How timekeeping is integrated with the payroll side. Employees are able to make demographic, W-4 and various other changes themselves.

Aspetti negativi:

Getting state and local taxes set up in the system is A LOT of work. The way the system looks at a new salaried employee. For example: Our pay period runs the 1st - 15th. We have an employee start on the 16th (beginning of a new pay period). The system requires a pay rate to be in the system for the pay period prior to when they started in order to get the 1st - 15th payroll processed. The system should be able to see the pay rate and DOH is effective 5/16 and know this employee would not get a check for the 1st - 15th pay period.

The reporting tools in RPO are very powerful and work pretty well.

Aspetti negativi:

Attendance on Demand is completely over engineered for our needs. It's very frustrating trying to learn the system, is not intuitive, and is inflexible for what I want it to do. I really like having a dedicated account manager, but I often feel they are stretched too thin. Training on the system has been difficult. The training documents are not helpful at all because these are not configured for our particular setup, especially as it relates to Attendance on Demand. In the reporting tool, I've asked about a DOZEN different people in different departments to help me configure one specific report: A snapshot of the active employees on a given day in history; I want to be able to pull a simple report saying who was actively employed on October 22, 2019, for example... NOT who are the active employees TODAY with data from that time period. I've requested this from my account managers (4 different people), client relationships managers (2 different people), and trainers (3 different people). No one has been able to support me on this simple request.

Commenti: We are starting our 7th year with Proliant and have been very happy with the services provided. Our previous payroll company presented a few challenges which Proliant has been able to assist with solving those challenges. No real complaints about the product.

Proliant's features help with payroll, related taxes and filings, 401k transmission, onboarding new employees, job costing. They system offers general reporting as well as the capability of creating your own customized report for whatever information you are looking for.

Aspetti negativi:

there is an auto generated end date for Branch, Department and Jobs. sometimes these drop off without some sort of warning that it is going to end and then employees code their time to something else since they can not locate the correct code. It would be nice if there was a notice that something was going to end date so it could be checked to see if the end date needs to be extended.

Commenti: Proliant has been a great tool to use since I have worked in the HR department. It is easy to use and helpful with new hires. The support contacts are easy to get a hold of and respond in a timely manner.

Applicant Tracking, Reviews, and Time and Attendance are all easy to use and have helped our company with putting a stop to using paper. It has been easy to navigate things and see how it works.

Aspetti negativi:

Reports in my opinion could use some improvement; some types of reports are not able to be run in Proliant and it causes a little frustration. The reports writer and library work well but could use some improvement in my opinion.

Commenti: Proliant is an overall efficient HRIS suite that can deliver on a budget.

Proliant features a suite of easy to use HRIS. The implementation is not a long an drawn out process based on my experience and business size. The price is in line with the features.

Aspetti negativi:

Some services that Proliant offers are sub-par and can use better customer service. We use the full tax services that Proliant offers and though the services are full-filled, the customer services of the tax team is lacking. Takes multiple queries to receive a response and the response time is below par. Next is the Attendance On Demand time keeping module, this is by far my least favorite or I should say the worst part about Proliant's HRIS. If you are looking for a simple but dated time keeping system then you should have no issues. But if you are looking for a technically up-to-date system to track time, manage time keeping, and have real time analytics then this is not the one for you.

My Proliant experience

I believe that the rather uncomplicated ease all features are imperative to my job duties.Once i used it for a while it becomes second nature.

I can't really think of much except waiting for weeks to hear back from the tax department when having an issue.

Commenti: Proliant has made the hiring process so much smoother and efficient. Once the kinks were worked out with the insurance integration, it has cut our time down tremendously. We are able to see issues in real time rather than them accumulating and costing us more money. Reports are available for management staff to use to make important business decisions in a timely manner.

The software is very easy to use. The entire integration process was not without its kinks, but the entire time worked tirelessly to make sure we were ready to go on day 1. Anytime that we have a question or issue we know we can count on our customer service team to get us a response and/or fix quickly.

Aspetti negativi:

We had some trouble with some items that were setup incorrectly on the time and attendance side from the get go, but those were quickly identified and fixed. We had a change in our time and attendance rep a few months ago and had some issues with him responding. The supervisor stepped in, took care of the situation, and we haven't had any issues since.

The Proliant product is easy to use and features are very applicable. There are many features to create reports and follow up. Always updating their site to stay ahead of the curve.

Aspetti negativi:

Sometimes their updates move icons around and you have to locate them or call Proliant. Such as adding an employee is found under employee events, but to terminate an employee you have to go the actual employee. These changes on a regular basis can be a little frustrating.

Commenti: I would highly recommend Proliant for all Payroll & HR services. They have proven to us to be the industry leader!

Proliant was the best decision for our organization in 2014 because they were by far the industry leader in understanding the Affordable Care Act. As a multi-company with mostly hourly employees we needed professionals that could guide us through the law and help us be and stay compliant. We were able to continue to be an E-verify employer with the Talent Acquisition & Hiring feature. Proliant's commitment to providing employers with tools to navigate the ever changing laws brought them to the top again during the Covid-19 Crisis and reporting for the PPP loans and tax credits. They provided weekly webinars to their clients and offered great customer support.

Although the software is user-friendly, I would like to have available training sessions with professionals.

Commenti: Fantastic. Everyone who has worked with our staff was hospitable, welcoming, and professional. Response to the very few issues we encountered was swift and accurate.

Proliant is intuitive to use and training is included to get started. Onboarding team was fantastic to switch our payroll from another vendor's two products in a very short window. Reporting is very flexible in filtering and output options.

Fantastic Customer Service Has Earned My Loyalty

Commenti: The system is easy and the assigned Rep is fantastic. I love knowing I have an assigned individual who is extremely responsive that sends easy, visual directions so that I quickly can accomplish whatever task I couldn't figure out on my own. Over the years, Proliant has grown with my company where it was only 1 other employee to more than a dozen today.

Aspetti positivi:

The software itself are generally easy and intuitive, but what I like best is the personalized customer service. My assigned Rep (Robby) is 100% fantastic. Every time I email him with a question about the platform he replies within minutes (I think the longest way was an hour or two). He sends me step-by-step screenshot directions on how to accomplish whatever I was hoping to do. He also will reach out with deadline reminders to make sure payroll and other related items stay on schedule. As to the platform, it's easy to do payroll and only takes about 10 minutes even after adding personalized PTO and commissions. Proliant's personalized customer service sets them far apart from other payroll services and has earned them a loyal customer.

Aspetti negativi:

I'm not an HR guy, but as the owner of a small company with a dozen employees, the task falls to me. I'm not up on a lot of the lingo so it requires me to ask more questions as it's not super-easy to figure out items on my own. Luckily, it's easy to just ask my Rep who's extremely responsive, negativing what otherwise would be a negative towards Proliant.

Commenti: I would say that our experience has been a positive one. I have had some really great support people but they always seem to leave and we're left with some that aren't very helpful. I would like to see the training and support materials improved. They give you an overall understanding of what the tool does but, when you have an issue, it's really difficult to try and find the answer on your own.

Our implementation was very easy. Each of our implementation specialists were very engaged and knowledgeable and helpful during our implementation. The layout is is user friendly and the modules offered are all important aspects of the HR function. I also like the amount of tools provided.

Aspetti negativi:

While implementation was easy, the training to use the software was lacking. Watching someone go through a video of the modules wasn't as useful as being able to get into a testing site and actually use the software. I wish the guides were a little more user friendly. Sometimes it's hard to tell which guide the information I'm looking for is in. The help feature is nice but, when I tried to use it, it didn't provide me with the information I was looking for.

Not delivering what was expected

Commenti: If we were using Proliant to simply run payroll, I think we would be fully satisfied. It's the other areas that we constantly experience problems, and thought that by switching to a smaller company, we would have more dedicated service. It often seems our dedicated account representatives are overwhelmed with other clients, as I often have to make several attempts to reach out in order to get a response, and some issues continue to remain unresolved. Unfortunately, we have actually given up on finding solutions to several issues at this point (transfers between company locations, 401k terminations, overlapping day clock ins, and time off requests, are just several examples that we continue to experience issues with on a recurring basis).

Payroll processing is a breeze. If that is all you are using it for, you will love its ease of use and functionality. At the price point offered, it is a very economical choice for basic functionality.

Aspetti negativi:

Communication between Time & Labor and Ready Pay Online is lacking. Continued issues since day one that have still not been ironed out in regard to transferring employees to new locations, time off tracking, browser accessibility, and 401(k) integration, just to name a few.

Commenti: Honestly pretty shitt. I have had to go to my account managers boss multiple times and she has helped me but I feel like if we have an account manager who does not help what is the point of one.

Proliant - Excellence

Commenti: One word "EXCELLENT": But I have to say that what makes it excellent is the Customer Support I have received over the years. I have been using Proliant for a little over 4 years and there is NO Customer Support (except Chick-a-filet, lol) that compares to Proliant - namely [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and her support when she is not available.

Here is where I think you could add some improvements: On the Multiple Entry when you want to add another earnings item and you click on that EE, it ask you to save, then you select save, then it makes you select the EE again, then it goes to single entry --- it would be nice to bounce between these two entry points with more ease. Another item that I ran across is, let say I want to reimburse an EE $200; $100 for Vehicle expense and $100 for a reimbursement for supplies; instead of creating another code, if we had a place for a brief memo and it printed on the payroll register - same for any other code especially earnings. This would save the payroll clerk from having to do this every payroll - we run three payrolls a week.

Proliant review from small company

Commenti: My customer support team for RPO and BSift are phenomenal! They are extremely responsive when I reach out for assistance and happy to explain to me how to do something so that I learn the process for myself. They even offer to set up a zoom meeting to share the screen for visual learning.

Aspetti positivi:

Being able to use all of the elements of the payroll system, having a mobile app to share with employees that may not have a computer to use at home, integration with an onboarding company to capture applications and send communications to applicants without calling them each time, BSwift for capturing insurance information and enrollment

Aspetti negativi:

Again, I find the report system very frustrating & do not feel it is user friendly at all. I am not sure the solution as I am not an IT person, but there has to be an easier way to build reports.
