We have found that with the way technology has shaped our every day lives, it was vital for us to keep up with the times and find us a texting service that connects with our land lines in our office.
We went back and forth with customer service a lot and they blamed our cell phone carrier, but our phone carrier confirmed messages were never reaching them.

Very happy with this purchase
Aspetti positivi:
I was SHOCKED by the number of people who were texting my office number. I had texts popping up the day it was activated, and I hate to think how many people thought I was ignoring them prior to having this in place. I feel like I'm much more connected to my clients now.
Aspetti negativi:
Software is glitchy. I can't get reliable notifications to my cell, and not 100% give notifications on my computer either. I need to proactively open the software daily & check for messages.
Zip Whip and Twilio

Overall Experience with Zipwhip (WE MISS YOU)
Commenti: Our overall experience with Zipwhip was great. We were with Zipwhip for several years, and were very sad when we heard they were no longer going to be in business, we looked for a companies with similarities to zipwhips for months.
Aspetti positivi:
ZipWhip was very easy to use, setup was very easy as well. It was very easy to train new employee on how to use the software. Very cost effective. It was very difficult to find a similar software with everything Zipwhip offered at the same price or even close to the same price. We miss Zipwhip very much.
Aspetti negativi:
I would say what we least liked about Zipwhip it was they didn't particularly didn't have focus on insurance agencies.

Commenti: Over all a good experience with Zipwhip. Would have continued to use if it wasn't for the new 10 DLC policy. Which was not implemented by the company.

When we first started using Zipwhip it was wonderful. Very user friendly and reliable.

The largest problem we had was when the 10 DLC was required. It was nearly impossible to get support to help with this issue.

What separated Zipwhip from most of their competitors is that you did not need a new SMS number. Instead, you could make your main landline text enabled. The service worked well and was not expensive.

For some reason Twilio decided to buy Zipwhip and shut it down. Zipwhip is going away as a service at the end of the year. I have switched to one of their competitors but the interface is terrible.
I wish ZipWhip was here to stay

Easy option for SMS communication
Commenti: We use Zipwhip as our primary tool for SMS communication with our customers.

I'm a fan of Zipwhip. It's the cheapest SMS automation service out there, but they don't skimp on the functionality. We use it to automate messages to customers and to provide SMS "chat" service. It's simple, straight forward, and so user friendly that we've not had to train anyone on its use yet. Been using it for years at this point and have no desire to look elsewhere.

I do wish that messages could be sent to larger numbers of people. I get why this functionality is limited- spam and all- but I've got a large number of legitimate contacts to make and it would save a lot of time to not have to batch them.

Great way for businesses to keep in touch with clients

Templates that autofill information from the contact (Name, Company, etc.). Also the scheduling feature is very handy.
Aspetti negativi:
It would be nice if there were an option that allowed responses to group texts go to everyone on the text. I can see why the default is that it doesn't, but sometimes we need to text multiple members of a family and it's problematic when responses don't go to everyone. Also, it would be nice if the scheduling feature included an option for recurring messages, it would save us a lot of time from scheduling the same messages week after week.
Great Product - Horrendous Customer Support
Commenti: Salespeople are very pushy and though I like the product the inability to cancel your account make it something I can't recommend to others and why I am writing this review.

I wanted to try the software and after talking with the company they try and force you into a year contract. This should have been my first sign. After talking them into a month-to-month contract I talked with our phone provider who said they provide the same service for free. I am now going through the process of trying to cancel with Zipwhip and their customer support is horrible. I should have never signed up with them and would recommend to others really hesitating signing up with them unless a. you want to be with them for more than a year and b. never want to cancel after trying out the service because they make it almost impossible. Right now I am paying them and not even using the product.

ZipWhip is easy to use and provides and affordable solution for two way texting with our listeners. Listeners are able to text to our 800 number, the number that they are familiar with and use for calling. Having texting is especially important for our station that is geared to the younger listener. They are much more likely to engage through texting.
Aspetti negativi:
Can't think of anything that we don't like. The recent upgrade to the software has made group texting easier which is a plus too.

ZipWhip Makes it Super Easy for customers to Communicate
Commenti: Can't complain! Easy way to communicate - it's web based and there's also an app.

This is literally just a texting app. It's very cool! It's 2020...using a landline is dead. This makes it super easy to turn our landline phone number into a texting phone number. Clients and listeners use it all day long to communicate with us. Whether it be to request a song, join a contest, or just to talk. It's a lot easier than manning 40,000 phone calls a day! You can also add automatic message backs - for example, if you're closed that day, if the text line is brought to you by a specific company, etc.

The only thing that is a little annoying is the fact that if you block someone - it does not alert them. They keep texting in as if we're just ignoring them, when in fact they lost their priviledge of getting through the text line.
