Great professional tool, harder for beginners or students
Alternative considerate:

Thank you for your long-time usage of Pro/E & Creo Parametric!
Utilizzato Creo nelle prime 3 versioni e ne ero molto soddisfatto
Creo e testo prodotti reali attraverso Creo
Creo or AutoCAD which one to choose
Aspetti positivi:
Creo is comparatively cheaper than autocad, it brings overall the same features as autocad has. A lot of features are available to fine tune your model.
Aspetti negativi:
As it is not that widely used so investing time in it rather than in AutoCAD might not be that beneficial in terms of job prospects.
Product design
Commenti:
I love the Creo Tools, one of the best used in the market, has all the functionality and features for creating complex models and parametric parts that are needed in the engineering world, integrates with other downstream tools that I needed for simulation and NC coding.
Single tool that helps designing products volume Industrial and automotive sector.
Aspetti positivi:
Modeling tool helps in engineering the product complexity, very strong tool for automotive companies who deals with complex parts such as powertrain and engines dad needs a lot of parts & assembly. Has advanced features for real time design feedback and helps in improving efficiency with topology optimization. The Sketcher to helps in creating the 2D drawings and industrial drawings that captures the concept level model and can be converted into an actual engineering drawings with the same software. PTC company involved in the digital twin capabilities that integrates the models that can be repurposed for the digital twin and also for the argument reality. simulation tool that are available wait in the creo helps to validate D models trends and product features at the design stage
Aspetti negativi:
Creo is expensive compared to Solidworks or Solidedge. Complex features make it less user friendly, example layer are hassle and need to leatn how to use the system files. Automation has limitation as it follows less programing /API integartions
Buggy and Unintuitive
Commenti: I have to listen to calming music so that i do not break any of my hardware while using CREO 4.0
Aspetti positivi:
There are some minor features that are convenient that other softwares should adopt - such as copy text formatting by selecting the text you want to copy the format of.
Aspetti negativi:
I've been using some form of Creo in multiple Jobs for 10+ years, and the only thing that it is able to do consistently is confuse and annoy me. Oh, you didn't know that you had to push that super secret button to get that feature to show? too bad. Sometimes i think it would be easier to create drawings by taking screenshots from creo with the snipping tool and pasting them into powerpoint. every single time it tries to assume something for you, it does it wrong. Why would I ever assemble objects by selecting surfaces that are NORMAL to each-other?!
Master of some, not useful in others
Commenti: It handles data management well with the windchill. Overall satisfactory but for the cost I expect more value in terms of features.
Aspetti positivi:
2D drawing and 3D parametric modelling is very good. Straight-forward modelling and surfacing. Also simulation is easy to use.
Aspetti negativi:
But lacks in flexibility. Need more ease of use in modelling. As a designer creo limits my imagination to create something para-metrically.
Easy, Intuitive and a great tool for 3D MCAD, ECAD design starters
Commenti: CREO is easy to use, friendly for beginners and the scalability of the software is very high and definitely worth for money. Not a great tool for advanced designers as lack of integration to platforms like Eagle elctric design, ROS robotics etc.
Aspetti positivi:
Advanced Assembly extension in CREO parametric is simple great for top down design approach, surface modelling, sheetmetal modelling, concurrent data sharing between various created components by the key integrator and great assembly configuration
Aspetti negativi:
CREO rendering is way inferior with regards to its competitions like CATIA or Solidworks. CREI render studio isn't powerful, renders aren't close and products are a lot grainy.
Best 3D Parametric in the market
Aspetti positivi:
UDF-User Defined FeatureFamily TableShrinkwrapIt's very easy to useWe have integrated TEAMCENTER no issue regarding plm.
Aspetti negativi:
We are having all mfg. Facility in-house at that point we use to create different models with help of family table.it makes our life easy.Image inserting in model,as in our machinary design we have to add causion/warning sign.We have Teamcenter/PLM integrated and works fine.
Creo 3d CAD software
Commenti: I have been using Creo for the past 17 Years and do not want to run anything else
Aspetti positivi:
have run Solidworks, AutoCad, SDRC IDEAS, and PTC Wildfire and Creo, by far Creo is the best tool I have used in my 42 year design career
Aspetti negativi:
Sometimes it does very heavy designs and has no issues and every once in a great while on something simple it will crash , but they all do that from what I have seen.
Creo View is a complicated software eventhough its capabilities are limited.
Commenti: The software, when you consider it overall, an exceptional one in terms of its capabilities. And from the Creo View sub module I get the impression that it is good to create a simple working part for each design which only targets a specific duty. So it improves my modular design experience
Aspetti positivi:
The system that Creo implement to its products is very beneficial, they create a submodule for each specific task and Creo View is one of them. This creates an opportunity to make more emphasized softwares and it provides a productive working environment.
Aspetti negativi:
The overall interface is a little bit problematic and hard to use and it leads a little bit confusion for starters.
CREO is a very powerful useful CAD software program.
Commenti: I have used CREO for many years to make many designs and drawings.
Aspetti positivi:
I like all the functionality available with the product. You have a lot of control.
Aspetti negativi:
It can be non-intuitive to use, the syntax is not always obvious.
Alternative considerate:
Creo stepped up the game
Commenti: A solid CAD/CAE tools that confirms its place among the top ones. The final choice between Creo and others is dictated by designer preferences, experience, and secondary tools.
Aspetti positivi:
With the last updates Creo looks like it is doing things properly again, great 2D, great 3D, great miscellaneous tools.
Aspetti negativi:
The learning curve is a bit steep like in all parametric softwares, but once you grasp it it is VERY powerful.
Catia - perfect for designing
Commenti: On one hand it gives endless possibilities, on the other hand it is so complex that beginner may find it difficult to use it. However definatelly it pays off when you get to know most of the functions.
Aspetti positivi:
CATIA provides a lot of possibilities for 3D designing and assemblies management using toolbar. I believe it is the best software for modelling allow to easily navigate and manage the model(s).
Aspetti negativi:
For new users it may be quite challenging to start using CATIA with all toolbars. Additionally the software is quite expensive.
great 3D mechanical design software
Commenti: I use this software to make 3d designs as a hobby because I love tools and parts designing, I sometimes use Creo to make the work faster. I love this application because it is easy to use.
Aspetti positivi:
A great design tool but not the best. I like that this software is much easier than any other designing software, if you have complicated work by using Cero you can save time. Also, the rendering is good but not the best. And it has a great user interface with easy and clear grouping.
Aspetti negativi:
They must work on the analysis, this software can do much work and it saves time because it is easier than any other software but the analysis in Creo is bad and doesn't give accurate results so you have to use another software to do it the analysis.
Creo for Design Engineers
Commenti: In general, Creo has similar functions and capabilities to Solidworks, which I used for over 6 years. Creo Parametric itself is a good package and requires Windchill -- however, Windchill PMS leaves a lot to be desired.
Aspetti positivi:
Creo has a lot of useful and quirky design features that make design engineering very fluid, once you learn the tricks. It has a good user interface and allows for translatable CAD skills
Aspetti negativi:
The learning curve for this software is very large and some functions in Creo are clunky, redundant, or missing, like mating feature difficulties and dimensioning. The tips and tricks you need for Creo are often times very difficult to pick up unless you really dig hard for resources.
CAD for people who like doing things the hard way.
Commenti: If you are looking for a stable software with built in version control this is the package for you. If you are easily frustrated by non-intuitive software you are probably better off with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
Aspetti positivi:
By far the most stable CAD application I have ever used. Over the past decade I can count the number of times it has crashed on one hand. Takes a while to understand how to make in context part references, but once you get the hang of it, it is easy to make very complex and stable CAD models. The file versioning takes some getting used to, but is basically built in safety net. Every time a file is saved it creates a new version of that file. You can roll back to previous file versions very easily.
Aspetti negativi:
The drawing environment needs some work. The bills of materials are not as versatile as other software I have used, Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks have a leg up in this area. In all my time using it I have never stumbled across features that let me make exploded views of an assembly.
PTC CREO is the best and easy to learn 3D CAD/CAM software.
Commenti: 3D modeling and Engineering design has been made easy using CREO. It saves us lot of time in the CAD lab as the students can learn this software quickly and solve engineering problems.
Aspetti positivi:
Parametric modeling allows users to change the design on the fly and eliminates the need to start from scratch. Learning is also easy and fun.
Aspetti negativi:
2D capabilities are less when compared to competition. CAM features can be improved.
CREO requieres longer for beginners
Commenti: We had to have a dedicated team jus for CREO to allow the rest to concentrate on Product support and projects only.
Aspetti positivi:
Found it to be intuitive at the beginning,
Aspetti negativi:
Creating sketches was hard to master even when training was provided, difficult to finalize complex sketches with little tools to find fixes. Somehow the Engineering IT was unable to sync with PLM softwares for some time. Extensive training was required to bring onboard new hires.
Good but not Great...
Commenti: Creo is a good software package, but it takes a back seat to Dassault and AutoCAD CAD packages within industries. It just isn't as well known and having Creo on your resume just wont go as far as the prior two mentioned because it is not industry standard...
Aspetti positivi:
Creo was the CAD package I learned first manuevering through engineering school. It has a good Mold/Tooling add-on that provides robust analysis of mold design and mold flow.
Aspetti negativi:
Creo can sometimes be too detailed for its own good. I used it less and less as I began to teach myself Solidworks (because Creo had become too convoluted when I was a novice user). There is a lot to take in starting off and it can sometimes cause a hindrance in achieving what a beginner needs to accomplish to build confidence in their CAD skills.
Lacks ease of use
Aspetti positivi:
The software is very powerful if you can figure out how to use it correctly.
Aspetti negativi:
The software is very hard to use. There is nothing intuitive about how to model using Creo. The functions are hard to find and to use. Half the time, you don't know what input the software is looking for. I personally do not care for the layers.
A CAD software with all extensions.
Commenti: I create 2 and 3 dimensional drawings, design and simulation of projects and also doing the material analysis of my projects.
Aspetti positivi:
The feature that makes me do analysis of my project is the feature that I like most in Creo.
Aspetti negativi:
I don't feel there's any feature missing or any that needs a fix for now, everything is working perfectly for me.
