TOPS listened to its customers and added many new features with their newest software - TOPS ONE.
New streets not yet mapped in a new subdivision is a bit difficult to map an exact location for the GPS violation software.

They're an absolute nightmare to deal with - I closed on an apartment in Oct 2022 (It's now Sept 2023) and instead of creating a new account they co-mingled my account with the prior [sensitive content hidden] who was deceased. They kept trying to debit from his account resulting in late fees and ton of other issues. It took months to stop the auto debit, primarily because no one on Sharma’s (acquired by Enumerate) team could be bothered to call back despite multiple attempts to contact them, both by myself and my building’s management office. My account is still comingled with the prior [sensitive content hidden], the firm's namesake, absolutely refuses to speak with me, despite multiple attempts to schedule a phone call. Shamra also will not send me a full accounting from when I closed to the current date, I have asked for this multiple times. I have no idea why. DO NOT USE THEM

They tried to reinvent the wheel, but FAILED!!
Commenti: Terrible. From the minute we transferred data from Tops Pro to Tops One, there was issues. We were told it would only take a few hours to transfer the data. Imagine our dismay when it took a MONTH for data to transfer over. Yes, a month, you read that right. We were promised all this "training" on this new product. No training. Even the "videos" don't answer your questions. And then when the employees call you to help you, they have an attitude like we are bothering them. We currently don't have a representative with the company. She left the company over 6 months ago, and to our knowledge, hasn't been replaced. Our concerns are NEVER addressed. "Your issues have been escalated to development" and no fix is ever made. We truly feel like they tried to reinvent the wheel when they had a product that worked well and just needed some upgrades. Also, we feel like the people who developed Tops One do not work in the industry. We wish we would have gone to another company and now stuck in a 5 year contract paying $1000.00 per month for a program that does not work.

I do like that you can access it from anywhere from any device. And the speed of accessing the database is much faster than Tops Pro. We "upgraded" from their old software to this program. I also like the email functions. Its aesthetic look it much nicer than TopsPro. But that has really nothing to do with it's functionality.

I am comparing all my experiences with a software this company made. So its not comparing apples to oranges. Let me also state that I have been using Tops' Products for over 14 years and have a vast experience with it. Almost every module is not user friendly at all. To do any task in Enumerate Central (formally Tops One) you have more steps or clicks. The template module for letters are a nightmare. The report function is a joke. We can't even print a budget summary. I literally have to export the budget to excel and modify it. CCR reports, we will be waiting a lifetime for that to populate. Now, the email function is sending violation letter to previous [sensitive content hidden], and previous previous [sensitive content hidden], who knows whenever that will be fixed. The system with kick you out if you get distracted for a minute with a [sensitive content hidden]. Better hope you saved your work before you got distracted because it will all be gone when you log back in. In bank reconciliation you constantly have to save your work, nothing, I mean nothing autosaves. I have had to start bank reconciliations all the way over because I didn't press the save button before I did an adjustment. Same thing for deposits. Hope you don't exit out of your web browser by mistake without hitting save first. Speaking of deposits, if you need to make adjustments to homeowner accounts while making deposits you will have to have a second browser window open to do so. I don't have enough characters for all of it's faults but you get the drift.

we never even entered one transaction. Sadly we changed management companies and they have their own software I went to cancel after paying set up fees ( around $2,000) to find out I am bound to a 3 year contract no exceptions. I will make sure that EVERYONE ( and I am very active in the Condo Community) knows how they do business. I understand a penalty but 36 month payment, is extreme BUYER BEWARE

This company does not care about customer service. I signed up with them, gave them an estimated number of doors, and began the onboarding process. Just 6 days after my first meeting with my onboarding specialist I learned this product and this team would not work with my firm. I immediately let them know that due to their incompetence and lack of knowledge about their own product, I wanted to terminate. I submitted this in writing and offered to pay the set-up fee even though they had done NOTHING thus far. They sent me to upper management who made more promises that they did not keep and then sent me the buyout/termination agreement. Y'all they are asking for $67,000 to terminate! I am at a loss of words and will be contacting an attorney.
It's a trap - don't do it!
Commenti: The worst customer service and user support ever experienced in professional service contract. Despite 2+ years and innumerable hours spent investigating, documenting and evidencing functionality issues, we've made no progress towards efficient use of the software. Every month a different software operation is "broken" by their development team as they endeavor to roll out more features despite unreliable functionality of existing offerings. High turnover in the support dept is deeply concerning. Tops/Enumerate must be just as difficult to work for as it is to work with. Support tickets often go unanswered for weeks and many are left unresolved entirely. My staff are often more knowledgeable of the software than the Support personnel assigned to the issue. It's apparent that those who are designing the code have never worked in the Association Management industry. Frustration doesn't even begin to describe our experience. From day 1, the transition from our previous software (TopsPro, the predecessor to TopsONE) was a disaster. Twice our roll out date was delayed due to failure to provide sufficient training in a timely manner. When we finally went live, we discovered that irreparable errors were made in the initial population of our data. They didn't ask questions and now we're stuck with permanent errors that cannot be amended or deleted. Since then, we've spent 100s of hours correcting data and creating workarounds.

I've been working directly with the Senior Customer Support Specialist and [sensitive content hidden] but neither lend value to improving our professional relationship despite significant effort on our part. We've met numerous times and participate in a monthly phone call to review outstanding issues but still, the situation continues to deteriorate. My team and I do not trust this software to function as intended, a considerable liability.

There are SO MANY ongoing functionality issues, but here are a few of the big ones:- No bounce back emails or delivery confirmation. They cannot/will not provide the data necessary to comply with WA state law despite repeated requests. As such, we cannot use the email function embedded in the software, which is a considerable liability and creates lots of extra work.- Collection levels and holds do not function as described. When an owner pays in full, the software is supposed to automatically release the assigned collection code but it doesn't.- Without a strong internet connection, the mobile app will not function properly. This issue isn't well addressed in the solicitation and training offerings.- Knowing and understanding all the little quirks to support full functionality is a fulltime job. If you don't have TONS of time to dedicate on an ongoing basis, this is not the software solution for you.- Glitches and minor service interruptions are expected occasionally, our response is what sets us apart. I spend more time evidencing functionality issues that it would take to fix the data myself. Support ticket response lacks basic customer service skills and display limited knowledge of the software until you get past the first few techs, which often takes 2-3 weeks. All investigation and evidence collection is imposed on the client - if you cannot prove unequivocally that the software isn't functioning, the default Support response asserts operator error.
Review of Top (One)
Commenti: Overall, it's a good software package. It's constantly growing and changing with updates. I hope to eventually see it exceed our expectations.

TOPS (One) is a very easy program to learn. I find it more user-friendly than TOPS Pro, its predecessor. The TOPS customer support is great at accepting feedback and correcting and editing issues that need to be updated or changed to fit the industry.
Aspetti negativi:
The fact sheet is limited. It needs to be expanded and it lacks the capability to print it off. Also, once a homeowner's CCR is closed, it no longer shows on the homeowner's history page.
TOPS has gone down hill

We started with TOPs IQ and it was okay. Support started out good but then they sold us on tops one with a better interface and a lot of promises. TOPS one has been a major disappointment.
Changing management software is a big undertaking, don't commit to tops because you will regret it. It has cost our company thousands of dollars in setup, increased subscription costs and lost time for managers.

They sold us with great functionality and promises but after we paid for setup and training we found out that it couldn't do basic stuff like send emails from our company email address. It has now been over a year and the product is still not there and they never respond to inquiries.

Tops One is great but still needs some advance features
Commenti: My overall experience with Tops One, considering I am a beginner with this software, has been a extensive learning one.
Aspetti positivi:
What I like most about the software is the easy navigation between the functions available. For example, posting payments thru the AR- Cash Receipts provided under the AR-Accounts Receivable tab. It's easy to post a payment on a unit owners account.
Aspetti negativi:
The least I like about the software are: 1) from an accountant perspective and having QuickBooks knowledge doing adjustments and rectifying ledger accounts are a bit confusing. The Debits and Credits seem to work backwards in this software which causes major confusion when making adjustments. 2) Is not having an auto function for bank transaction integration . Currently all deposits made through the bank, the bank provides a text file which we then upload into Tops One (lockbox cash reciepts). For expenses we have to post manually. Quickbooks has a bank integration module which downloads bank transactions into the software which then the accountant can review and post with one click of a button without having to manually input transactions. Having this kind of integration will definitely provide a more realistic and real time bank balances.

Commenti: The joke I have always used about Tops is that it was designed in 1991 and not updated since then. I fear that is too close to accurate.
Aspetti positivi:
It has nearly every feature that one could need for property management. They now have APIs that can be used with outside services which is helpful.
Aspetti negativi:
It is difficult to use and it is clunky. Contacting customer service is a disaster, takes at least an hour, and while they address the issues they will not explain how so that you can avoid the hour plus long call next time it happens (and there will be a next time)

I normally don’t do reviews, but my experience with company has been awful! I was sold a bill of goods over a year ago on the merits of the online software “Tops One”. The program never worked well, was full of bugs, and was rushed into release before it was ready… I’ve requested a refund of my implementation fee and monthly fees, with no response from the company.
I researched their products and viewed the market share and was impressed with their stand alone products, prior to me jumping into the online version. What they offered was real time in the field, cloud based software that would have been exactly what I was looking for! No such luck, even my trainer finally acknowledged that the program was rushed to market and was ghost of a product that is currently in use.
And just so you know I’m not a nut case competitor trying to knock them.

Clearly, as an early adopter you ran into some of the feature gaps that come with releasing a new product to market. Over the past year the TOPS Development Team has worked tirelessly to close this gap. The TOPS ONE that was sold to Terra Vista then does not represent the current cloud based HOA Software that is on the market today. TopsOne Review
Commenti: Overall we are very happy with TopsOne. It was a slow start because there were many kinks that needed to be worked out but the IT staff were great and helped us along the way.

Commenti: I have been a Tops user since late 1999. Our organization is comprised of 16 Neighborhood Associations and a Master Association. Our organization is the property management for all 17 associations as they are all located within one Premier Country Club. I was forced to look for new software as the software that I was using became unavailable as the owner of the (one man) company suddenly past away. I was very happy with the software, but had no idea that most of the components were not written down. He was brilliant except he should have shared the information with someone else. Now, as I was researching for a new program, my main concern was to find an established company that was not a (one man) show. There were several excellent programs that I looked at, very impressive; however most of them were a (one man) show. I found several companies that were using Tops Software and I went to a couple of them to see Tops in action. It was very impressive and very stable. That is how I decided to pick Tops! I am now using Tops 4.0. In the beginning, Tops was quite easy to initiate. Tops came with a training package, which included a Tops Representative to help me with the set up. We, Tops and I, have had a long relationship now and I have no regrets. I am constantly learning the new upgrades and I am very happy that I made the right choice! Tops also offers excellent customer support! I never have to fear when I need assistance as the return call or online response is very quick! Thank you Tops Software!!

Horrific Experience -- BEWARE
Commenti: Also be aware, that if your implementation doesn't work, they insist on keeping your implementation fees for their time. They even tried to blame me for not supplying data. I have emails to the contrary which I supplied to them. Still no refund for implementation. Horrible.

If you are lucky enough to be able to balance your accounts, be certain to look at your reports. You would think they would be correct, but they may not be. My accounts balanced but my reports showed an huge amount in million prepaid total for maintenance fees. That's only the beginning of the problems. I'm happy to provide more details.

Commenti: We began using TOPS in September 2012 after reviewing and researching many other software options. TOPS is not only reasonably priced, but they offer many additional modules or services to increase productivity and efficiency. TOPS software is very user-friendly, robust, practical, detailed, and it is frequently updated to follow new legislation. They also have a terrific tech support team. Every call we have made resulted in a solution. The team is friendly, courteous, understanding, and compassionate. They do not belittle or shame us when we make a stupid mistake or call with a “dumb” question. TOPS software allows us to create violation letters, collection letters, architectural request forms, and much more directly from the software. The A/P portion allows for keeping copies of invoices directly in the vendor history instead of storing years worth of invoices in filing cabinets. We can store copies of recorded deeds directly in the owner’s record instead of scanning it into another system or holding paper copies. TOPS offers much more than just keeping standard AR/AP records. Since beginning with TOPS, we have been able to reduce our stored paper and practically eliminate our third party scanning system. I highly recommend the software to HOA/CID management companies.

Puts what you need to watch at the forefront... on the home screen. Work orders are placed at the front.

The help options don't help much. I wish they had a better help option online or in the product instead of having to call.

Aspetti positivi:
It meets 95% of the needs for a HOA community, with many additional modules. Has a good owner data base. Good tech support. Great program for the cost. Vendor has been around for a long time.
Aspetti negativi:
Does not work well with large communities that have a lot of data, reports take to long to process. Flex data fields are to cumbersome to get good reports. Custom reports is complicated, not user friendly.

Easy to use!

It's easy to use and has what we need in one software package and at our fingertips. We are able to save so much time compared to our last software. In the beginning, it seemed like we must be missing steps, because things just didn't take as long as they had in the past.
Aspetti negativi:
I don't like the customer support. Aside from our problems with customer support and getting things corrected, the other least favorite aspect of TOPS is not being able to modify reports and financials like I would like to. I am used to having the ability to change things and that just isn't possible with TOPS. We were told before we purchased that they are working on modifications to where we can make some changes. I really hope that happens.
