Commenti: Overall, our experience has been a Successful one. We have been her for 10 years now so that in and of itself speaks volumes. We have been able to grow, change leadership, and even weather a pandemic without passing those struggles on to our customers.

Aspetti positivi:

Specialized modules for Memberships. Other products we have looked at seem to treat memberships like activities and they function quite differently too. The Connect App for Camp and Child Watch. It has been an amazing tool that has allowed staff to be more mobile both geographical with remote sites for camps and within their workspaces by untethering with the tablet.

Aspetti negativi:

Pricing, every new development is an additional cost. Support Hours of Availability, we are on the west side of the country and as a result our facilities are open hours after support closes. Reports are a constant struggle. Canned reports only return about 70-80% of what we need. We either end up pulling multiple reports and piecing them together in Excel or I end up trying to build custom reports in insights (even though not all the data points are available there either) to pull the data we need. The I have to go and make sure that all users who need it are able to access it.

If Only There Were ZERO Stars

Commenti: This might be the least user-friendly software I've ever used. In 20 years of tracing inventory, POS and events, I've never seen anything worse.

Our homeowners can register for events and purchase tickets.

Aspetti negativi:

Literally everything else. No one has ever been able to properly explain the pricing structure. I am unable to run registration reports and no one can help us troubleshoot. The customer service department is terrible (long wait times, ineffective and zero follow up). And the member interface/search engine is horrible.

Comprehensive but complicated

Commenti: ActiveNet can be a good tool for parks and recreation. It has comprehensive features and functions that fit an agency's needs. But the customization is limited and the learning curve is challenging. Plus, the complexity of the user interface and managing data prevents users from fully using all the features.

A lot of features. Online registration is convenient. Converting all programs to InDesign for marketing is easy. Customer service is very responsive.

Aspetti negativi:

ActiveNet is an old platform and its user interface looks like early 2000s and is complicated. The data management is difficult. There are too many settings and parameters for pulling a report. Some reports are in tabular format Excel but many are not, especially revenue reports, which are impossible to be integrated into other financial or data management. To learn a specific function of ActiveNet is not difficult, but the learning curve to use ActiveNet effectively is challenging. Customization is limited, we often need to adjust our programs or facilities to fit the modules.

Does the job

Their customer support is very helpful. Most of the basic functionality is there and does the job.

Aspetti negativi:

Doesn't allow for much customization on website or customization within. And if you can it is not easy to find. There are solutions but require us to often to reach out to Activenet support. Would love to see this be more user friendly. Would love to see a more customizable URL that can be given to customers for example www.fernierecreation.ca rather than this long URL that is not user friendly.

Great Basic Registration System

Great for basic class registration and membership tracking.

Aspetti negativi:

Certain reports are harder to pull up/find than others, and are not clear. Too many functions/buttons for certain categories. Scholarships get overrided when making changes to a schedule. Not easy for a low-to-average computer user.

Lots of features, lots of learning

Commenti: Overall our experience has been pretty good. I still prefer it to the previous recreation registration software we used. Billing has been a frustrating process, with much miscommunication.

ActiveNet is very versatile in that there are many things you can do with it.

Aspetti negativi:

The set-up and often use of it isn't always intuitive. Any time we want to implement something new within it we have to dedicate a lot of time for learning, set-up and training of staff on it.

ActiveNet was the solution for us!

Commenti: This has been the easiest to use event software I've ever encountered, and it has been critical to our success in the Facility Events department. While there a few features it lacks, it backs those up with one of the best calendar systems I have experienced along with robust reporting capabilities.

The calendar is very well designed, enabling users to view space availability in separate calendars and incorporate crucial information like setup time, attendance, type of event, etc.

We wish there was a timeline or event detailing feature that allowed us to go more in depth with the various event logistics.

I like how much information it is able to gather from participants and the features like scheduled reporting. I like having the option to export in different file types as that makes my work easier. I like the look on the customer side - it's clean and modern I also like the ability to work through things in the sandbox.

I don't like the look of the back-end site. It feels dated and overly complication.

Commenti: Average experience but feel it can be improved tremendously since it has so much utilization in large organizations.

Outdated interface on the backend. Tens of thousands of ways to pull info which can be chaotic on referencing numbers for reporting.

They are active in implementing new features that help out the end user which in turns helps us. New updates consistently that run smoothly like they didn't even happen.

No Color codes. Kind of bland in that aspect. Just dull on the eyes.

Activenet is powerful & adaptive but not for the tech savvy

Commenti: Overall, we like Activenet because it keeps us organized and gets our company off a paper and pen system.

Activenet is a powerful educational programming software tool. It is highly adaptable for all kinds of programs and faculties for both private lessons and group programs. It makes managing inventory, staff contact lists, sign-ins, program lists, registration fairly easily.

Aspetti negativi:

Activenet is a very large learning curve for new staff. It is hard to train to new staff and requires a lead staff who can oversee its evergrowing functionality. Being on Internet Explorer also has it's quirks and can make using it on different types of computers problematic. The program is expensive and sometimes you cant adapt certain functionality to your needs. Their development team rarely follows through on making customized improvements to suit your companies needs. Some of the features are out of date & do need updating shortly to maintain a competitive edge for the future.

ActiveNet - Municipal Recreation

Commenti: Experience has been very positive. Implementation was a lengthy process, but we had excellent support to get it done. We use it for memberships, POS, facility booking and program registration and camps. Reports are excellent.

The registration system for camps is excellent. Online registrations is great and easy to use.

Aspetti negativi:

Facility booking was very difficult to use and not user friendly. ActiveNet listens to their customers though, and they have created a new one that is much improved. Still some glitches, but getting better.

What I like most about this software is that it takes care of everything my business needs. There's nothing lacking. And once I learned the basics, learning how to search or change something is pretty easy. I can figure things out without being "trained" by a more experienced co-worker or user.

Sometimes the software can be a little convoluted. Trying to change something proved difficult at times.

Commenti: From a customer service perspective the team at Active is working with us to address the issues identified as cons. The objective is that the end user experience on the back end is congruent with the end user experience on the front end.

The business intelligence dashboard is quite robust and provides us with real time data and trends that we are able to act upon.

Aspetti negativi:

The member interface is not user friendly. It is not intuitive and takes the user down virtual rabbit holes that seem to meander without any destination or logic which is quite frustrating and not a good experience.

We have used several different management systems and finally found one we can settle down with. The staff have been easy to work with and go out of their way to assist with any issue we have needed. Set up was relatively easy considering the functionality of the software.

Although the Active program is so all encompassing it can be a struggle learning the system to get the most out of it that we expect.
