A powerful photo editor with a great potential
Commenti: My overall experience with Affinity Photo is very positive. I really like the one-off payment option. It's a cheap and powerful photo editor but there's still room for a lot of improvements.
Aspetti positivi:
Affinity Photo has a clean user interface. It's also relatively lightweight and has many powerful features such us raw file editing, multi platform support, customizable interface and many more.
Aspetti negativi:
I wish there was a better tool for handling shadows, vignettes and bokeh effects.
Alternative considerate:
Powerful software without subscription
Commenti: I use Affinity Photo a lot for developing raw images, creating images and refining images. It is a fast and powerful software that can do almost everything. Only generative AI tools are missing.
Aspetti positivi:
Extremely powerful program for photo editing. Almost everything can be done with Affinity Photo. Real competitor to Adobe Photoshop. One-time payment has big advantages over subscription model.
Aspetti negativi:
Generative AI tools of Adobe Photoshop are very helpful. Sadly, Affinity Photo does not offer any of these. Inpainting brush is slightly worse than Photoshop. Adobe Lightroom capabilities would be nice as well.
Cheap and effective solution to editing RAW and PSD files
Commenti: Had a great experience with Affinity I still use it from time to time for my marketing graphics for my car dealership. Definitely one of my favorite tools in my toolbox.
Aspetti positivi:
As stated in the title it is a cheap and effective way to edit RAW and PSD files on the go without paying for adobes monthly subscription fees. I like how it is customizable toolbars and you can setup shortcuts to hop to features you need to us. It runs very smooth on my desktop and laptop with mid-grade specs.
Aspetti negativi:
I feel some of the features are a bit outdated compared to photoshop, it takes a bit longer to do the same thing I could do in gimp/adobe.
Powerful and Affordable Photo Editing for Professionals
Commenti: Overall, Affinity Photo is a fantastic, professional-grade photo editor that meets the needs of most designers and photographers. It’s a powerful, budget-friendly alternative for those who want high-quality results without recurring fees.
Aspetti positivi:
Affinity Photo has been an amazing addition to my digital toolkit for creating genealogy templates and family history projects. It offers nearly everything you’d expect from Photoshop but with a much more affordable one-time purchase, which is ideal for small business owners like myself who want professional tools without monthly fees. Affinity Photo excels in handling complex edits and photo manipulations, with tools for retouching, advanced layering, and masking. The interface is intuitive, especially for anyone familiar with Adobe, and it integrates seamlessly with Affinity Publisher, which is a huge plus for my projects. The performance is consistently fast and smooth, even with high-resolution images.
Aspetti negativi:
While Affinity Photo covers most needs, a few niche features like automatic plugins aren’t as extensive as Photoshop’s, so there can be some limitations if you rely heavily on specific plugins.
Complete and very affordable
Commenti: I enjoy using Affinity Photo and Affinity designer, both are great alternatives to Photoshop and Illustrator. Even if Affinity Photo is not perfect, the pricing remains its most attractive quality. The tools are not perfect and there is a learning curve if you come from Photoshop but Serif is doing a great job and their Workbooks are a great starting point to learn the rope. I highly recommend buying it as we never know prices might go up some day.
Aspetti positivi:
- Amazing value, the pricing is really low if you consider the features that are packed. - Great alternative to Photoshop - Many tools and file support formats
Aspetti negativi:
- The project file formats are Affinity file formats, I understand some file formats are proprietary but it make sharing a project file complicated it you do not own Affinity Photo. - The interface sometimes gets slow and noticed a lot of CPU usage, not sure if it is my old Macbook or bad coding. I know that softwares are usually optimized for latest computers but feel Affinity is a bit memory hogging.
Affinty Photo gives Photoshop a run for it's money
Commenti: It is very good, with timely updates and I'm able to my get my work done just like when I had Photoshop.
Aspetti positivi:
I like that it's like Photoshop but half the price and it has a perpetual license.
Aspetti negativi:
I was a little bummed it doesn't have a filter library, but it's not that bad that I wouldn't recommend it.
Image in that.
Commenti: It's great. I've had no problems doing simple and complex image editing and manipulation tasks.
Aspetti positivi:
It's fully featured and is a one-off purchase. It's great that you can also open Affinity Designer files in it too and vice versa.
Aspetti negativi:
Haven't come across anything that I don't like about it yet.
Ditch PS. Affinity is what you need.
Aspetti positivi:
First, price point wins all day long. Not only are you not having to remortgage your house, the program is so much more user friendly, so easy to download and set up, free stock, no need to sign up for 44 different things. Affinity is everything PS wants to be.
Aspetti negativi:
The odd time, you have to dig for a feature that's front of eye in other programs. Key commands are sometimes a bit different
Affinity Photo is a great alternative to Photoshop
Aspetti positivi:
Price is the initial driver to move to Affinity photo. It offers all the facilities of a top end photo manipulation software package without the price. It does everything I need.
Aspetti negativi:
Coming from Photoshop the learning curve to do certain things was the biggest hurdle, but not insurmountable. I do miss some of the enhancements of photoshop, but as I rarely used them all, I found other ways to achieve the same effect. Think photoshop in the 90's!

A good alternative to photoshop
Commenti: Nevertheless, I love affinity photo, I use it daily and I've learned to work with its problems. It's an affordable piece of software, and since version 2, it's been offering some particularly interesting features. It doesn't yet compete with Adobe Photoshop, but it's getting closer.
Aspetti positivi:
Affinity photo's interface is quick and easy to learn. The business model is interesting, with a one-time payment system (no subscriptions). It includes many of the same functions as Photoshop, making it suitable for a wide range of users.
Aspetti negativi:
On the other hand, Affinity isn't perfect: it's not optimized for Windows, and lags and bugs are common, even on powerful computers. Another particularly disconcerting point is its layer management, which is totally at odds with the competition. For example, there is no notion of a locked layer, which can prove problematic.
A Capable, Cheap, And Easy-To-Use Alternative To Photoshop
Commenti: I use Affinity Photo for basic image editing purposes but I still have to switch back to Photoshop when I need more advanced features. I'm hoping that Affinity will get better with each update because I like the ease of use compared to Photoshop.
Aspetti positivi:
I like experimenting with the procedural texture filter in Affinity Photo. With this filter, you can come up with pretty interesting results. I also like the fact that you can do most basic image editing work without the need for Photoshop.
Aspetti negativi:
Affinity Photo is totally sufficient for basic image editing but I wish it had AI-backed masking options like Photoshop too. I also need Photoshop for making textures still. I wish they were mostly doable in Affinity Photo, too.
Affinity photo overview
Commenti: Overall its an excellent photo editing tool that I use daily.
Aspetti positivi:
The app totaly integrates with the M1 chip power and the editing tools are way more precise than Photoshops.
Aspetti negativi:
It can be little tricky in the begining until you learn all the tools.
Great Low Cost Photo Editing Software
Aspetti positivi:
It has the major functionality and features of Photoshop at an affordable price. It runs efficiently without using a lot of RAM. It has a user friendly interface.
Aspetti negativi:
The learning curve is not as low as I expected it to be. I had to purchase a separate Affinity Photo for Windows and Mac.
My favourite program
Aspetti positivi:
Excellent, I like it. Easy to use, clear.
Aspetti negativi:
Nothing, It is my favourite program for photos
Effective app, but hard to learn
Commenti: I found it extremely powerful, but also complicated. 20+ years ago we had to use fancy apps since there was nothing else. Now, for simple tasks, like clearing skin and adjusting brightness you can use free photo editor on your smartphone. However, if you wish to dwell into advanced features, this is a great app, and well worth the cost. Wife and I are planning to use it more in a near future.
Aspetti positivi:
It lot of functionality. You can it as beginner, intermediary, and expert. We are able to greatly enhance our photos by simple features, such us - minimize pixilation, adjust brightness, remove objects, layer manipulation. Layout is customizable. Unlike several similar aps it has several "Persona buttons". You can chose Photo persona (basics described above), Liquidity persona (liquid effect like style editing), Develop persona, and few more.
Aspetti negativi:
Without tutorials its very hard to understand. Its not one of those aps you can explore and discover by using.

BEST PRICE, Quality and Ease of Use!
Commenti: I bought this because I was working on a project that needed CMYK and it was taking a few months. The monthly cost of Adobe was annoying. Some months I wasn't even opening the program. Additionally, when I did open it I would need to wait (and wait and wait) for updates. When I purchased Affinity it was a one-time cost and I still get the updates (which have been less frequent). Additionally, I had a hard time learning Adobe. I've used GIMP for about 15 years and the only reason I needed Adobe was for the CMYK exported files. Adobe was complicated for me to learn even with a lot of instructions and tutorials over a few months. I was able to quickly learn how to use Affinity the tutorials are succinct and the software is brilliant!
Aspetti positivi:
Price: A One-Time Price (instead of a monthly subscription). CYMK: This is a required color mode for most professional printing. The settings are simple and the output is gorgeous! Ease of use: Much easier than Adobe to learn and to use. Multiple app options (I am using windows desktop) and multiple languages!
Aspetti negativi:
Three Platforms: The primary CON is there are three software programs (Photo, Publisher, and Designer) from this company that are each sold and used separately. The good thing is, now we can toggle between them, seemingly on the fly making it easier to use different features on the same artwork. But, they are still stand-alone when it comes to updates, so each program will need to be updated individually, be sure to update each one when they have updates to download and install.

A photo editor worth the try... because you'll stay
Commenti:
I came from Photoshop to Affinity and loved it. I use this everyday to give my clients great products like online ads, photo retouches, photo editing, compositions... wow... all
And the digital drawing is such a big feature for me that I can create smooth lines at ease.
Aspetti positivi:
The price. It's inexpensive compared to Photoshop. But not only that, it's set of tools are top-level and give you all the fluidity and smoothness when working with photos that you won't miss Photoshop. And not only for photos but for graphic design as well, it lets you create Instagram ads or a cover for a document. I also use Affinity Photo for sketching and drawing, I bought a set of tools and I've been using this for hand drawings for a book, great results.
Aspetti negativi:
Affinity is slowly getting it's hype. So, while we get there, you'll find that there are brushes and plugins for Photoshop all over the internet but not for Affinity Photo. So... we need to wait a bit.

All in one photo editing and great alternative to other industry leader app.
Commenti: Works with raster and vector images. Layer editing, Strong brush selection and customization for drawing and painting. Affinity Photo is well worth the price!
Aspetti positivi:
Create new graphic images, as well as create SVG, EPS, PSD files. You can import from standard programs, such as Adobe, CSP.. . Have a huge range of export options.
Aspetti negativi:
Not much, would be nice if more free additional resources like brushes, assets.
Affinity photo review
Commenti: This software learn children played and used and because the interface was to learn and worked
Aspetti positivi:
Photoshop is alternative to this software and affordable to its functionality, as it works great on my computer.
Aspetti negativi:
From this software I didn't have any image organization tools and I really would like more options.
