It did what we needed it to do in terms of keeping our slide deck synced and updated. We have found the design library to be great and helped us create well designed slides.

I think the way it updates the slides and checks for updates is a bit confusing. It works when it works, but it is difficult to tell sometimes when it does not work.

There are several features that are critical for use in my company. The ease of searching for slides or documents where you need them most is first and foremost. The layout of bringing productivity tools and an easier agenda tool to the front make it a must have for slide creation.

Aspetti negativi:

We would love additional reporting so we can better our own library of material and see what our users are using most. This would help us train better if the content is there and they aren't finding it or focusing on content that is used most.

My favorite aspect of empower is its ability to hold "plug-and-play" slides in the Company Library for talking points that we regularly return to as we create new slide decks. This takes the burden off individuals to create something aesthetically compelling--AND it keeps us on-brand in terms of messaging/framing.

Aspetti negativi:

Certain folks on our team seem to have glitches with empower (either because of an update, or a change to permissions, or a mystery of the universe). Often a sync or a check-in with the very friendly and responsive empower staff resolves the issue, but due to our geographic distance (And subsequent time zone difference), it usually takes a day to resolve the issue.

Initially, there was no automatic translation feature included, but this has been added recently with DeepL translations which is super useful. So nothing that is not good or missing as of today.

Slide Management

Commenti: I just use empower in PowerPoint and it is well integrated in this standard app. And although we use Office 365 we had rarely any problems with any updates. Generally it saves us time in managing our slides and reduces the rate that we oversee changes.

empower has a lot of features. Most important for me is the slide management. We have a load of different slide decks for trainings with redundant slides. We are now able to store them in a database and when we update a slide, you can easily update the same slide in other slide decks, where the slide is included.

Aspetti negativi:

I would like to be able to update the whole slide but the title should be exempted (as the title would be better different, based on the flow of the slide deck). It would also be helpful to be able to disconnect a slide, when it was originally imported from the database, but changes have been made, which should be kept.

The library function is great as all colleagues have access to the same content and templates. With only a few clicks you have a selection of many icons, templates, slides, content - helps creating more professional slide decks.

I think AI features are missing. Comparable tools already have the ability to use AI generated content/templates which is very helpful and saves a lot of time and effort.

empower slide at the LMB Training Academy

Commenti: Thanks empower, our instructors download and give training course (powerpoint presentations) always up-to-date. Thanks empower the training course source (library) is only one. All the instructors download the training courses from one source only. Thanks empower, as soon as one "mother" slide as been updated, all training courses using this slide, are suddenly updated. Thanks empower the language management of our training courses is much better.

Desired feature: the Undo feature in the library management as well in the content management.

Aspetti negativi:

A bug I discovered sometimes. The slides updating procedure was sometimes wrong. The system inserted sometimes the slide from an other/wrong source. For example in a presentation in English, by the slide update procedure, it inserted slides from the French presentation.

Commenti: As a user, I have been using Empower for about 10 years in various industries. The continuous development has always inspired me. I am absolutely convinced of the tool and can only recommend it.
