Antivirus consigliatissimo, efficace e soprattutto leggero e non intacca altri software, intuitivo e facile di utilizzo.

Aspetti negativi:

A volte chiede riavvio per installare aggiornamenti.

Si easy to mantain and implement, intuitive installation process

Aspetti negativi:

The application consumes many cpu and memory sometimes, for which the device becomes very slow

Commenti: Best threat intelligence network. It is worth trying.

Aspetti positivi:

Being able to realize legitimate account names on the system and avoid malicious activities is a major step. The protection technology in place is diverse and trustworthy. Very unique and user friendly too.

Aspetti negativi:

Does not have Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) which is a drawback. It comes at a cost.

Time to move on and use something better than Symantec

Commenti: Overall, I would caution people from using this product. There are other competitors with much more robust technologies for roughly the same price.

Aspetti positivi:

Able to update the Endpoint without an active internet connection. Comes with lots of features that can be activated/deactivated manually

Aspetti negativi:

False positive. Could be challenging to convince customers to renew license since definitions can be updated without valid license.

Symantec End-Point Security

Commenti: We were very satisfied with it once it was moved to a cloud based offering as opposed to an on-site server base. But once purchased by Broadcom, the changes in how it had to be renewed thru a reseller and the growing complexity of it, forced us to switch.

Aspetti positivi:

Highly Configurable, thus allowing rules to be added for exceptions or exclusions to programs that we needed to trust.

Aspetti negativi:

Became extremely complex and harder to renew once purchased by Broadcom several years back.

A good product to consider

Commenti: A good program to keep your computer protected, it does not slow the performance and seems to be more compatible with older systems than other brands. You can schedule the scans, and thethe various options about protection; suggest to lock the settings (the user cannot change them).

Aspetti positivi:

I install and use Symantec Endpoint Security on those computers that become too slow or start crashing when I install other antivirus brands. In fact i have to say that Symantec Endpoint Security does not slow your computer while protecting it and scanning for threats. The interface may look a bit old but it has all the features required, plus it is easy to manage. I use it both on servers and clients.

Scanning task keep on "amassing" on my desktop, they don't close automatically

Not very strong at reporting and I swear I feel like my computer gets laggy

Symantec EDR

Commenti: The overall experience from the symantec edr is more than two years that i defend my hundreds computer's and servers and its very good product and very easy to use

I like that its have also proxi defender and web isolation all in one. And the ui ux of the monitor is very easy to understand the statuses

Aspetti negativi:

It was better if i have also in the monitor able to bring logs from other apps that i have allredey in our organisation

Protection at the best for emdpoint

Aspetti positivi:

-ease of agent installation -android ios installation -firewall policy -continous live update -integration with 3rd party is easier

-on prem sep is much more ease to use when compare to cloud

Symantec Endpoint Security was my go to for a very long time.

Aspetti positivi:

I love all the extra security options and the fact that it keeps all my computer components clean and up to date.

Aspetti negativi:

I DO NOT like how it bogs down your computer when the subscription has run out. My computer is unusable unless I completely uninstall which can take hours since it slows the whole computer or renew.

I used daily Symantec Endpoint Security. It works well. It automatically detects viruses and malfunctions. It protects my personal computer.

Still not found nothing. It is doing well.

Commenti: It is the best endpoint solution that can exist, it helps us protect our system from the large number of threats that endanger our business information, the neutralization of threats is fast and without detection of false positives. It is a protection system that transmits a great power of virus detection from the first moment of use. The possibilities when using Symantec Endpoint Security are endless.

I like that the scanning system is easy to use, the detection of different viruses is possible thanks to the fact that it is an automatic analysis system, the navigation is intuitive and very easy to understand, it does not consume a lot of ram, it integrates with our entire environment of IT and protects our information at all times.

Aspetti negativi:

We have not found problems that have interfered or let viruses in, the protection is very genuine and gives us a lot of confidence. It is a protection system that every company should have.

An end to end security system

Commenti: Symantec endpoint security provides a comprehensive control over your applications and systems. It acts as a final layer of control which prevents your systems from cyber attacks and helps you keep your sensitive data protected. It not only detects threats on a real time basis but also provides a preventative control around the issues.

Aspetti positivi:

Symantec endpoint security like the name suggests is the final layer of security which secures our applications and business systems. My personal best feature is it's two factor authentication which secures my access on cloud with an approval from my registered mobile device. So, even if someone tries to break into my cloud server, it will not be possible for them to access because of this two factor authentication.

Aspetti negativi:

One of the areas where I personally struggled is setting it up in my mobile for the first time. I had to literally reach out to my IT desk and have them fixed before I could start using the tool in my cell phone.

Still too heavy for my computers

Commenti: Overall it has an improved user interface and all, but it is heavy and it doesn't provide in my opinion, the protection I need

I've been testing the new versions and even though it has improved a lot, it has a lot way to go to become my main antivirus and endpoint protection

It's HEAVY and sometimes it shows false positives with applications that have had ZERO problems with other security programs. That presents a problem because I don't want to have my files quarantined without any reason

Commenti: The benefit i get from using Symantec is the peace of mind knowing my personal data is secure at all times, customer support is always ready to help whenever needed; Moreover, Symantec even scans any application that i download from the web, and makes it sure that is it safe before executing the install, that is a huge plus for me.

Aspetti positivi:

Symantec does a great job in terms of blocking viruses, malware, spyware, ads, and it is fast. I use it daily on my PC and as well as at my workplace. The security updates download automatically and daily in the background without bugging the user, I can scan a particular file or directory, i can schedule a scan anytime of my preference, also if a new updates has been installed and if it requires me to reboot my pc, i can choose a later time to perform that task Symantec is great in terms of security, i have a peace of mind when i use Symantec knowing i am safe when browsing the web. Next feature, is the quick customer support, Symantec customers reps are always available at any given time.

Aspetti negativi:

One of the downside of using Symantec is that it takes up a lot of system memory since the applications is always running in background. My RAM space on my PC is 8GB, when Symantec is running in the background it takes up-to 35-45 percent of my RAM, which then i do not have much left of to work with.

Commenti: We are working in a health care sector which resides lot of critical and personal data. Data security is our main concern, Symantec endpoint protection provides us with the end to end security of files and customer data. it is installed in all the employees laptop and installation an configuration is easy, Automatic updates makes life simpler. The end user doesn't have impact on the scans being run on the system, occasional rebooting of system is required when any updated are done to the system. Overall a very good antivirus and Malware detection and kill software used in most of the high level corporate companies.

1. Compatible with all versions of Windows and Mac OS. 2. We use the cloud version of the software,Email notifications and logs about malware and virus detection are cool features. 3. Updates are automatic, we used to do it manually . 4. Build in firewall function is very effective as we get data from many sources. 5. Scans are even done on the applications being downloaded from web which ensures 100% safety. 6. Easy to scale up ad down based on the number of devices. 7. Proactive threat protection option is very useful. 8. The weekly and monthly scan reports can be scheduled and automated and the logs are very descriptive. 9. The interaction with the end user is very minimal and doesn't create any pop ups unnecessarily.

Aspetti negativi:

1. Annual renewal fee is little higher compared to other vendors. 2. Around 30 to 40% of the CPU resources are consumed during the scan process. 3.The laptop becomes slow while accessing files and data.
