Informazioni su IT Glue
IT Glue è una piattaforma di documentazione pluripremiata, che aiuta i fornitori IT a ridurre drasticamente il tempo sprecato alla ricerca di informazioni.
This integrates with so many of our programs and automates much of the documentation from them versus having to enter it manually like before.
They just added the one thing i always complained about.

ITGlue has transformed our ability to accurately document our clients' IT infrastructure.
The ability to tag different items and configurations within ITGlue allows us to document all of the impacted components in an IT system. For example, we can document the virtualization environment for a client by tagging the physical hypervisors, the virtualization license, the VMs that are hosted on the hypervisors, the credentials used to access the hypervisors and the virtualization environment, etc. This has greatly reduced the time needed to support our clients. I also like the integrations with ConnectWise and Kaseya.
There isn't much that I can say about ITGlue that is negative. I would like the ability to export a runbook for a client into PDF. I know they are working on this feature but it isn't available yet.
One stop shop for your Knowledge Base needs.
Commenti: Since implementation, our staff has become more organized with our password management, knowledge base / document creation, and vendor management. We constantly see techs answer questions to other staff members regarding customer and vendor info with "It's in IT Glue." So long as everyone is onboard with putting the info in the platform, it saves time of having to reach out to specific resources for a peice of information.
My favorite function of IT Glue is the fact that we're able to store many forms of information on the platform, along with consume information from various sources, in-turn saving time in gathering relevant information on our clients and infrastructure.
The organization can be a little much, but I think it's just due to the sheer number of things you can do with the platform. We discover new things with IT Glue frequently, and it sometimes requires a single resource to manage how the platform should be used in the organization, or at least lay down some groundwork and rules for staff to follow so data can be populated effectively.
4+ years of use
Commenti: We've got a centralised CMDB now so that's the positive. Ensuring it's up to date is difficult (Cultural issues) and you can end up unearthing bad data elsewhere as part of the adoption.
Herding technical people into one repository for configuration information was the ultimate goal, away from Excel and OneNote. Got there in the end but don't under estimate the culture change needed. ITGlue provides the central store for information, pulling in info from various integrations.
There's some elements that are inflexible. It's easy to create "Flexible Asset Sprawl", especially when trying integrations, Network Detective, Datto RMM, Lionguard, Datto BCR all create their own and it can become quite unwieldy. Also, bear in mind that its "GIGO" so if you've got rubbish in your PSA, it will resurface in ITGlue.
The flagship IT Documentation software
Commenti: Glue is instrumental in our department's success. It replaced a lot of chaotic password management and has given us a lot of peace of mind to handle disaster recovery and day to day management. We are very happy with it and will likely continue using it for many years.
IT glue gives you a flexible way to manage your IT documentation. While some edge scenarios can be cumbersome, the fact is that it is the only platform we have tried (short of a fully customized Sharepoint setup) that is completely flexible to let us build the assets the way we want to without railroading us.
I feel like the pace of development has slowed significantly since the Kaseya acquisition and the focus is now on upselling other Kaseya products that we have no use for. However, new features are still coming out. I would also like to see an alternative way to handle asset management besides 'Configurations' or having to run a secondary PSA just to handle ITAM.
ITglue - a core part of our business
Commenti: My overall experience with IT Glue has been highly positive. As a user, I found the platform to be highly effective in managing and organizing documentation for my organization. The platform offers a comprehensive range of features and tools that enable users to easily create, store, and access critical information.
The platform is highly customizable and user-friendly, with a sleek and modern interface that makes navigation and data input simple and intuitive.Another standout feature of IT Glue is its integration capabilities. The platform seamlessly integrates with a wide range of tools and services, making it easy to connect with other applications that are used regularly.
One of the main concerns I had with IT Glue was its pricing structure. Although the platform offers a comprehensive range of features and tools, it can be quite expensive for smaller organizations, which may not be able to justify the cost.Another challenge I faced was with the search functionality of IT Glue. While the platform does offer a search bar, it was not always accurate, and it could be difficult to locate specific pieces of information or documentation quickly.
Commenti: It started off pretty good, but after 2 years there have no real feature improvements and I have had 8 account reps.
The integration with ConnectWise Manage was nice.
There is not a way to import passwords in to a subfolder, so if you are importing personal passwords they have to go in the root of a folder and then you have to move them. Moving them is problematic because IT Glue times out if you try to move more than 40 at once.
A great platform for all your documentation needs
IT Glue has been fundamental to improving our documentation within our IT environment, it allows us to standardise our documentation and makes it easy with integrations to provide automated documentation that our service desk can use
Sometimes can be slow to add features as I've seen previously but when features are added a lot of thought has generally been placed in them
Kaseya's IT Glue - using it since 2018
Commenti: Overall I've been very happy with IT Glue. I was concerned when Kaseya acquired it late in 2018, after I'd only had it for less than 3 months. But it was fine. One really cool feature I learned much later: when another MSP using IT Glue loses a client to us, or we to them, we use a feature called GlueConnect to have/give access to that client's data. We then create our own internal entry and keep the records we want (or all). Oh yeah, and IT Glue's integration with Autotask PSA automatically creates an organization when we create a new account in the PSA. That's handier than you'd think. No more getting in the field and realizing nobody in the team has created the org in IT Glue yet, leaving you to note passwords in your phone til later!
It's feature packed, has lots of integrations, is secure, useful mobile app I use A LOT, the MyGlue add on is great for our clients to essentially have a secure "IT binder" that both of us update and we can share step by step instructions for various processes through the documentation section. There's a lot of features we're not using and I feel I'm barely scratching the surface of what I can do.
Since signing up for the KaseyaOne interface, the mobile app, on Android anyway, is a little bit more painful to log into. It prompts to login with KaseyaOne. If I do so it will open a browser for credentials, then open the web version of IT Glue on my phone, which is clunky on my small screen, cutting off fields in the password section I use most. I have to remember to X out of that KaseyaOne prompt, then click "not now" on the sign in page, which takes me to the original sign in interface of the app where I can use fingerprint or face detection. This boils down to a couple of quick taps before using the app. It's just something I find a little annoying that can be fine tuned by the company.
Fantastic object to object documentation
The key selling point of IT Glue when we came onboard in 2018 was the fact that any object can be linked with any other object. This means that we can have a configuration for a server, with a linked password, a linked knowledge document, a linked flexible asset explaining the SLAs. The fact that all knowledge can be linked to other relevant knowledge without having to search constantly has been a revelation.
There are certain inflexible things in IT Glue - the core assets have always been this way. One example of something that is more complicated than it needs to be because of legacy code is the Documents area. There is great potential here to have something similar to Sharepoint document storage with links to live documents in Office Online. It's definitely improved since we came onboard but it's not quite there yet. You are unable to delete non-empty folders as an example.
A Must for MSPs
ITGlue is a great product for control of your documents, password, and network devices.Everything our Help Desk need in one location
Network glue the agent has been buggy for us
IT Documentation and credential management
Easily handle large amounts of customer documentation, credentials, and other IT information. Our customer accounts are automatically added by integration with our CRM, further reducing time spent on data entry. Credentials for new clients are easy to import.
There have been a couple of outages which affected our business the the past few years, but overall service is highly reliable. As with any online service you should have an offline backup kept up to date just in case.
Commenti: It is regrettable that there is so little competition in this area. Because of this the product is expensive and the service poor. If there were more options we likely would have gone with a different solution. Hopefully there will be other players in the game by the time our agreement is up. Overall, we are disappointed in the value of this product.
The main feature of the product is document storage and it does this well. For storing configurations about your client's technology, expiries and passwords, I do give it high marks. The permissions are very granular so you are able to allow many users (and even clients) appropriate access. Whatever information you have for your client, there is a spot to store it. The offer a lot of integrations with RMMs, PSAs and other IT vendors.
The granular permissions come at the cost of a learning curve in understanding how the permissions work. IT Glue tries to incorporate a lot of functionality to make it a more useful and all-in-one tool, but much of the functionality is just not good. For example, you can create checklists that can be reused on different sites but it is very basic. We use Process St for checklists and couldn't imagine moving to such an inferior product for a bit of convenience. The password manager is about where other mainstream password managers were 10 years ago. We were embarrassed to offer it to our clients. The website is not aesthetically pleasing and the app has only limited functionality. I have found the customer support to be terrible.
Time is money and because this saves time...it makes us money
Commenti: At first, it was hard to see a business case for implementing this product, as we used Evernote and we were fairly well organized, but with the addition of new employees, it became clear that more was needed. Once you go through the training and understand the concept of standardization, the tool magically unlocks its powers. You find information easily, and we can categorize information in a way that makes sense for us. Because it's a tool we use constantly throughout our day, the price was a no-brainer and fully get value for the small investment. Time is money, therefore saving time is allowing us to do more, in our day.
Access to credentials is easy and painless. The RunBook export was really amazing and well laid out. It made us look very professional.
The Mobile App is not very user friendly. It also does not show all information of the full product, but good when in a jam.
IT Glue Review as System Admin
IT Glue is the best in the market, when it comes to document management, password management or if you just want to keep the asset record, there are many features available such as integration with the Microsoft 365 and Active Directory etc...
The syncing process across the platform takes a bit of time.
Well worth the investment
Commenti: It allows us to be a more effective MSP by allowing everyone from our techs to our engineers to update documention while also having a revision history as well.
It allows us to tie documents and configurations and services from multiple sources into a single pane of glass to search all our client base
There are some hassles with once you make or change a field and then someone uses it you cant change or edit it later because that field now in use and no easy way of finding the offending records.
IT Glue Wonderful!
Commenti: Very happy with ITG features.
We use IT Glue to aggregate our client information into one locations. Assets, Password Vaults, Network Diagrams, et.
Entering a login password multiple times a day. Should have M365 user passthrough authorization.
IT Glue is a necessity
Commenti: It is a great utility and a must in the data generated world we are in and I seems to be very secure and it's continually updated with new features and changes are added based on the ever changing technology
The features and categories that are available to store/find are abundant. Makes it easy to locate the information you need from top to bottom.
It is a bit difficult to navigate between multiple companies and the layout/location of buttons are not consistent
Solid Documentation Platform, Always Delivers
Commenti: Overall it's an extremely solid platform to work in. Support has been great when needed. Once it has been set up, its very easy to navigate and work in.
I like the integrations with different PSA tools and the ability to build SOPs within the application itself.
The price is a little spendy, but it's worth it for what it provides. There is a slight learning curve when setting up new customers and getting the integrations to work.
Amazing and easy to use
Commenti: We store all our crucial information using this software/site. It is beneficial and really easy to use. You can teach someone in minutes how to setup documents and the site even helps you.very impressed.
I love this software. The sute is well managed and the customization options are fantastic. You can store a lot of information, securely,on this site
They just added the one thing i always complained about. The favorites and recent companies option. Thank you for listening to the customers.
IT Glue works great for us
Simple and easy to learn and use.Integrations of all our major line of business products
Development of new features has been slow under Kaseya but this seems to be picking up again now.
Love This Software
Commenti: Great company to work with and they have an awesome product!
This is by far the best documentation software I have ever used. Prior to it we were using the KB function in Autotask PSA and it was so antiquated. This integrates with so many of our programs and automates much of the documentation from them versus having to enter it manually like before. The interface is supe intuitive and the search capabilities are stellar.
The only real con I have is sometimes the integrations take a lot of effort to get working. Sometimes they provide redundant data with that from other integrations.
Commenti: A Plus experience
Integration with the different vendors. And the making the product as simple as it's can
Some times it's freezing in terms of search function
My techs no longer have to hunt for information and then worry it is outdated
IT Glue's documentation platform is second to none for us. It has made it easy to put in the procedure guides our techs need every day, and it has made it easy to keep track of client's assets. One of the biggest things has been the integrations with our other platforms, and those have been massively helpful as it has saved us countless hours.
A little on the pricey side, but nothing that I've ever felt ripped off by. It definitely requires you to think through how you want to structure everything BEFORE you start putting it in (learned that the hard way).
I love IT Glue
When it comes to maintaining the most important information for your clients, IT Glue is perfect. You can create configurations for passwords, knowledge base articles, documents, system information, and Automate is an essential tool in MSP. Its easy to use and the user interface is great. Its my favorite MSP tool.
Certain permissions are limited for basic users. Deleting knowledge base articles require certain permissions, so make sure to have to a clear understanding of how to manage IT Glue.
IT Glue Review - SJA
Commenti: We have increased efficiencies with IT Glue, documenting critical processes, etc.
The synchronization between ConnectWise Manage, Automate, etc. allow us to manage tools efficiently and effectively. The ability to link assets together for visibility and access.
Some features are not utilized, due to current software stack.
