Three years in with Toucantech and it just gets better and better
Commenti: For this review, I'd like instead to illustrate the answer to this question with how a specific problem was dealt with.Being new to using the fundraising module Toucantech was kind enough to "road test" what we had constructed to ensure it would work. This brought peace of mind.Then shortly afterwards, I felt confident to implement a further measure. This went horribly wrong. I was not sure if it was a problem with the software or something I had done.The team at Toucantech immediately responded to my urgent request for help. Following a 2-hour Zoom call, we worked out what I had done wrong, and Toucantech put it right so that it presented on the website as it was supposed to. (They were gracious enough to say that what I had done wrong could easily be done by other new users of their software, and so were going to improve the instructions for that part of the site.)At no time did I feel embarrassed for getting it wrong, and I was so grateful for their patience in putting things right as part and parcel of their normal, fantastic customer service.

I like that you get to know the staff at Toucantech; and that they get to know you as well. This means we all better understand how to deal with problems.
Aspetti negativi:
Although "glitches" appear in the software from time to time, even this "down arrow issue" is usually dealt with speedily and efficiently. I assume rival software also can have these problems, so I prefer to work on the basis that Toucantech resolves them more quickly than its rivals.

Commenti: Happy with Toucan Tech because it addresses a lot of the things we need in an alumni database. It allows us to store different types of information to help us get a better profile of our records. Staff are also helpful and responsive.

ToucanTech has been a gamechanger for us
Commenti: Our move to ToucanTech was easy, and the more you use it, the more you realise its overall capabilities.
Aspetti positivi:
It is an all-in-one system that we can use to engage further with our past students and donors. We transferred over 10,000 records, and each time we send an email out, our data gets cleaned up by people directly updating their details. The daily automated emails you can set up are great and the data stored is easy to access and report on. Their support team and the customer manager you are assigned are outstanding. They reply to your emails and are always available for a training session where required.
Aspetti negativi:
I don't really have any cons; the only two things I think that could be improved in time are; when setting up an email ready for sending, you cannot send yourself or others in your team a test email directly from the template and the other would be to be able to add more than one picture in a news article without setting up a gallery. However, these are minor when you look at all the advantages you gain from the overall ToucanTech system.
Impressive software allowing us to best harness our community
Commenti: I would characterise Toucan as having a very personal and tailored approach. They were the incumbent system when I joined, and having worked with them for over a year now, I have never had such a responsive and involved relationship with a software provider. They have delivered the changes and developments I wanted (as we moved to better utilise the power of their software) and the result has been a front and back end system I am delighted to work with. I am also confident in this strong working relationship being long term and continual improvements as a result.

Using Toucan it is very apparent that it has been thoughtfully developed as the fit-for-purpose tool to handle all aspect of community management. The back end database is allowing us to build and record a quality data set that will enable Brentwood School to continually improve communication, engagement, and fundraising in our wider school community ('Association'). Having this one stop hub makes our day to day easier as a Development team, but also offers convenience and consistency to those in our Association. Working with Toucan we are able to execute best practice through a well presented and user friendly system.

Toucan was built as a bespoke "all in one" system when they recognised many of the alternatives were slow moving or just repurposing more generic systems. This means they are still developing some integrations with third parties, but we have always found an option that works.

A great CMS product

An excellent, "one-stop shop" software for all your Development Office needs
Commenti: Toucan Tech were extremely helpful during the decision making and transition phase and since we began using the software have been incredibly supportive and taken any feedback on board and further developed the product. We now have over 300 members of our online community since we launched it 6 weeks ago and the numbers are climbing daily. Communications with alumni are simple to use and look fantastic. Record keeping is also easy and efficient. We are absolutely delighted with the product and very happy to recommend it.

Commenti: ToucanTech have been really helpful since we used the package. They went over and above to ensure the journey from start to finish was slick and easy. Their Helpdesk is invaluable - quick responses to every question.

The best thing about this software is the front page it gives and the ease of use for both administrators and members. It's super easy!

Sometimes there is not enough information about processes or how to change things, but a quick message to the Helpdesk normally resolves everything.
A real asset to our work
Commenti: Excellent across many years. In a previous capacity, I was an early adopter and have found the company superb to deal with right from sales and implementation through to support. Most recently I was happy to advise my school client that this would be the best solution.

Accessibility. You do not have to be a database or IT professional to use it. With the good training provided, most people will be able to do pretty everything they want or need to do.Support. Excellent, quick and helpful support for those jobs which you cannot do yourself.
Aspetti negativi:
Minor layout features which could perhaps change. Nothing important. It is good that if we have something we would really like changing it is immediately put into the system for review and if thought to be a good idea for all TT users then the change happens.
Best product and service in the alumni portal and fundraising business.

It's easy to love a great product, it's easier to love ToucanTech because in addition to the amazing product, they offer a second to none service. The team at ToucanTech met us every time we had a question, an issue, or simply wanted to discuss improvements to the platform.

There is really nothing that we do not like about the service or the product which is why we were one of the first international schools to jump on board and continue to be a loyal customer.
The return on investment is exceptional

As with most state schools every investment is carefully considered for return on investment and as an early adopter of Toucan Tech we are delighted with the added value it has given to our school Development and communication function. It enables us to create specific, targeted comms to specific community segments and to monitor the impact. Customer service is excellent.

Community Engagement - International School
Commenti: I can't think of anything since I was realistic about what I wanted and what it delivers.
Aspetti positivi:
As a new school (in our third year), building community is a priority. We needed a user-friendly tool to help us do this. It also needs to be GDPR compliant. Our parents are willing to give consent for their child's image to be posted on an internal community such as this one, which allows us to document/celebrate the many wonderful things happening at TASIS Portugal. They are also incredibly eager to connect with each other professionally and the business network allows this.

A Wonderful Environment

Parents are satisfied with the information they find on the community and we are grateful to offer that too.

- We are often complimented on the look and feel of our site, and how professional our newsletter emails look. It’s great to work on a platform that our community enjoys using.
- Our whole team are able to use the ToucanTech system as it is easy to operate; flexible, intuitive; and the support from TT has been great if there is ever a problem.
- Really easy to update records; capture lots of data about our community members and Manage our pipeline of donor prospects
- It certainly makes the Tonbridge Society programme very efficient

I have used a number of member databases with online portals in my time in alumni relations and by a long stretch, Toucan Tech is the most intuitive and easy to use. It looks lovely with all the different colours and is clear and not overly complicated. If you can't figure something out initially , there is a brilliant list of resources on their support website. When we have had the odd further complication, the support team have worked through the problem with us on the phone until it is solved. The system really allows the administrator to feel like they have both ownership of and a brilliant overview of their data. Our alumni seem to find the online portal and interactive features easy to use and appealing aesthetically. When we have fedback to the support team that we would like a certain feature included, they have responded positively and actioned this when they can.
Aspetti negativi:
There honestly isn't much to criticise! Small gripes are currently the list of member records does not come up with the most recenty viewed first, which I have found a useful feature in previous systems for instance if you working through a load of data entry. When you are embedding a video in a news article, you have to have a static image at the top of the page (and the video link beneath) whereas due to social media and Youtube users now expect to be able to click on the image and go straight into a video playing. That's about it!

Commenti: Overall, our experience with ToucanTech has been incredibly positive. They are receptive to feedback, and welcome suggestions on how to improve their product and implement them where possible. They are happy to work with their customers on the development of their software to ensure it meets their needs. In terms of support, ToucanTech are always respond quickly to support requests and can normally resolve problems very quickly.

ToucanTech is an incredibly user friendly piece of software and it's very easy to build the online portal. The features we use the most are the mass email function, the events page, the online shop and the news section. Recently we've launched a second online portal for a different section of our community that can all be managed from the same database.
Aspetti negativi:
There isn't a feature of Toucan that I would say I like the least. We were early customers of ToucanTech and the features and functionality that have been developed since we first used the software have only improved what was already a very good product.
