Having a hard time finding some of the features I typically use and sometimes have to default back to classic but after a little more training I should have the hang of it.

Commenti: My overall experience with the Salesforce Platform has been highly positive, marked by its extensive capabilities and flexibility. The initial learning curve was steep, but resources like Trailhead and the supportive Trailblazer Community made the journey smoother. Salesforce’s customizability stands out, allowing tailored solutions with custom objects, fields, and page layouts. Development tools like Apex and Lightning Components, along with robust automation features such as Process Builder and Flow, significantly enhance productivity by streamlining business processes. Integration capabilities are strong, though complex integrations can require substantial effort. The user interface, particularly with Lightning Experience, is modern and user-friendly, and the mobile app adds valuable flexibility. However, occasional UI inconsistencies between Classic and Lightning can be confusing. Performance is generally reliable, with minimal downtime, although peak times can sometimes cause slowdowns. Salesforce’s security measures, including data encryption and user permissions, provide confidence in data safety. While Salesforce can be costly, especially for smaller businesses, the platform's extensive features and scalability justify the investment by delivering a strong return through improved efficiency and data-driven insights. Although Salesforce is highly customizable, certain limitations within its framework can make it difficult to implement very specific or unique requirements without resorting to workarounds or third-party solutions.

Saslesforce for small business???
Commenti: Overall, our experience has been good. All levels of our company find the software useful, and believe it can more than meet any of our needs. It will require atleast one person who is not afraid to tinker, and having a go to partner to handle any advanced needs on an hourly basis is a must. As with all systems it takes time and effort, but we feel good about our purchase and havent considered moving to anything else since.

Salesforce is the most custimizable CRM I have encountered thus far. It is built on "objects" that can be cusomized almost anyway you wish. These come "out of the box", can be professionally built (for a fee), or you can build items yourself. I was unsure if this CRM would fit a small company like ours (<10M in sales), but the basic licenses meet our needs both for operations and sales. The plus for us is knowing this platform can grow with us over time.
Aspetti negativi:
Salesforce is not intuitive....at all. We had great frustration in our rollout as we felt we could manage any user challenges we encountered, but this was not the case in the beginning. While the company can grow with you, their is also no limit to what they can charge haha. You must choose your deployments carefully and consider the cost benefit analysis.
Powerful Once You Learn How to Use It (But Expensive)

Salesforce is the backbone of our company. It is tied into everything and used by every team. It is incredibly customizable and it seems they have a way to do almost anything you need. We use it for Sales, Support, Marketing, and product feature usage. We have it hooked into other apps and other saas products. This is the product that will scale with your business and can support a company at any stage of growth. There are a ton of integrations out of the box (on their salesforce exchange) and their APIs allow savvy developers to build custom integrations that aren't available.

When the company initially implemented it, they tried to "wing it" and it was a complete mess. You really need someone who knows what they are doing to setup, administer, and maintain the software. It is also expensive. We got grandfathered into some great pricing, but if we weren't, we're not sure we would be able to continue to use SFDC as we grow. SFDC also loves to gobble up other apps and brand them with the SFDC name. So they have become a jack of all trades - however, some of the things you can't do are surprising (just go check out their community page for all of the list of enhancements that haven't been implemented). For example, we use cases for our help desk, but there is a lot of functionality missing compared to a best in breed help desk software like ZenDesk. Support is terrible here by the way. They really push you toward self-service or community based service. You're lucky if you ever get a response.

Backend set up an sometimes be somewhat clunky to use. There are some reporting limitations, nothing that is a deal breaker however.

Perfect for Opportunity, Project, & Contact Tracking Across Departments
Commenti: Salesforce Platform changed how we see and work between the Sales and Production teams. We are now on the same page in all aspects of projects.
Aspetti positivi:
The key aspect of Salesforce that I like most is that it makes it easy for various departments to know and track the status of opportunities and projects through various stages of development. We can also keep track of every contact both on the client side and production side. We can monitor all of the projects they are connected to, rates, and ratings.
Aspetti negativi:
The only negative aspect of the platform is the cost. It can be restrictive for smaller projects and when I need to add more users/managers. I need to double check if budgets can handle more ongoing costs with the addition of new clients and projects.
A big Toolbox that can reach your goals
Commenti: I will say that my first contact was a little bit complicated, you need to really take your time to understand how to use it and to understand what you can do with it, with time you will see the power of the platform and that it can be usefull for a lot of people in your company.

I really like the App Exchange of Salesforce, there is a lot of applications that can help to go faster to deploy your Salesforce.

It's a toolbox so there is a lot of things that's you need to develop by yourself or with the help of a partner

it is not a self catered platform, it very complex to manage it and you should hire a Salesforce admin for it, unlike our previous system where it was very simple

Complete platform but not easy to navigate

Screens are very convoluted with lots of information that might not be useful. Navigation can also be very confusing for first time users
The absolute best - and you pay for it
Commenti: We were able to utilize SF to manage our CRM, setup drip funnel campaigns, ebb and flow of lead from start to close (and track every person that touched the lead for evaluation purposes).

Completely customizable to the company/business needs. Incredibly powerful tech to automate nearly every marketing channel in a large scale business. Once its built out, you'll never need another marketing tech product.
Aspetti negativi:
Very robust and is priced as such. Not a great solution for small-to-medium sized businesses.
Salesforce Review by a Sys Admin and Developer
Commenti: I enjoy working on the platform because you can really make it do what you want it to do with the right plug-in apps or with a decent developer on staff who can add customizations with the back-end functionality to go along with them. Salesforce is continually evolving, and new releases come out three times per year with new and improved features. Salesforce can be used for nearly any business model or business workflow. Just remember that when all is said and done, it is not a cheap solution for getting rid of that old, relational database legacy CRM system. You will ultimately end up paying for more than just licensing fees for your Salesforce users.

The best thing about the force.com platform is that it's flexible. It comes with a set of standard objects such as Accounts, Contacts, Cases, Contracts, Orders, and many others. It is very easy to add new objects that can be tailored for your business use case. Originally designed mainly as a Sales tool, Salesforce now has a Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Analytics, and other modules that can be added on easily to provide a full enterprise infrastructure. Adding automation to user tasks via workflow rules and process builder can be done without coding. Adding triggers via Apex Code is also fairly easy for developers, since Apex is an easy language to learn.
Aspetti negativi:
Out of the box, Salesforce is not a very efficient tool. To prevent users from having to manually enter every piece of data to sync up objects, customization of some sort is really required. Some types of data syncing or data entry can be done with declarative tools such as workflow rules or process builder. Other things that require more complicated logic do require trigger code written by someone who understands development. The platform comes with built-in limitations on file storage, data storage, number of fields you can have on an object, number of lines of custom code you can add to the platform, and quite a few others. Platform limits of certain types can be increased, but you will definitely pay for the privilege. If you want more automated or customized functionality and don't have a developer on staff, you will have to relay on plug-in products from the Salesforce App Exchange to provide the functionality you are looking for. While some of these products are free, many of them aren't and have licensing fees per user. The cost of paying for Salesforce licenses along with licenses for one or more plug-in apps can get quite spendy.
Using Salesforce as an NGO worker on a daily basis.

It works well, is structured, has a lot of functions, good system of protection and control of the process, big date base where you can keep all your project related documents. Thank you for developing this tool and for continuing to work on improving it.
Aspetti negativi:
Maybe a better system of notification (or maybe I do not use it well), a way to visualize your history in the platform per total (not by having to enter in a concrete project or document etc, but what you did in the platform during a day etc. Better syncronization between different levels, for example: when we have a big PROGRAM, that includes in itself for eg 5-10 smaller projects, to be able to connect the MEAL part between them, activity reports, budget etc. It exists now (partically, but for eg for budget it puts all information together and it is not clear which line is from which project, especially when we have the same name of the budget line everywhere.
The go-to CRM of choice
Commenti: My experience with Salesforce across the last 4 years has been pretty positive. I love the fact that each of the elements within the platform are connected to each other, and hence extendability and modularity of the platform is possible. I absolutely feel that the privacy features and user roles for Salesforce is a pretty good implementation.

I love the extendability of Salesforce with their modules. It is high on security, it is high on privacy, and there is a module available for pretty much anything that you can think about. Right from basic CRM to collaboration tools to development interfaces to deployment management to publishing is well
Aspetti negativi:
I think the UI for Salesforce requires a much needed revamp. There has been a good effort with the "Lightning" interface for Salesforce, however given the nature of the platform it becomes tedious for users to keep entering information at every step of the time, and their work flow management is not as straight forward to set up. However once it is set up they are they work exactly as decide

What I really like about Salesforce Platform is that it is very easy to customize. you can personalize it to suit your needs, add more modules, and customize the software to fit the business's needs. For example, our sales team can send out personalized emails to customers, which are more effective.

what I don't like about Salesforce is the lack of adoption and the synchronization problem with the system
Lightning never strikes twice
Commenti: The Lightning platform works for sales organizations that have a large number of employees, only because companies can afford to have missed opportunities strictly because of the excess number of sales reps. Transparency is limited, with many features locked or non-existent.
Aspetti positivi:
While I was used to the traditional salesforce platform, and quite partial to it- Lightning was useful for being able to bring new leads/opportunities into your sales pipeline and a fast speed, without having to create and dig through reports, but the results were hit or miss. The platform is much more simple, and perfect for a large corporation who would perhaps need to limit access to certain reports and files.

Using artificial intelligence to find the best opportunities to pursue may sound like a good idea, The results were hit or miss, with miss being the more likely of the two. This leaves little to no room to be strategic in finding the best leads to pursue at the right time. Certain common features seemed to be available but did not produce content- such as the “follow” option for opportunies/accounts to see when the stage or opportunity owner or anything else had changed, since there is no news feed to view this in.
It is an objective program in the data service.
Commenti: I cannot deny that it helps to improve the creation of new tools in the programming field in my department, but as I mentioned before, the setup requires a long time to generate and this delays programming and software development a lot.

The data that the application returns is unilaterally beneficial for the design and reform of new development products in the company.
Aspetti negativi:
It is very difficult to implement it, you really have to measure and structure in advance all the processes and advantages that Salesforce has. It is a platform that can include CRM management but also data analysis and organization of these, as well as measurement of applications in their vital state, but it takes many weeks to assemble the installation.
Data at your fingertips
Commenti: I've used SF for over 10 years at multiple companies. I have found it to be a valuable tool when properly configured and a great way to keep customer data at everyone's fingertips across the organization.

SF gives the ability to keep all of your data at your fingertips to track and manage the customer lifecycle easily.
Aspetti negativi:
SF is complicated to configure - it could be easier and more user friendly to quickly and easily configure features and establish an easy to use account page with a depth of features for sales and account management.
Excellent Platform, Robust, but Complex
Commenti: There's a saying that "nobody ever got fired for picking Salesforce" for a reason. It's an excellent, safe choice.
Aspetti positivi:
Salesforce is the most robust CRM in the market, a point that isn't debatable in my view. For an enterprise organization with complex needs, Salesforce is hard to beat. The sheer number of native integrations is a huge advantage over any other solution. The reporting you get with Salesforce is remarkable.
Aspetti negativi:
It's so robust, it can be overwhelming for those without Salesforce expertise, or a dedicated CRM manager in-house. The permissions are flat out hard. This is more of a con for a small business than a mid-sized to enterprise business with more internal resources. Expect to pay huge hourly rates for a consultant if you don't hire in-house.
Salesforce is Excellent for us however small businesses may struggle

Salesforce is one of the best known cloud based CRM that can be tailor-made to hasten sales, computerize the jobs and tasks, fetch real-time customer data, extract insights , manage leads and prospects, tracking commissions, estimate sales and enhance business efficiency by creating robust workflows.
Aspetti negativi:
It is quite expensive. We have a large sales team, diversified product and prospect base and had a fairly complex need so we spent out the money but it can be extremely unaffordable for small business and start ups. Moreover the customer care at Salesforce needs to be a little more polite and knowledgeable rather than rude and uninformed.
Can’t do my job without it!
Commenti: It’s a great experience to use Salesforce. It allows our teams to better understand the customer health so leadership can see if accounts are at risk and need more attention or a reassessment on goals and initiatives.
Aspetti positivi:
I love how much you can do with salesforce. It’s our main hub for account notes, account health, support cases, renewal opportunities and more. I love how easy it is to navigate! I use it daily to update my meeting notes so I have everything in one place. It also makes it easier to transition accounts along to other members in the Customer Success and Sales departments.
Aspetti negativi:
It can be a lot to learn because there is so much that goes into the platform, but long term it’s worth it.
S*** Show - Run far and run fast if your company is looking to use Salesforce
Commenti: No support. More bugs then features. The system works decent for quoting but getting information or support is a laughable concept.
Aspetti positivi:
It seems well done. Everything looks professionally made but this software is user-enemy number 1. No support. The worst part is they have links that say "help or support?" that are dead links. It's so bad it's almost feels like it should be a joke.
Aspetti negativi:
Careful sending mass emails. It will create a task for every email sent that CAN NOT be mass deleted. So if you send out 300 emails you will flood your task section with 300 tasks that need to be individually deleted. This is system is a nightmare. This app is taking 1 step forward and 4 steps back. I feel really bad for the developers who had to put their name on this app.
Make your own trasformer
Commenti: If you can add anything you need, you will have the greatest transformer of all times!
Aspetti positivi:
the thing that i like the most is that you can edit almost ANYTHING! You can adjust the plataform for your particular needs. You can track your customer the entire jorney and create different status. It's a great sales plataform (duh! salesforce)
Aspetti negativi:
If you don't know a thing about code or interface or anything related with technology, it's going to be very hard for you at the moment of customize your Salesforce. You will need the help of Salesforce to create all the things you will nedd for your business. If you don't customize, you will not be able to make the most of it. It is not very helpful with marketing, so... you will have to make a pulgin with another plataform (for example mailchimp)
Amazing features but too difficult and complicated to set up

Salesforce requires investment
Commenti: I’m a big fan of Salesforce and have used it for about 6 years in a variety of roles. If you are willing to make the investments in customization it can be a business expansion tool.

Salesforce is enormously powerful and flexible, able to adapt to most any businesses type or stage.
Aspetti negativi:
You must have a Salesforce Certified developer to get the most out of the platform - that means code development, testing and documentation. This skill set comes at a price and up for enterprise level development resources. We built a customized version of Opportunities with a developer. Leadership was not well equipped to understand this approach (versus a subscription app).
