Commenti: Buidxact has sped up our estimating and the templates we've created have made us a lot more efficient.

Aspetti positivi:

It's easy to use, being able to upload the drawings and do the takeoffs has saved us heaps of time.

Aspetti negativi:

While it's not really a con, we already use a CRM and project management software for our jobs and cost tracking so these features aren't really relevant to us.

Buildxact is easy to use and set up. The support team are great and are also following up to see that you are okay, even after the problem has been resolved.

The purchasing process could be a lot better

Daily Usage for Renovation Industry

Commenti: I quite like the program but the reporting is very lacking so we rely heavily on XERO to do this part.

That is works well with XERO to track expenses according to each job

Aspetti negativi:

That there is no search feature in the Actuals. In the building industry there are so many different items used and a search to find an item would be handy.

Easy of use

Commenti: Love using it and keeping all details in one place

I can put together a $400,000 landscaping estimate together in an hour, super fast. And having used an excel sheet prior and accidentally deleted fields, it's nice to know this doesn't happen

I do not put through purchase orders as it means double handling with having to enter receipts into xero

I have now been in business as a builder since the beginning of 2020 (basically right at the start of COVID). For two years I was using a different platform, and for the past year BuildXact. I was constantly stuffing up my estimates and bleeding money using the old platform, but since changing over to BX and building up my own custom template, I've now done three major extension/renovations through your software and every single one has been profitable!Whilst I'm never satisfied and I'm always tinkering and making improvements to my template, I think my estimates are now really high quality and I'm also winning work based on the professional look of the quote letter.It's been such a massive positive change for my business and I hope my business can remain profitable and healthy into the future using BX and a couple of other handy digital tools.

Buildxact for the win!

Commenti: I am solving my scheduling and project tracking bottlenecks. This program makes it very easy for the client, and myself, to understand (visual - Gant chart) our overall project progress and what employees are working on what portions of our project.

Aspetti positivi:

Integration with my past, current, and future projects was easy. Buildxact is user friendly, and the technical support team is very responsive.

Aspetti negativi:

I don't have anything negative to mention about Buildxact at this time. Sometimes, having multiple windows open will create a lag in refreshing the data entered, but this is a highly user-friendly program overall.

Great Support

We loved the wide range of things we could do with this software. A one stop shop for our costing, scheduling and backcosting.

Aspetti negativi:

We would love a timeline longer than a month to be visable on the dashboard to see all our builds over say a year span. We would also love some more new zealand suppliers. I also struggle sometimes when recipes update wrong or not at all from the categlogue to the esitmate.

Commenti: Two thumbs up! It has significantly increased my productivity through decreasing the estimation and job management process. I spend less time in the office and more time on the tools and having a clod beer after a hard day!

Buildxact is a simple but powerful estimating and job management tool. It has basic CRM functionality that enables the management of leads within the program. The ease take off tool is simple and when combined with the recipes makes the complex quite easy. Building recipes is easy to do and the supplied videos quide you through the process. The other huge time saver is the integration of the software with supplier catalogues. I don't spend anywhere near as much time manually entering items and prices and they are now always up to date.

Aspetti negativi:

There is nothing really diffcult withe the program. If they could improve one thing it is the ability to truly customise the quote cover in a simple manner. The advanced editing feature is a little too complex and even with the help of one of the trainers we couldn't get it to jump through the hoops we wanted. The cover still looks a million bucks - I would just like to tweak it a little more than the system allows.

Best band for you buck

Commenti: Buildxact was exactly what I needed to run my business at a professional level without forking out tons of cash for features I don't need. Their team works to help you get exactly what you need out of the software. I highly recommend this to anyone from residential to high end commercial contractors of all trades.

Easy to setup and start using from day one regardless of your skill level. Intuitive setup and all the features one needs to professionally quote and manage a construction project. Lots of built in tools to help those just starting and tons of customization options to mold the platform to work with your specific business.

Aspetti negativi:

Time card application and RFI/submittal tracking would elevate this product beyond all others in the market.

Commenti: My experience with BuildXact has definitely been positive. It has streamlined and simplified our quoting and cost planning processes.

Aspetti positivi:

I find the estimating features to be easy to use and effective in generating accurate project estimates / quotations. Leading on to 'Job' stage the historical data and cost plan is essential for reviewing and maintaining project cost controls. The Variation portal is also very beneficial with submitting and tracking any changes as the project progresses

Aspetti negativi:

I dont find the Accounting Software integration to be beneficial as the communication between Xero and Build Xact is not 2-way.

Commenti: Pretty happy, customer service where you can speak to someone straight away to resolve issue, you could do that a couple of years ago but the last time I couldn’t speak to anyone and needed to resolve an invoice that couldn’t be done.

Actual costs could be intergrated better rather then doing it all manually. Can site management, ohs requirements be introduced.

In the early days there were a few limitations that led me to search for more comprehensive packages, but i came back after a year or so of try others and found that a lot of the issues had been addressed, such as customer portal.There are still things like mobile app with company skin that would be a great additionMore editable types of invoice and document templates Would be great and also ability to set up a job template for cost plus with different sections / categories would be fantastic

ease of use. price pointed very well. Australian company.

Aspetti negativi:

not all the features of larger program. sometimes slow to add new features. not able to measure drawings once converted to job. not able to mark up drawings to send to contractors. no ability to run TPAR report does not send material credits across to accounting software needs to have the ability to have multiple scales on 1 single page of plans for take off. when marking a customer payment on an invoice sent from buildxact it does not send the payment across to accounting package
