Good access for Education Institution
Commenti: The cloud version is the one of choice for initial users and has reasonable pricing. I mostly use that one. I'd recommend the local version for mid to advanced users. The speed of the work increases a lot with the AI functions, that is something you will be using with big amounts of data.

Pricing is good for educational first users and students get free trials and discounts. That's especially useful for students and teachers abroad, who end up paying from their pockets. The software is stable and work amazingly.
Aspetti negativi:
The learning curve is complex. I recommend watching the tutorials and using the learning options more than once. It's like other specialized software. It will take a while to get the most out of it, and it can turn expensive sometimes.

An Essential Tool for Qualitative Researchers

Atlas is a user-friendly software. It allows us, qualitative researchers, to have all our research material in one place – images, video, or transcripts. It is also a handy feature to rename the documents already uploaded to Atlas.It does not do the analysis itself and gives the researcher the tools to use their skills and creative mind. This software design is essential to ensure the authenticity and novelty of data analysis and research output. It is also a significant bonus to have the Atlas tutorials readily available on the web and their support team, which is very responsive and eager to help via live chat and email.
Aspetti negativi:
Two people cannot work synchronously. One person must work, save, and send the project to the other. The cloud and simultaneous collaboration features need further improvement to increase the collaboration capacity.

Desktop version is great, but stay away from the web version
Commenti: Important product to perform literature research or qualitative analysis. Desktop version is good and helps especially with scientific work. Just do not use the web version, then you can be sure that you can work well on your project.

Files are easy to import and you also save time on literature searches because you only have to read books once and then you can easily search for statements within all books.
Aspetti negativi:
Web version works too slowly and errors occur when encoding PDF files. There are also problems when exporting projects, so that it is not even possible to continue working in the desktop version. Customer service definitely handles such cases too slowly.

Hello Adrian, thank you for sharing your feedback. I checked the communication between you and ATLAS.ti. After your first inquiry on Friday December 16th , I can see our user support team asked you to invite our technicians to your ATLAS.ti Web project the following workday on Monday, December 19th, but we didn't receive a confirmation from you until Friday, January 6th. That same day, our user support team immediately followed up with our technicians to confirm everything was received correctly, then the following workday Monday January 9th one of our senior technicians wrote you that he is working on it, and we received no further communications from you. Upon investigating (between January 9th and 12th), we saw that the huge PDF you used was "corrupt" and when it was technically translated so that it could be used in the Web version, it created errors because of the characters in your PDF. We then fixed these characters in the translated ATLAS.ti PDF and everything was resolved by Thursday, January 12th. As you can see, we were very responsive (at latest we responded the next day, but mostly during the very same day), and we fixed your problem, which occured because of the characteristics of the PDF that you uploaded, within 3 days which also is a very good time. If PDFs that have these kind of "corrupt" characters are uploaded in ATLAS.ti (or any other web-software) they create problems and this is not our fault and we do not have to solve that problem. Since we try to help every user we nevertheless have taken care of the problem and solved it. Your comments that the Web version creates errors, that the conversion to the Desktop version does not work, or that our support is too slow is just not true and millions of users have no problem with their projects in any way. Of course we know that people can get angry if they face such problems but this is not due to ATLAS.ti as described above. Our user support team is always available 24 hours a day, 5 days a week via live chat, telephone, and email. Please always feel free to reach out to them if you ever have more questions or comments. In the past year, our user support team has received 95% positive ratings from ATLAS.ti Web users, which suggests that ATLAS.ti Web has been successfully facilitating qualitative research and users have been largely satisfied with the support they've received from us. A straightforward workbench

Atlas.ti does exactly as the title says - it is a very straightforward workbench, providing a handful of tools to enhance qualitative analysis, enabling a systematic and methodologically robust way to work.

Data visualisation should also be exportable (which still needs to be 100% available, at least in the MacOS version). Although I appreciate the AI features are still in the beta phase, the limits of their functionalities should be more explicit so that the users would have realistic expectations and optimise their time and use of the tools.

A useful tool for comparative qualitative analysis

Mine crashed, and i am not sure if there ia some information on how to go about that in the manual because I was just frustrated, because i could still open projects but the documents content was not showing in the main window, and i could not creat new project.

It is a very useful tool when working with large amounts of data. It provides very good assistance for the systematization of analysis and collaborative work. It also provides useful outputs to continue with quantitative analysis, and visuals for the representation of the results.
Aspetti negativi:
There is still room for improvement in user friendliness, visualization and integration of AI tools. Also in maintaining a price range more suitable for non-commercial uses, e.g. educational and social research. In terms of data, further development of audiovisual data analysis would be interesting.

Great data analysis software for PhD students
Commenti: Overall, my experience is great with this software. It just a bit expensive for a student like me. In my currency RM217 for only 6 months availability is something I can afford one time only. If expired, I don’t have the opportunity to use it anymore.

Commenti: Overall, Atlas.ti was a good product to use for qualitative research as it streamlined the process where all information/data could be found, stored, reviewed and adjusted seamlessly.

Great software for collaborative research
Commenti: A challenging part of working in a team is keeping track of and putting together everyone’s work. With ATLAS.ti, we were able to easily handle this challenge and spend more time exploring each person’s codings and producing impacting findings.
Aspetti positivi:
Each person can work on coding at the same time, and after merging projects the codings can be compared. The intercoder agreement tool provides a great visualization to easily explore any part of the coded data, and it calculates different measures of agreement.
Aspetti negativi:
My team uses the ICA tool a lot, but sometimes it does not work for me. I already received help from the technicians though, and they were fast and helpful.

First time use experience

Now that I am doing my first qualitative research I have been pleasantly surprised with the variety of tools that Atlas.ti has. Perfect for text analysis for research papers

Nice tool for qualitative data analysis

I think it is a great starter for qualitative data analysis. It is easy to organize and start with raw interview data. I also love how it is easy to visualize data with color codes.
Aspetti negativi:
I think it's a great tool to begin data coding, but I use other tools for in-depth data analysis. After grouping the raw data, I use other tools like excel or miro to find higher level insights.

A very useful product
Aspetti positivi:
Provides a very helpful system to analyse our large amounts of qualitative data. The interface is user friendly and there are plenty of tutorials and other resources to utilise in order to understand how to navigate the software. The web app is also good.
Aspetti negativi:
Some formatting issues between the original text files and how it was displayed in ATLAS itself, but we were able to overcome this with some help from the support team.

Using ATLAS.ti for qualitative data analysis in social science

Efficient multi-user management system
Commenti: I’m in charge of handling the software licenses our department uses, and one of the most important things for me is the ability to easily give software access to everyone who needs it and when they need it. I really like how easy the ATLAS.ti multi-user management is, because I can add and remove people as needed and they can install the software on whichever computer they want (other software we use limit the installations per device or link licences with specific devices which was always an obstacle when we had people leaving and joining different teams).

It’s really easy to add and remove license users, each person can install the software on their Windows or Mac, on their office and personal computers, and they can access their projects across their different computers.
Aspetti negativi:
The annual subscription is a bit of a pain in our department because we have to submit a bundle of paperwork each time the subscription needs to be renewed. I’d love to not have to do this every year.

Whenever someone logs out of ATLAS.ti, their seat is immediately freed up for anyone else to use by logging into ATLAS.ti Windows, Mac, or Web. In addition, projects can be moved back-and-forth between ATLAS.ti Windows and Mac with 100% compatibility, and projects can be imported between ATLAS.ti Windows/Mac and ATLAS.ti Web. We strive to make sure licenses are being used as efficiently as possible so that you can always share access with anyone who needs it, regardless of which ATLAS.ti platform they are using. We also understand that an annual subscription may not be desirable for institutional budgets and approval processes, and that is why we also offer the option to subscribe to the license for 3 years. Qualitative analysis simplified

I recently want to make a connection between a code and it sub but couldn't until I detach them from been sub-code. It will be nice if it can remain sub-code and still have linkage line between them.
