non c'è qualcosa di particolare che non ho apprezzato

Potente e ricco di strumenti

Commenti: Ha migliorato praticamente tutti gli aspetti dello sviluppo app, permettendo di utilizzare un modello serverless, avendo in più una serie di stumenti (es Crashlytics) che rendono più semplice la gestione del sistema.

Aspetti positivi:

La facilità d'uso ed il fatto che sia disponibile per diversi linguaggi e sistemi, avere tutti i dati su un'unica piattaforma è fondamentale. Inoltre il database NoSQL è molto prestante.

Aspetti negativi:

Il fatto che alcuni servizi, sebbene abbiano un tier free, richiedano comunque l'inserimento dei dati di acquisto.

Firebase the best backend

Commenti: Ha permesso di deployare più velocemente servizi richiesti da clienti.

Aspetti positivi:

La semplicità di utilizzo e velocità con la quale è possibile creare il lato backend della proprio sistema. Inoltre viene fornito un piano gratuito molto vantaggioso per chi vuole iniziare. Inoltre la gestione degli utenti con firebase auth permette di gestire il tutto semplicemente anche attraverso accesso con social.

Aspetti negativi:

Come servizi backend non ha le stesse funzionalità di aws o azure ma essendo collegato a google si interfaccia molto con google cloud.

Commenti: I recommended a lot of simple, growing, starting, and scaling projects to my fellow developers. Its pay-as-you-go is pay-as-you-go. Having hosting, database, authentication services, and everything coming from Google Cloud makes it a perfect one-stop solution for any project you are working with.

Aspetti positivi:

Having everything in the same place is always satisfying. As Firebase and Google Cloud become a must-have in current serverless implementation, it is excellent to find Firebase getting the love it deserves regarding functionality. The documentation is top-tier, and the connectivity with any other platform you use to store, share, or send data makes it a breeze to use Firebase.

Aspetti negativi:

The dashboard interconnection with the Google Cloud panel is unfinished, so you must jump between multiple screens to find the necessary information. It is there in the same platform and architecture, but it takes 3-4 clicks to get to where you want to be.

All in one solution

Commenti: I use it daily and it works pretty easily, fast, with minimal setup and allow me to do all essentials task easily.

I like that you have a single tool doing most of the necessary task for you. Analytics, Feature Flags, AB Testing, Hosting, Authentication and more. It is also pay as you go so it is easy to setup for free, use it freely for quite some time until you reach the point where it s time to pay when you are properly settled. They offer all those tools that works pretty decently together and are very easy to setup.

Aspetti negativi:

The documentation is sometimes a bit confusing, and the pricing can also be slightly hard to understand since each feature can have their own pricing.

Firebase / Firestore and cloud functions has automated my business

Commenti: Absolutely positive all round. As I mention above, it has saved time and money and removed a lot of laboursome tasks.

I started using firebase to run cloud functions, and then store data to firestore. I like the firebase interface. I like how event triggers function logically and the ability to use the api's as well. All in all, over the last 12 month I have managed to automated a significant amount of processes that would have otherwise required manual intervention, thus saving time and money. Its a win - win.

I haven't encountered any issue to dislike.

It has a good documentation, and provides many feactures for free, ideal if your starting a new app or bussines and don´t have a lot of money to get stated, so obviously have the best integration with google products

a SQL database is needed in firebase, i know it exists en google could, but it would be a great differences against other products

Commenti: For beginner and small project where small amount of data is processed, this could be the best to go for. But for large scale data processing, more integration of other software is needed.

Our company has built software and hardware project based on client needs. Most of the time,it involved real time data upload to server and accessing those. Also, analysing some portion of data was done by Java,NodeJs which was part of firebase coding section. It seemed easy to learn and implement.

Aspetti negativi:

The login and certification seems lengthy. Also, while moving large scale data, it gets stuck and takes time to process.

Good Platform for Mobile App Developers

I like the complete package that Firebase offers to it's users that makes it easy for mobile app developers to insert features easily to their apps. It's great that Firebase also is linked closely with Google Cloud which makes management much easier.

Aspetti negativi:

Firebase isn't that complete and I personally would go using other enterprise services for production apps. It is great for small projects but scaling makes it a bit hard to use this platform.

Simple to create, administer, and send!

amazing tools, incredibly fast online interface, allowing us to address difficulties head on, pretty nice UI, monitoring capabilities that are also quite slick, and it's probably the finest out there for straightforward push notifications without complexity and easy g-suite integration

File upload and hosting possibilities are relatively limited; dealing with client or internal assets can become a bit cumbersome.

A great service for mobile analytics, push notifications and remote config

Aspetti positivi:

It offers a lot of services that can make a difference when growing a mobile app or game: analytics, connectivity with Google Ads, push notifications, offers configuration, A/B testing...

Aspetti negativi:

Some features are not as user friendly, specially remote config: it requires a minimum of coding knowledge to change some values inside the game.

Commenti: This is the database I used for my first android project and I found it as very flexible database for new users.

Aspetti positivi:

The main thing is the community. Firebase has a huge active community and that is one of the main reasons why beginners can try this without any hassle. Firebase is a real time database and apps can synchronize with the database in the real time. Also it has offline synchronization as well and update the changes once the internet connection is restored. Firebase SDKs support for frameworks like androd, iOS, angular and react.

Android push notifications, bare minimum

Commenti: Good experience, overall, with Firebase.

It does what it says on the box, most of the time. Easy enough to set up and use and integrates beautifully with Azure Notifications Hub.

There was an on/off bug we had where some notifications would go missing. Doesn't seem to be happening anymore.
