Good for shop monitoring

Commenti: All in all, this is good software. Helped us improve our online shops - with monitoring response times over time and comparing them between the stores.

Aspetti positivi:

That it simply works and provides reliable data. We use Slack a lot, so slack integration is a big plus. Ease of use - the entry level is not too high, so anyone can configure it at the basic level. Customer service is great also - people are kind and always willing to help.

Aspetti negativi:

Transaction monitoring is a little bit expensive for what it does.Configuration is simple but has its limitations. Yet for our use case, it is fine and working.

Commenti: With uptrend I can increase the price of my products. The increase has helped in the growth of my business.

The high swing low and the high swing high makes it easy to predict the products price. The higher the cost, the better for my website. I love it because of its potential reward relative to risk.

It is very difficult to determine the cause of an uptrend since it consists of High and low swings and can affect a business either positively or negatively

Unfair business practices - READ THE FINE PRINT

Works overall. Does as advertized and easy to use

We had a yearly contract with Uptrends. I attempted to cancel it several days before the expiry and they told me there is a 3-month notice period and refused to cancel. I have not seen any SaaS company that needs a 3-month notice period, so be aware before signing up. These guys are running a scam with their cancellation policy.

Powerful and reliable uptime monitoring

Commenti: Uptrends provides us with an important and independent measure of our site health, and we rely on it for instant reports when our website is unresponsive so that we can take action immediately.

The wide range of monitoring locations, and the fallback to a different location on failure - this means we don't get false positives.

Beware of 12 month contract with 90 day termination notice

Commenti: The worst SAS contract I have every seen for a moderately useful product.

Buyer Beware: when signing up, you are agreeing to a 12 month contract with a 90 day termination notice. If you complain about this, their customer "service" will send you a screen shot of the contract with these terms highlighted. The 12 month term is not mentioned on the website. They aren't offering annual pricing with a discount vs monthly pricing. Nope, you're just signing up for 12 months with a 90 day out.

Very difficult to cancel

Commenti: It was very difficult to cancel. Most SAAS companies allow a user to cancel within 30 days and they can cancel on their own typically with a cancellation button or form within their account. I tried to cancel but they require you to send in a cancellation request which is not typical for a SAAS service. I put in my request and they informed me I was to continue to pay for 90 days upon request to cancel. They continued to bill me for the 90 days after the request which was very unethical. When I asked about most SAAS companies allowing a 30 day notice, and with nothing specifying this on their main webpages, they then presented me with the fine print in their TOS that it's required to continue to pay for 90 days after the cancellation request. I told them I would be happy to pay for the 30 days but not 90 so they threatened to turn my account over to their legal team and used threatening tactics to get the remaining 60 days. After many back and forth threatening emails I finally decided to just pay the unpaid invoices just to get them off my back. This company has very unethical practices and I wish I would have read other user reviews with the same issues. Stay far away from them.

Very easy to use and some great features available

Commenti: Great product that is very easy to implement, setup, add monitors. Hassle free and easy to use.

We use uptrends to monitor our live API endpoints as well as websites. With the website monitoring you can add various levels of monitoring where it can login and test certain aspects of your website to make sure all is OK. Very Handy. It notifies us immediately if we have any issues which is essential for ourselves and our customers.

UX is a bit dated but since it works great I don't mind this much.

Beware of Predatory Licensing

Commenti: Was great until I needed to cancel. I wouldn't use them again just because of their business practices.

The monitoring and alerting features worked well and did what they promised. The UI is not the most intuitive, but it works once you get past that.

Aspetti negativi:

The company relies on abusive licensing terms to retain customers with a ridiculous policy that says you have to pay for 3 months of service after you tell them you want to cancel. They won't issue a waiver on this.A company confident in their tool should encourage retention through a great product and customer service, not using the fine print in their license agreement to lock you in.

Quick start and ease of use

Commenti: We use it everyday. For best performance you should plan to check and change the test objects at least one a month.

The different categories of testobjects require different credits. That makes it hard to switch from one to the other without calling support and ask for a change.

I like that we can have visibility of how our websites and services perform from different checkpoints around the globe, easy to setup with great user support. We get alot of info specially from transaction monitors, we can understand if the problem is on the frontend, backend and get screenshots of the events and waterfall metrics. Also specific teams can be notified for specific monitors, works great.

Can't think of any cons, it works as expected and does the intended job. So far we didn't have a use case we could be missing on this tool

Commenti: Very positive overall experience. The software is comprehensive and a good value for the cost. The support team at Uptrends is amazing in that they take the time to help non-technical people understand the monitoring, reporting and business and technical implications.

The comprehensive nature of monitoring and reporting. The dashboard is simple and clearly highlights any issues that require immediate attention, vs things that could be improved but are not immediate in nature. The waterfall report visually highlights opportunities for improvement.

Aspetti negativi:

Over the course of two years use of the software, we have not identified any opportunities for improvement. In fact, we have experienced upgrades in the software the improved the usability.

Commenti: Experience is great - the support is really helpful and very quick to respond which is really valuable.

Setting up the software is really easy. We'd previously come from Pingdom which was really difficult to setup and support was limited. Within this software is an easy to use recorder so you don't really need any technical knowledge to setup. You can then send to the support team who will check it for you and you get real value from them!

Overall we're incredibly satisfied with the product and wouldn't really change anything.

Great product and fantastic service

Commenti: We've been able to get better visibility and transparency of performance and status of all our products plus very easily share this to a wider team. I don't think we've had any bugs or issues with the product so that is a plus.

It is easy to use, fast to learn, and customer support is probably among the best of any software company I've ever dealt with.

Troubleshooting the monitors during setup can be tricky, but support is usually able to help with fixes or suggestions pretty quickly.

Great for API monitoring

Commenti: We use uptrends mainly for API monitoring, and it is a great product for that use case. It is very easy to monitor APIs, from simple to complex, even when you have to make multiple API calls in sequence that rely on each other's responses.
