase II-III trials.

User-friendly with great data collection and reporting functions

Aspetti positivi:

After using several market-leading EDC systems in my work as a clinical project manager, I prefer working with Viedoc. Viedoc is an extremely user friendly system with intuitive functions for data collection, monitoring and reporting. The design is excellent and the safety reporting and data export functions are far better than in other systems. Viedoc is highly appreciated among site staff, monitors, data managers and project managers.

An integrated CTMS would be great to have.

Commenti: As Clinical Data Manager I would gladly prepare and conduct further Clinical Trials in Viedoc.

Aspetti positivi:

- Comprehensive online and video tutorials for system users. - Excellent customer support (incl. query response time) regarding any system/study-related questions. The team is always ready to advise and share their expertise. - Customer feedback is welcome and is regularly reflected in further system releases.

Aspetti negativi:

- Loading large EDC Forms can take too much time. - Online Study Statistics is only editable before the EDC goes live and needs advanced operation manual. - Form Signing feature does not fully conform to German regulative documents and could be improved.

Great EDC System!

Aspetti positivi:

Easy to use (for both Designer and Site roles), intuitive.

Aspetti negativi:

Validations system need to much knowledge in JavaScript. Subject becomes read-only when someone is working on it, it could be only the form that is read-only.

Viedoc provides an intuitive user interface and has the functionality required of an eCRF.

Aspetti positivi:

We have been working with Viedoc for more than three years and are using the system for more than 40 studies. The support and service provided during these years by PCG Solutions has been very good and we look forward to more studies going live in Viedoc.

Aspetti negativi:

The absence of the functionality of printing Serious Adverse Event and monitoring report forms forms.

User friendly EDC - Viedoc

Aspetti positivi:

Easy navigation, User friendly. Easy to learn.Designing of CRF and its preview is very useful. Types of field control types, designing of schedule makes it best. Code debug available in edit checks development.elearnings available for all activities and are understandable.

Aspetti negativi:

Need more features for custom reports. Repeating fields can be included.

Developing in Viedoc

Commenti: As a developer, creating new forms / schedule is intresting.Also, Import options helps reduces the time consumption in handling reuse studies.

Aspetti positivi:

1. User Interface2. Programming edit checks was easy with Java Script help enabled3. Rearranging forms, fields4. ODM Import /Export helped a lot in Re-Use

Aspetti negativi:

1. There is no pop-up or information message when a field, form or the schedule in use is being modified.It would be great if that feature is upgraded in Viedoc that will prevent modification of data fields in Use.2. To push the design to site we need to log in admin even for the sites accessible - can try enhancing this with possible workarounds

Viedoc, EDC keeping pace with modern, evolving clinical data capture requirements

Commenti: Data drives the decision making of modern clinical design and study implementation. To achieve the effectiveness and efficiency created by adaptive and other modern designs, data capture systems must be flexible, simple to navigate and intuitive. Viedoc is the best system I have used to achieve this for both the eCRF builder and the end user. Without saying, it incorporated all the data coding conventions required and enabled me to consolidate and integrate data from multiple studies/sources. Glad to see an EDC company in the clinical research space use contemporary data management ideas to match requirements of modern clinical data capture.

Viedoc EDC provides a platform for proper design and orientation of data...It impacts the way data is presented and is very user-friendly. It has Randomization, Data Mapping etc. like features within the EDC that makes it perfect for all the studies that has different types of scopes to cover.

Aspetti negativi:

The time for which it takes to load the data.eg: when publishing big studies with more than 2000 checks.

Commenti: Overall Viedoc is simple and easy from designers point of view.

Customer satisfaction note

Commenti: We discovered that setup times are substantially reduced and functionality of edit checks (in simple settings) works nearly flawless. In consequence the acceptance of the first live study regarding usability, provides an optimistic projection regarding the need for bug fixes. PCG has delivered substantial input to achieve this success.
