A frequent user of Egress emails you some important information, good luck ever finding that again with no search facilities and impossible to quickly scan emails. • There is a potential legal issue going forward if you reply using egress since the Egress account holder effectively has a lock on the record of your communication if they remove your Egress account. So for example if a client requests in an email for work to be performed in a certain way then the recipient of that order would have no way to find or read that communication potentially years later. The web client is glitchy.- • Replying to an email frequently leaves the recipient names blank meaning you have to close tab and try again. • It can also conflict with other local security protection, again requiring multiple attempts to reply. • Has a habit of disabling send, losing the email content you have just written. • The outlook plugin seems to provide little additional functionality but does also add additional faults such as complete inability to reply. From a security perspective it actively encourages the clicking of links in emails to the extent of being a phishing scammer’s dream. > > If you are using Egress for occasional transmission of sensitive information then it has a use but if used for general communication then it is poorly designed and written.
