Commenti: Essendo studente di Ingegneria Informatica ho installato Anaconda per semplificare di molto la mia esperienza con Python su ambiente Linux. Ottima esperienza e consiglio vivamente l'utilizzo di questa distribuzione.

Great tools for analyzing big datasets!

Aspetti positivi:

I really like that it provides multiple tools for analyzing large datasets in R and Python.

Aspetti negativi:

Rstudio can be difficult to launch sometimes.

Data Science platform with extensive functionality and ease of version management

Commenti: I love Anaconda overall thanks to its extensive set of features, platforms it contains and ability to manage installed libraries and install new ones. Version management is very critical for a developer. For example, I recently needed a function that was brought to Pandas just recently, which was 'Int64' datatype that enabled NaN values for Int datatype in DataFrame. I realized I needed to update Pandas. Rather than going through painful process of library update and management, I have gone through this process with ease.

I loved that: - Almost all libraries come default with Anaconda, such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Sci-kit Learn. - Even the libraries that does not come default in Anaconda can be easily installed via Anaconda user interface because the namespace contains such information. For example XGBoost, CatBoost, LightGBM, Imbalanced-learn, tsfresh libraries can be installed easily with no need to pip or other command-line interface command. - Maintenance and update of installed libraries are managed easily and automatically in Anaconda. You can see your installed library's current version and if there's any update, it automatically checks and notify you so that you can update them all with one click only. - Anaconda comes with platforms such as Jupyter Notebook, Spyder, Orange, VSCode and more. So you can develop your Python/R script in any of those according to your preference.

Aspetti negativi:

There are two drawbacks I have seen so far: - As more and more libraries are installed, Anaconda opening becomes slower. - Update of libraries at once is relatively slow but I guess that's understandable, comparing it to all the labor otherwise that would be carried out by the developer.

Now python , Machine learning projects can be developed and implemented easily.

Commenti: One of the main problem we were facing Early is that, we need downloaded and install many tools separately, that may consume much memory space. But now all the things are available in a single platform. Now things are much easy to work with. Anaconda provides all the basic features that are necessary for developers.

Aspetti positivi:

Anaconda provides a complete package for scripting, The main and important thing is that Everything for developing projects are available at a single place. Jupiter notebook, spider, etc. are some helpful and useful tools available in Anaconda. The tool itself is faster and more efficient than others.

Aspetti negativi:

I didn't find anything to dislike, But sometimes the tool crashes in between working and reloading takes much time. Anyway, the customer support is good that they reply to our queries faster without any delay.

Better alternative for Numeric analysis and visualization

Commenti: Anaconda is very useful tool with many great open source tools that come with it, such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn as well as convenience to keep them updated, and install new ones.

Aspetti positivi:

I liked that it comes with a lot of ready to use libraries out of package, such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib and Seaborn, which makes it possible to read, process, model and visualize the data. I liked that version management is very easy to handle, too. It is possible to simply click on the library and then "install/update" button below. It is also very easy to install new ones, its default namespace already contains many many Python libraries and you can filter them using "not installed ones". Then again, to install, you simply click on the checkboxes.

Aspetti negativi:

The only drawback I can say is its rapidity is a bit low. I guess that's expected considering the number of packages it comes with, and adding new ones to these ones. Another strange thing I came across is, whenever I want to update a package that was already installed, instead of updating that one only, it updated them all, which is odd and very time consuming, considered each update takes some significant time.

The fact that you can use spyder and rstudio in the same software is a great advantage to improve your app development.

Aspetti negativi:

There is so much information to learn if you are new in coding, but once you learn, it is very easy to navigate in Anaconda's features.

Commenti: I have used anaconda throughout my degree and I still use it in my work today. It has been a pleasant experience I was able to hit the ground running relatively quickly and use it for my professional needs.

As a Machine learning engineer I use all the time in my work for performing various tasks. I love the fact that I get to use all software in a single centralized unit. In it I can find my all the different IDEs and tools such as Spyder, Jupyter Notebook, Jupyter lab, R Studio.....etc. I find this extremely convenient. Aside from that it allows me to create multiple virtual environments with very minimal effort through its fantastic UI (user interface) which keeps the whole process relatively simple. I would absolutely recommend this product to any Machine learning engineer or Data scientist.

Aspetti negativi:

I dislike the idea that it has slow start-up time. It is noteworthy to say that it is not a major issue but never the less. It is slow to start-up. Other than that there is no major issue.

Preloaded Development Tool

Commenti: Industry which recruits new comers more or starting new branch in data science especially, this tool can be boon to them. Very easy for beginners to get along and all-in-one package which is also compact in size.

Aspetti positivi:

Most of the tools like PyCharm or Eclipse etc. requires to download packages when you need during development like numpy, panda more if you need, and many new trainees face problem while setting up the dependencies. Anaconda isnsaviour for them. With already loaded packages that are frequently used and it also helps to set up dependencies in future. Setting up Anaconda and its components like Jupiter Notebook are quite easy with many tutorials available online, but even without that installation is easy. Along with Python, it supports many other popular language like R. Community support is great.

Aspetti negativi:

Heavy load on memory and cpu on start up. Hence, specifications need to be above average if you are using for personal use. Many functionalities are provided for free but other complex functionalities specially in the field of data science and analyticsy, it require to purchase premium services. If your code get about few hundreds of lines, it might be difficult to navigate to specific module. Need some changes like Sublime to see the text zoomed out so it would be easy to find the part in a code.

Best ide for learning python

Commenti: When l first started learning python l didn't know what l would like to learn either basic python, data science, machine learning hence all l needed was a software which can cater for any needs since l have limited internet access to download and this software seemed to be all l needed

It has all ide for learning and programming with python hence a single download will cover all your python needs. It has both free and paid versions to cater for both enterprises and students who are interested in using python. Small file size Can run on low end systems without hindering quality

Aspetti negativi:

There is nothing that l least like about this software

Best IDE for Python Programming

Commenti: Anaconda gives me so much flexibility and I don't know what I would do without it. It is my preferred software when it comes to programming Softwares. I have used it for a while now and I am very much pleased with its functionality. The fact that is is actively supported and updated is another plus for me.

I have used Anaconda base application for all my Python programming as it offers me all the plugins that I need for coding. It gives an interface to install all the plugins in a user-friendly way. The ability to use anaconda with many other IDE is another thing that has drawn me to Anaconda. I could use it with PyCharm or Spyder.

Aspetti negativi:

Nothing that I can think of in terms of what I like least.

Anaconda - a program that helped me very much.

I think it's a bit slow when dealing with, unlike other programs I've dealt with. At first, your understanding of the software will be difficult, and then it will become very easy.

Perfect platform for Data Science

Aspetti positivi:

Anaconda is a great platform as it has everything one needs to do Data Science and Machine Learning. It gives one access to Jupyter Notebook, R Studio, Orange, etc via the interface where you can choose what you need to install. Spyder is a good IDE which is included with the package. The individual edition is fee of cost while there are other paid SaaS versions for the enterprise. It also has all the important Python open-source tools one needs such as NumPy, Matplotlib and Panda, along with all the libraries you need to do your work. They also provide access to documentation for the various services in case you are stuck somewhere.

Aspetti negativi:

Sometimes there are issues if you need to do something and it doesn't work with the current version of Python and this causes some frustration. On rare occasions, there is a bit of a lag. Some of the services consume a lot of resources randomly.

Anaconda review

Commenti: as mentioned in Cons, I once faced a problem while installing it for a user that has an apostrophe in his name.

Anaconda is a great environment for python and Data Science users as it provides a variety of applications related to python/data science, downloading libraries is also easy with conda shell, and it also has a learning section which I see is helpful.

Aspetti negativi:

installing it for the first time may be difficult for some people, I once faced a problem while installing it for a user that has an apostrophe in his name.

Great environment for developers

Commenti: Anaconda is one of my favorite tools for starting a new coding project. I usually use Jupyter and Spyder notebooks, and they've been easy enough for me to learn even as a beginner, and to extend my code using library support. The premium version has many alluring features, but it can be a tad bit expensive for students and hobby-coders like me.

Aspetti positivi:

It has a great user interface with support for running multiple environments for your development. The Jupyter and Spyder notebooks are my usual go-tos, and they work really well. Code auto-correction is a lifesaver. I also love the debugging tool, which makes it very easy to find out the bugs in your code. Preloaded libraries, support for multiple languages and environments, support for extended libraries, and simple integration of various tools, makes it a must have for coders.

Aspetti negativi:

It can be a bit bulky sometimes, slowing down and lagging while you're working on your code. Especially when you are on a low-end system. But everything is saved automatically, so it doesn't ruin your effort, although I'd still love it to be a bit more agile.

Anaconda

Commenti: Anaconda is a great software for python programming and I am impressed with the other scientific apps that come preinstalled in the IDE.

First off, Anaconda is extremely easy to use for all your potential coding needs without downloading a lot of different software. Secondly, it's a strong platform to used for any python coding necessary for work.

Amazing possibilites for all-levels users

Commenti: Great platform for me as a beginner to play with all the amazing Python tools. It looks like a great choice for pros too but I can't tell for sure.

Aspetti positivi:

I like the fact I can have all the libraries and modes I need to be installed quickly and as an all-in-one tool. I'm a beginner with Python and I didn't know how to deal with it and Anaconda turned out to be a great solution.

Aspetti negativi:

It was not so obvious to install and I'm still not sure about all the functionalities. The tutorial materials could be more broad but on the other hand I use the free version for learning purposes so I shouldn't expect too much.

The best feature of this tool is its ease of implementation and install without any hassles. The other best thing is we can integrate R studio apart from the Python's Jupyter notebook so that we can actually work and code in R programming language

Aspetti negativi:

One thing I don't like is the dependencies to install few libraries and packages. The developers should make it more simple rather than complex so that even a non-IT guy can quickly grasp

Great Software

Aspetti positivi:

Its a software where you can program in several languages, Anaconda has a lot of programs suchs like R Studio, Python, Orange and Jupyter Notebook. Its easy to use because has the opportunity to choose the enviroment, version and a lot of other setting that are very useful for everyone.

Aspetti negativi:

I dont consider that exist issues with this program, I only think the loading time would be better in some times and maybe would be more intuitive.
