Commenti: I find Lightyear easy to use and I have only had positive feedback from clients.
Aspetti positivi:
I love the automation of data extraction and the built in approval process Lightyear has to offer. It helps me to get my clients data correct, having the correct expenses and payables, and it means I can get multiple levels of approvals before the invoice hits the GL.
Aspetti negativi:
Sometimes the OCR doesn't work the way I expect, but I know they are constantly improving the software and I'm confident it will be better in future.
Lightyear has made my working life much easier

When we export invoices into a csv file to upload into our accounting package, some of the invoices in the csv file do not match the value of the invoice in Lightyear. It's usually only a few cents but I need to cross check every invoice each time I export all csv files against Lightyear.
AP via LY and integration to MYOB
Aspetti positivi:
Mapping allows automated billing preparation which saves time. Duplicates are traceable in high volume bill runs. Processing times are reduced and less paperwork.

Can be a slow connection on the odd occasion.

Lightyear as Approval and Processing Accounts Payable
Commenti: Mostly it is a very good software. It does save a huge amount of processing time, identifies duplicate invoice numbers, streamlines and smoothens the approval system. The Manage Suppliers function helps auto G/L coding to eliminate any inconsistencies and human errors.

Taken a huge load in processing time of the supplier invoices, it can streamline the processes, identify duplicate invoices and eliminates any human errors. It is also well integrated with Xero.
Aspetti negativi:
Getting the right mapping for some suppliers due to their invoice formats can sometimes be challenging and ongoing. Credit notes can at times be problematic as the reference in the credit notes can cause confusion in the processing (due to formats), they can be processed as the original invoices again rather than credit notes.

Commenti: Fairly easy to use, quite easy to navigate they system and pull of reports. If I need extra I have the wonderful support team to help, which so far the questions I've asked they have been able to fulfil my needs

In Dashboard, looking at the user list, it would be great if you could click on the user name and get a list of their approvals

Commenti: Exceptional, the best software that I have worked with over the years.

The implementation of the system was easy with excellent support from the team. It is very user friendly, all approvers have started using it without additional training as it is so straightforward. Processing invoices with Lightyear is super easy and using the system finally allowed us to go totally paperless.
Aspetti negativi:
There is no downside of the system, I cannot mention anything negative about it.

Commenti: Lightyear has proved to be a great value entry point to accounts payable automation. The team at Lightyear were really helpful getting us setup and used to the system and ongoing support for new supplier setups and invoice layouts is very prompt. The system continues to be developed and has some limitations, but for the money you pay, it is a great value product.

The system is simple and handles the basics well such as invoice coding and linear approval workflows.Bank account detail changes, duplicate invoice flagging and statement reconciliation are also very clear and useful.The support team both for implementation and ongoing support are responsive and effective.
Aspetti negativi:
The approval workflow for invoices is at the individual supplier level so you can't create an approval chain for a department and attach a group of suppliers to that department. Each supplier is configured individually.

I have never had a bad experience with Lightyear. Whenever something doesn't work (which barely happens), their team is always very responsive and the problem gets solved super quickly
Streamlined Accounts Payable
Aspetti positivi:
As a small business owner, Lightyear has saved me hours of time processing Accounts Payable each month. By eliminating almost all the manual input I used to do, Lightyear has both significantly reduced the time I spend entering invoices into my accounting system as well as minimized data entry errors. Lightyear's customer service has been very responsive and helpful, and they seek out feedback to continuously improve their product.

Integration with Quickbooks Desktop can be clumsy at times, but that is more of an issue with the 3rd party app needed to import the transactions.

- in some instances, the rules are too rigid. - it will be good to have a little bit of flexibility with some of the rules which should help solve a lot of things especially for supplier who currently don't have a professional way of running their business.

Commenti: The automation of the majority of our invoice entry has been wonderful.

After the initial set up of LightYear and suppliers, we noticed the time savings immediately. I love that I can live chat with a LightYear Staff member whenever I am having trouble with something. They give me mini lessons each time I ask a question, are helpful and have a sense of humor! We have still not implemented all the features the product has to offer, but we are off to a good start.

It was a bit slow to set up and I did require assistance to work out the best way forward for our organization's requirements, however, the assistance received was wonderful.

Great for businesses of all sizes

Excellent customer service from beginning through any daily issues. Our business has increased its offering since using Lightyear and the number of invoices requiring approval has also increased significantly., The system has made this significantly easier and the support has assisted with some tricky invoice mapping from various suppliers.
Also having multiple site, separating costs is far easier now than before we have Lightyear to ensure accurate P&L reporting each month.

Easy to setup and maintain. Excellent support from staff at all levels of Lightyear.

The export into our POS can be a little clunky. This may be from the POS end but it does still provide a level of efficiency with stock management in POS.
Lightyear makes invoice handling very easy and more accurate.
Commenti: Stone & Wood has a non-corporate and egalitarian culture. Employees are held in trust to do the right thing when purchasing with budgets as a guide. We don't have a purchasing department and we have flexible guidelines on buying stuff. However the board of directors and the auditors want black and white figures and proper accounting standards. I would not be able manage two very different requirements without Lightyear. I would need a lot more staff!

What I like most about Lightyear is how easy and versatile it is to use. It saves so much time! Invoices come into Lightyear and are identifiable immediately. Important information from the invoice is automatically read and displayed. Invoice details are easily updated, added and authorised in the one program. The beauty of this is that it happens before it reaches our accounting software which makes the process much more flexible and accurate. All our invoices and statements are stored electronically in this clever filing cabinet and any one granted access can see the actual invoice PDF anytime and quickly. Much easier and more secure than within accounting programs or Outlook. If a supplier has sent an invoice to lightyear, it doesn't go missing. It can't be lost. if it can't be read by Lightyear, it bounces out to your appointed email. Lightyear provides a thorough audit trail. Every time an invoices is read, edited, sent, authorised or declined, etc it is recorded.

As we use SAP accounting software, which is not cloud based, our software integration took a bit longer. The team at Lightyear (then Invitbox) worked with our SAP provider helping them write and produce the integration document.

Lightyear is fantastic
Commenti: Since purchasing lightyear it's made a huge difference to our business. It's hugely free'd up my time as the invoice processing is automatic now and all I have to do is check the coding for new products and then import them into our accounting system. It's made each head of department responsible for their own invoices and the processing of them which is great. It's stream lined our accounting processing as it's compatible software system MYOB plus our POS system Bepoz for beverage inventory and stock takes so we don't have to double enter invoices anymore into 2 different systems. It's free'd up my office from paper and files. I highly reccomend it to any business, it's fantastic.

Lightyear makes invoice processing and filing efficient and time effective. I have now set up departments within the parent comapany so we can split our food cost per department easily. It integrates with our POS system Bepoz, which our Beverage Manager is extremly happy with. It makes his stocktakes more efficient and takes him less time and also integrates with our accountimg system MYOB which is extremely efficient.

Sometimes the export to MYOB lags and I have to do it numerous times before they actually move across. I can live with that!

Phone app does not have all the same capabilities as the website, waiting for further updates.
Lightyear
Commenti: It's saved a lot of time for my business and it works for all of my clients. I have some interstate clients and it's a speedy way to agree and make payments on daily invoices coming through for approval etc. We can all view the same invoice at the same time if there is an issue and easily resolve then and there.

I love that all my actions can be taken out in one place - it's stores/archives all information received and is easily searched upon.
Aspetti negativi:
I would like to see an option to archive 'Service Reports' - it's not always just invoices and statements that come through but often a 'supporting' document that I don't like to delete.

Lightyear has been a critical and very beneficial piece of software for our business. The ease of use combined with the outstanding customer service has meant we were able to build and launch lightyear very quickly and start using it to assist our growing business.

Hard to pick something we dont like. If anything, search capability can be improved within purchase orders but the team are constantly working and upgrading the software.

Commenti: Its been a fantastic experience with high quality customer support and attentive account manager. It was refreshing that they have delivered the product that was sold to us. The fact that there is so much product development and opportunities to feedback means that you feel important as a customer.

The ease of use is exceptional and has made the implementation easy for our organisation. End users have said how much they love the product and all our admin teams and managers have embraced the change which is fantastic. It means that the finance team now have full visibility of where there are backlogs in invoices being sent in for payment which helps when suppliers have queries. The audit trail and approval listing is fantastic.
Aspetti negativi:
It may have helped to get some more feedback from a similar organisation on how they adapted their processes to fit in with Lightyear but the Lightyear team is very helpful and patient so we got up to speed quickly .
Stop searching this is the product for you
Commenti: We have been with them since the start - and I find it exciting to see the new developments, and love the innovation of the team. It has made my workload smaller and aided me in finding invoices that would have long been lost had it not been for lightyear search options.

every time I find something I don't like customer service solve it within minutes - they have figured workarounds for all the work we complete
