Informazioni su McGraw-Hill Connect
Connect è una soluzione di gestione di compiti e apprendimento di facile utilizzo che comprende strumenti di apprendimento e adattativi che migliorano i risultati degli studenti.
This software is very easy to use and have a lot of features. You can easily insert text books, Syllabus, tests.
Unfortunately, McGraw-Hill Connect does not integrate with other software well at all. I had so much trouble trying to find a way to get the software to work with another platform we were using.

Fantastic resource with a lot of hidden gems.
Overall, it is a highly valuable resource for both students and instructors alike. It allows users to have remote access to the text that is used in the classroom if they are not able to access a copy of the textbook. There are also multimedia resources and quizzes available for some texts/resources. I loved using this in some of my university courses.
It can be a little challenging to navigate as a new user. I also think that a lot of instructors are unaware of the full resources that are available to their students. Some of the resources can seem a little “hidden” at first but once you’ve used it a couple of times you can unlock its full potential.
Want the best Medical Office - Billing and Coding software - for College students? Look no further..
Commenti: I am moving as many courses and resource materials to MMGH so I can use Connect in as many classes as possible. I believe all my SP21 courses are set up with MMGH and will be using Connect. They also have a medical office simulation (game) that students can mimic the exact duties and responsibilities they will be doing in the Medical Office in this software and can get grading information on their work and progress. :)
Textbook, Assignments from the textbook, Workbook, Workbook assignments from the workbook are in this software. No need to purchase a printed book and wait to get it. Everything coincides with the text and/or workbook you use from McGraw-Hill. All Instructor resources are right at hand. I can add, change, delete, hide, upload, download almost anything out of or in to Connect.
Getting started process for Instructors. Getting the students, especially the ones that are new to the Medical Office environment, up and running in the first class time. Did not work the first two semesters I used Connect but since then is not so bad. Just big learning curve already and then add having to try and help the students get started was overwhelming.
The utter failure that is this software
Commenti: This is an overall disaster. I have never seen such a failure learning as a service. I will retain next to none of the information, almost guaranteed. I'm left with utter contempt for this software as it almost feels malicious how it holds the user hostage.
It is visually appealing. That is the extent of any positive aspect
Everything else. The testing/quizzes practically holds the user hostage for hundreds of repeat questions. The reading/knowledgebase is a mixture of conjecture, ambiguity and specifics making discerning an answer or forming a conclusion exceptionally hit/miss. The best bet to save time is to write down the incorrect answers and use them to proceed.
McGraw-Hill Connect - One of the Better LMS Integrations
Commenti: MH-Connect, by far, provides the best customer service from my experience.
McGraw-Hill Connect (or MHConnect) provides one of the best LTI integrations with Canvas, our institution's LMS. The MHConnect interfaces allows you to create assignments, quizzes, and exams and then sync them with Canvas. When students participate in these activities, they do so through the MHConnect interface, and then their scores are passed back to the Canvas grade book. We have multiple publisher integrations in our instance of Canvas. McGraw-Hill Connect continuously provides the most stable connection with little need for support. But when we do need support, we're able to resolve things very quickly with an actual person over the phone.
The interface for MHConnect could use a major refresh that includes enhancing the intuitiveness of performing key functions. For example, after creating assignments, quizzes, and exams, it's not immediately apparent that the instructor needs to then deploy those items to Canvas. It's frequently assumed that because their Canvas course is already linked to their MHConnect course, anything created will be automatically synced with Canvas. Also, changing certain settings for a course in MHConnect needs to be better communicated to the instructor.
A Great Learning Resource!
Commenti: I usage both McGraw Hill's textbooks and e-learning materials in teaching Developmental English. McGraw Hill's books are an invaluable resource that is a staple in my learning tools.
I like the ease of usage, instructional practices, and the overall comprehension that McGraw Hill's textbooks and e-learning books benefit both students as well as instructors.
The results I receive from my students are clear indicators that this software works as their test results reflect such. Therefore, I cannot find any negatives to associate with usage of this product.
A Greedy Business
Commenti: Garbage. I don't see any reason this software could not be directly provided by my university unless McGraw-Hill is refusing to do a bundle deal for the college. This forces us to buy individual packages which I'm sure doesn't hurt their bottom line.
It'd be great if it wasn't additionally price gouging student who are already paying thousands for an education.
The fact that I'm already buying textbooks, materials, and paying for classes, why is my university providing this?
Used for a biology class, generally good results
I used this software for a biology class and it was connected to the textbook that I was using. I really liked that because then it made sure that what I was reading was directly helping me apply the concepts to the homework assignments. It was also easy to navigate and didn't crash at all, which was a relief because academic work can have so much pressure, despite the unforgiving technological difficulties. There were also tools to help you figure out where you could find some certain information in the text, hints, etc, and by giving me more than one attempt as well as the resources I needed to get the question right, I had much higher rates of success and of retaining the information.
I felt like at times the voiceover in the beginning could be very redundant and unhelpful (borderline annoying) because the software is so self-explanatory.
Commenti: Overall I recommend this product to anyone else in higher education. Its definitely a staple in higher education.
As someone who uses this software throughout the week religiously I can say that I've never had any complains. You know you've worked in higher education for too long when just by looking at the logo brings back memories of late nights and coffee.
The price of this product continues to rise, but would still recommend to anyone considering using it.
Commenti: The benefits are syncing student assignment scores to D2L as well as seeing how much time a student spends on each assignment and students receive immediate feedback on their results.
That is sync's the assignment grades in Connect to your school's learning management system such as D2L.
Nothing is missing or difficulty to use. It works well with our learning management system (D2L) and was easily adopted.
McGaw-Hill connect Review
the documentation is completed and updated. The Certification study guide are very helpful. I pass Linux+, ITIL , storage+ and SNIA certification using this material.
forme this is perfect. i do not have any issue with the product or the service.
McGraw-Hill Connect - Education in the 21st Century
Commenti: My overall experience with McGraw-Hill Connect has been positive. I sometimes feel that there are simply too many assignments, too much homework, and far too many quizzes, but at the same time, as a remote student, I'm saving tons of time that would otherwise be spent driving to a campus, and probably learning more in the process.
When I returned to college in 2017 to obtain my MBA, I was surprised how much everything had changed. For starters, I was earning my degree 100% online. This meant lots of e-books and e-learning tools, and both are found through McGraw-Hill Connect. What I like most about this software is that it's easy to get started and easy to maintain progress. The site stores your textbooks, and when you access a textbook, the application remembers where you left off. It's easy to tag and highlight text, sections, and pages. Toggling over to work assignments, you'll find these are easily mapped out so you always know what's due and when it's due (assuming your professor has properly set up the course, of course). I admit I found it all a bit intimidating at first, but now I quite enjoy the many features and functions this learning solution has to offer.
At times, especially when you first being navigating the site, it can be easy to get lost. And this, of course, can be really frustrating when you are on a class deadline. My advice is to navigate the site slowly and learn where everything is stored. A bit of practice will save a lot of headaches in the long run.
Bringing homework to the internet, McGraw-Hill Connect is a viable option for educators and students
Commenti: I am currently taking an online-based class to improve my skills. Connect allows me to complete homework assignments to further my education and ensure I have a good grasp of the material.
McGraw-Hill Connect allows educators and students to digitally assign and complete homework. Connect provides a variety of testing and work options, from timed, password protected quizzes to textbook readings and questions. Educators have the ability to choose options that fit their needs - should the students have access to the book to make a quiz open-book? Should they have the ability to check the correctness of their work (once? unlimited times?)? McGraw-Hill has designed problem sets that complement their textbooks. This means students are able to do homework directly related to the material they are learning. If desired, Connect has hint videos that walk students through the steps necessary to complete a problem.
The solutions provided by Connect are not overly helpful. At times, the hint videos or solutions will provide a way to solve a problem that is different than the method taught in the textbook. Connect could use some work on consistency in this area.
Commenti: The overall experience that I have with this software is completely positive and what is most important is the fact that we are able to teach our own children.
My wife and I have been using McGraw Hill Connect for our 5th and 6th grader for a few years and this software is outstanding. You can actually teach your children one on one and teach them exactly the way that the educators would do it in school. We use the student edition and the teachers edition and I can truly say, it is very very exceptional, like their grades. It was referred to us by a school administrator when my wife was working in the school, and now I send all my friends and family to their website to at least do a trial period, even for their college aged children. You cannot go wrong with this software.
The only thing that I do not like about this software, is the fact that I did not find out about it sooner. I can only imagine the kind of tools and resources that they have for Pre-K and K children.
Top notch study material
This software is probably the best study material to use for a classroom setting. I’m able to have to etext on an app on my phone as well as being able to access it from my desktop. Another thing I liked is the explanations that were given for each problem rather than just the answers being given.
One thing that could be improved is when you click to see the report of a completed assignment it would be simpler if it took you straight to that specific report but instead it takes you a list of all the reports and then you have to find the specific report you want.
McGraw-Hill for online teaching
Commenti: so far I had good experience, highly recommend for online homework and quizzes especially if you are teaching a larger classes.
I like their presentations and assignments, it is very easy to design a quiz and exams using this software. Straight forward to use, it is very helpful to my students and their performance in exams have improved after using McCraw-Hill
software is definitely helpful for students, however the price is little expensive, students often complain about it.
Commenti: McGraw-Hill Connect has made it easier to complete homework assignments and I get instant feedback.
I like that I can access all of my textbooks and the homework usually has help, but the questions are generic so I can normally get help from some resource.
I do not like how frequently it seems like the software is being updated and the ease of use for using the textbooks could be better.
Commenti: Overall, I like it. It can be a bit expensive, but no more so than a textbook, and it can be used for more than one course (if they use the same textbook).
I love using connect for my classes. The Smartbook feature gives a great introduction to the chapter, and the software allows for a seamless transition between the book and the assignment.
Sometimes, if the settings aren't exactly right, the professors have trouble understanding what the students can and can't see on their end, so there is a bit of a disconnect there.
Good supplement for students.
As an educator it does a good job of being user-friendly and easy to understand for students to navigate. Students can access practice tests, interactive and assignments. I really like having a digital copy of each textbook available. I use it to supplement my curriculum.
There are times where Connect has technical issues. It does not have an integrated LMS service which would enhance its appeal for teachers. Sometimes the info is not as current as I would like.
College students must have
This tool is great for online college students, like myself. I have used it for roughly 5 years now. The software allows me to read my textbooks while on the go as well as take any assessments.
I have never had any issues with this software.
Perfect for Distance Learning!
Commenti: Once students are in the system, it's really helpful for making content delivery varied from textbook to online.
I like the most that the software will read the lesson out loud to the student while the student follows along. That is really helpful for struggling readers! Also, being able to assign online content directly into Google Classroom is really helpful!
It is very complicated to add and move students and then also as to where they log in. It's really frustrating.
Commenti: I think there are probably some good resources here, but honestly, it's been too tedious for me to make my way through the site to find them.
I have the textbook for my course. Connect is the online platform for students and teachers. My students most often access the online textbook because there is an interactive version that will let them answer questions as they proceed through the chapter.
This software has been very difficult for me to navigate. I've never been formally trained on it and it doesn't seem intuitive for me to figure out. We've had some difficulty getting students logged in to the software as well. The customer service answer is always to have them call or email customer support which is not super helpful from the classroom.
Good for Homework and Extra Work
Commenti: Good for practice but would be hesitant to use for graded material because of the user error issues.
I use this feature to assign homework or extra practice work to my students. It works for most units and topics.
Some units/topics are difficult when working with McGraw Hill Connect where answers are marked incorrectly or students have difficulty submitting answers in general.
McGraw Connect student textbook functionality
Commenti: McGraw-Hill Connect is good for textbooks but with a few tweaks the viewing experience would be great.
The book directory is very good and points you the right way to find the portions you need. Registration is easy and fast.
The book functionality isn't the best. The zoom feature is no good and navigating exercises is not easy or simple.
McGraw Hill Review
Commenti: I love that both our math and reading curriculums are connected and they give the students online practice with the materials, which helps for their state tests online.
I love that I can upload assignments to students and they connect with our reading and math curriculum.
For MyMath, I can't print workbook pages as a teacher for students who need extra practice.
A Student's Perspective on McGraw-Hill
It's much easier to carry around my school laptop than a big, heavy textbook. I like that I can get almost all of them online.
The online textbooks and website in general, are very confusing to navigate. Oftentimes my homework questions are out of the online textbook, and sometimes it takes me around 1/2 an hour to find them.
