Our HVAC company implemented ServiceBox, due to the features offered, but mainly because of the customer service. I naturally expected that once we signed up the help would fade away, but that was not the case whatsoever. The team at ServiceBox work hard, and are diligent at following up with a call, email or text within a very short amount of time, if not immediately. It is obvious that they work well together, as they each have their own assets they bring to the table. In addition, ServiceBox is flexible and customizable, with a clean, easy to view and understand the User Interface.

No Application as of yet. Once the application is finished, it will be a top notch program for sure.

Commenti: It seems to be very reliable. Customers can read there invoice well. You are able to put lots of information in various areas that you may need for future.

It's easy to use and clear. You are able to put in a lot of information both on the back end and for the customer.

Pricing. It would be nice to have an up to date pricing. It remembers some prices, but it seems it remembers the wrong ones.

I spoke to our customer success team about the pricing issue, and they said it would be good to go over your settings with one of our experts. Changing the prices of items, either in inventory, or as a materials add-on to the invoice, should be a fairly simple procedure for anyone with the correct permissions, and those changes will definitely stick. Please submit a ticket using the "help" button on your SB desktop, and if you like, ask specifically for Scott, who I also spoke with today. We would love to help you resolve this.

As you add time to work orders automatically creates your timesheet.

You can’t look back at workorders that have been invoiced as a tech it’s nice to look back to see what has been done previously. You can look at work notes in history tab for previous work orders but be nice to see the actual old work order.

Technical support. Everything is online thus causing much downtime when an issue arises. Scheduling takes way more time than it should. There is no audit trail captured.

Hi Desiree. Thank you very much for taking the time to review us. In terms of technical support, it’s true we have a full menu of online videos and articles people can consult, but we also have a Help button on the UI that puts you in contact with a living, breathing human being. Have you tried using that button to create a support ticket? Generally a person will respond to you within 24 hours. In regards to scheduling, the desktop version of ServiceBox contains a suite of scheduling views and options, including a drag and drop feature that allows you to schedule and dispatch dozens of employees per minute. Conversely, the mobile app was developed for the technicians receiving those dispatch notices, and doesn’t contain that same suite of services. So if you’re scheduling from the mobile app, you may want to switch to an iPad and use the more agile desktop version.

We have been using Service Box for 2-1/2 years now. The flow from quotes to work orders to now purchasing to Invoicing is smooth. Love being able to use the Copy feature.

Some reports that would benefit us are not offered. We tried to Import our Inventory from an Excel spreadsheet that Service Box can't accept.

We definitely do import Inventory from Excel sheets, so I strongly suggest you use the "Help" button on your ServiceBox desktop to submit a support ticket, because it may be a simple fix to get you on your way. Also, I'm sorry we don't offer the reports you're looking for...if you haven't already, try requesting the exact report you want on our Feature Request page, as our developers add small bits and pieces to the software all the time based on customer suggestions. Why when I first open the app it takes me to alerts page? Everytime I go on the app I have to the web I don’t use the alerts page waste of time. Way to many options and buttons are much small, don’t get me wrong options are great but I don’t use very many and buttons are so small I accidentally hit the wrong buttons, more time wasted.

Hi Justin. Thanks for leaving the review. The good news is that there will be a redevelopment of our app that includes an offline version, though sadly there are other programming priorities and the new app won't be happening right away. I talked with one of our developers today and asked about the Alerts page being the default homepage, because in our desktop you can choose which page serves as your homepage. Some prefer the scheduler, some prefer the work order list, etc. She confirmed that you're right...Alerts is the current default homepage in the mobile app bc its the most commonly used. But she agreed that in the future remodel of the app it will make sense to give users the same freedom they currently enjoy with the desktop version. I can't guarantee the buttons will get bigger, because we have to have more options available in order to be the type of software people turn to when Jobber fails them. But changing layout is an option and thanks for getting us thinking about it.

the scheduling for multiple technicians and adjusting on the fly as required.

not great for businesses that have retail & service type sales - having to create a work order for an over the counter sale takes time while the customer is waiting.

Hi Claudette. You're right that ServiceBox isn't designed as a point-of-sale software...we're a CRM for scheduling, tracking and invoicing new work. We connect well to accounting programs for easy transfer, but we're not a standalone accounting software ourselves...our invoices are always attached to a work order. Having said that, it's an interesting ask to create a standalone invoice option for point-of-sale purchases, where companies are already using our product for other things. I see how that could benefit you. I believe our customer success specialist has spoken with you about this (or so I'm told) and I encourage you to add this idea to our Feature Request page if you haven't already. Great software addition to our workflow. Even better customer service
Commenti: We have streamlined out workflow significantly in introducing ServiceBox. We were able to eliminate a full-time job that we would have needed to find a replacement as well as limit the work done on a daily basis by the dispatcher and the individual technicians.

Adding this software into our workflow was game changer. The most important reason we went to ServiceBox was because they seamlessly integrated with SAGE50 Canada. Another important quality of the software - the Customer support is AMAZING. Any time I've had an issue or wishing to see improvement, they've listened and made changes when appropriate and in a timely manner.
Aspetti negativi:
Their app needs a bit of improvement in the speed and ease of getting to the "meat" of the app. It's still easy to use but there's a bit of lag when opening the app and getting into the website.
Dealing with people at ServiceBox has been very good.

That it developed in Saskatchewan, Canada. Integrates with Canadian taxes, and when there is a question the support team understands the Canadian aspect, which almost non-existent for American developed products. We can track all the equipment on various sites and attach notes, pictures, and details as it pertains to each individual piece of equipment.
Aspetti negativi:
The check sheets that we developed are not as user friendly as we would like. This might be our own issue that we are not using the software as well as we could but though. Would like the maintenance scheduling for equipment to be a little more robust, would like to have manufactures check sheets built into the maintenance scheduling so that at certain times of the year different checks are done on that same piece of equipment. Would like to be able to have more than one pic for the identification of a piece of equipment but this might be a little over kill. In the "to-dos" I would like a date and stamp on each entry that is made. When i send a to-do and they reply it still only gives the original date that the to-do was created. I would like all replies tracked from the person that replied. On that same to-do i would like to be able to send the same to-do to more than one person, this does not happen very often but it would be handy to have this as an option. Would like to use it to it's full capabilities but that is not necessarily a con on ServiceBox but on me not using it to it's full capabilities.

The system is easy to use and super practical. Its a super great asset to have in your tool box ! the attachment feature is amazing and allows you to upload and store lots of information in the work orders .Robust system and we have lots of confidence in it .
Aspetti negativi:
The recurring work order feature doesn't necessarily work properly . If you are using an Iphone -you cant use the zoom feature for the scheduler . Works great with sage but costly -you are forced to upgrade the sage program yearly and drives the cost to operate the system up considerably The inventory feature also needs to be better . The system should allow you to create file folders for job sites .
User friendly and they were able to customize it to our needs
Commenti: Here are some reviews from our employees who use Service Box everyday; -Haven't had any issues. -Sb is easy to use, however, I think it would be easier if we had more search options. For example, I would like to search for WOs that have attachments, Also, even being on a desktop computer, I feel that its slow at times, it only crashes every now and again but that may not be services box as opposed to the internet crashing. Lastly, for the purposes of deleting unused WOs, it would be nice if I could check multiple ones before deleting them as opposed to deleting them one by one, it would save some time. Overall, I don't think the program is bad, it just needs some adjustments. -I enjoy using SB, it's always been really easy & convenient to use for me. More helpful for me to describe any issues on a WO than writing it on a bench sheet. -It's easy to use. No problems at all -Always glitchy on phone app , very user friendly via computer/laptop - I feel pretty good with service box except where sometimes it won't register when I hit check in on a work order. For example I will check in at 7 am then when I go to check out at 9 am it will say I never checked in. Other than that I like it! -Service box works fine for me. I haven't had too many issues. Occasionally, load times will be long, but that about the worst experience I've had with it. -I like how it's working so far. The only thing I don't car for is when I open service box it always pops up to a work order from 10/12/16. But other than that it's working good. -Haven't had any issues -It's been a helpful tool -Haven't had many issues, sometimes it lags but that's about it, I give it an 8 out of 10 -I don't like how service box rounds the time incorrectly even though it has been mentioned multiple times, other than that I feel it is a very helpful tool for the company.

Commenti: Overall everything has been great! Whenever I need assistance I receive a speedy response and there are so many helpful articles at your fingertips. I love how much ServiceBox has taken us away from paper and notes scattered everywhere to one place where everything can be documented.

Great software for small service business
Commenti: We love the product, it has helped move our business to the next level. We are able to invoice our customers faster as our technicians can close the job onsite. We know where our technicians are and we are able to dispatch more efficiently.
Aspetti positivi:
On big plus is eNtering each service as they are called in, tracking. It has made our business more efficient. As well it is easier to look up past jobs and determine best course of action with notes and pictures attached. It is excellent that it links to our accounting software so seamlessly which is another great feature.
Aspetti negativi:
The software is great, I guess if I have a comment I would like to see a bit more interaction on the site such as when you hover the mouse over an icon i would like It to tell the user what that icon does.

Amazing system!
Commenti: Our business has grown over the past few years and we were finding it hard to keep our customer records organized, and were falling behind on sales. We searched for weeks for a CRM / Service Industry type software solution and once we came upon Service Box, we knew this was the fit for our business. Since implementing it in our business, our sales and admin team have saved countless hours of time thanks to Service Box.

Organization of customers, contacts, invoices, quotes, etc. All the customer's information is in one spot, and there is a full history of your communications with them for easy future reference. The "To-do" feature is a great tool that can be tagged to a customer or a quote, which automates the follow-up process, allowing our sales team to land more jobs quicker!

There are actually a number of options to check whether a job posting has been finished or filled, you can go to your customer information and see all the past Work Orders, look up a previous Job number, or if you need to set yourself a reminder you can put it as a to-do task and have it scheduled on your scheduler. Great online dispatching and invoicing system

the main reason was the it linked with quickbooks. i now do not have to schedule jobs and then invoice. it is all done from one platform.
Aspetti negativi:
I have noticed that sometimes the system will lag/slow down. can be frustrating at times but it does not happen that much.

Great software for our small refrigeration company

I would like even greater customization of each users access to the different functions. It would be great if changes were saved without having to click on the green check mark.

It is great to use with the HVAC & Plumbing Business

I love how easy the program is to use, you can jump right into it without any training! Also I like how it is very customizable to the company so any company can make it their own.
Aspetti negativi:
The scheduler glitches sometimes, when changing the date or time (just moving things around) sometimes it will glitch and move to a different date or time, which can be very frustrating on those long days.
