Commenti: We have consolidated several different monitoring products down into prometheus and use custom scripts/exporters for metrics we never before were collecting and monitoring.

Good tool to monitoring and alerting
Commenti: It was useful tool in order to identify bottlenecks and some alerts but eventually we change to kibana

You can visualize everything, the powerful query based in elastic gives prometheus a very flexible tool for explore logs, find problems and much more. You can define very specific rules

It consumes a lot of resources but is something you can expect from any tool of this nature.
