Lo uso da diverso tempo ed è veramente ottimo. Semplicissimo da usare anche per chi non ha dimestichezza con software di videoconferenza

Aspetti negativi:

L'unica pecca è che al minimo sbalzo di banda, si blocca e bisogna entrare da capo

The open-source video conferencing platform of choice

Commenti: We have been using Jitsi to conduct meetings and virtual classes for our students. Overall, we are very satisfied with the user experience. I am constantly delighted to see new features being added to the platform (e.g. virtual backgrounds), and the team even upgraded their user interface.

Aspetti positivi:

Jitsi is free and open source and that is the biggest Pro that I can think of. However, this does not mean that it has a subpar feature set. We have been using it consistently for conducting virtual meetings across the University since the early days of the pandemic and here are a few pros that I can highlight: - It is very user friendly, even non-techies can figure it out without much training - Jitsi integrates well with Moodle (our LMS of choice) and this allows Faculty to host virtual classrooms right from their course page - The DropBox integration allows users to record their meetings and share the recordings easily with others

Aspetti negativi:

Although it is difficult to fault an outstanding project like Jitsi, there are a few areas that still need to be polished up: - At certain times users join a meeting using the supplied link only to find that they are alone (although others using the same link are in the meeting room). This is usually fixed by leaving and rejoining the meeting - Jitsi often struggles with poor connectivity and this matters in not-so-well-developed settings like where some of our students stay

Virtual meetings tool

Commenti: In general, Jitsi is a great option to have virtual meetings or webinars and avoiding having to install or having to do all the hassle from most of the rest of the tools which do the same.

Aspetti positivi:

I really like the fact that this tool is really easy to use, you just need to access the website, chose what you need, and as easy as that you can create a room to have a virtual meeting with co-workers, prospects, or even with your family. This is a great tool when chosing from other options, and specially because time is important for me and my clients.

Aspetti negativi:

I don't like the fact that I need to write a name for the room meeting, I think is a good idea but it can be created automatically, and not having to write something that might sound weird to the participants at the meeting.

Great phone solution for small companies working remotely.

Aspetti positivi:

The system in convenient for companies that have employees based remotely. You can easily access calls and voicemails from your laptop or smartphone.

Aspetti negativi:

Sometimes the connection isn't great. There's also an audio delay once in awhile, usually this is resolved by restarting the system.

Free and good alternative to other meeting platforms

Aspetti positivi:

Very easy access, high quality, hardly no connection problem, easy to set up meeting rooms and to share the access details, free software to use without log-in or creating an account

Aspetti negativi:

limited features in the free version, but still sufficient for the required scope of use

Jitsi or not jitsi

Commenti: It is very convenient. You can set up a room send the link and start a meeting in a matter of minutes

Aspetti positivi:

It is a videoconference platform. What is great is that you do not have any software to download. You just have to create a room, send the link to the people who must attend the meeting et voila ! The communication is crypted. You can share screen and there is a chat box. It is easy to select the speakers and the microphone in use

Aspetti negativi:

Compare to other videoconference plateform or software, jitsi miss the possibility to organize independant rooms or a virtual whiteboard. You cannot also record it. It is better to use it on Google. Sometime you loose connection or cannot hear someone that neet to reload the browser

Jitsi is disappointing

Apart from the fact that it manages data consumption better, there is literally nothing to like

Aspetti negativi:

The UI is bland and unattractive. The call quality is terrible, the app lags and the screen sharing feature is unreliable.

Good

Commenti: I don't see what sets Jitsi apart from its competitors, but it has all the functions you want in a meeting app.

Aspetti positivi:

Does the job - sometimes have connection problems, but I use Jitsi integrated in third-party app so I do not know which app causes the connection problems. It has all the basic functionality - muting, sharing meeting link, screensharing, easy to use mobile app, ...

Aspetti negativi:

I would like the functionality to share the full screen instead of only individual windows. I assume this will be implemented some day.

It was a revolution!

Commenti: In general, it was good, it was one of the first options that we used in the company in the 2000s and it always met our expectations.

Aspetti positivi:

There is no limit of participants! Which made things very easy, since there was no need to go around filtering people or leaving them out. It's a very simple and intuitive interface, there is no way to get lost

Aspetti negativi:

It got stuck in time, it has few features which makes it "boring" compared to current competition.

Daily communication - Slow

Commenti: It is good overall but it is not the best. It is a bit outdated.

Aspetti positivi:

I have used Jitsi to communicate with coworkers and family It is a good tool and we like it very much but there are others that have replaced it technologically.

Aspetti negativi:

We can´t send gifs with it and it is quite limited in other aspects as well. It makes it hard to send certain types of files.

Great Free Video Conferencing Solution

Commenti: Jitsi allows my team to work from home and successfully communicate. We use it for meetings, one-on-ones, brainstormings, updates, and general communications.
Also, I've started to use this software much more often to chat with my family and friends amid pandemic.

Aspetti positivi:

Jitsi Meet is a fully secure, scalable, easy to use, customizable and feature-rich solution, perfect choice for remote everyday use.

Aspetti negativi:

I have not come up against any weaknesses yet. The one thing I can remember, once I've noted an audio delay during the meeting.

Aplicativo prático e eficiente

Commenti: Achei muito prático de usar, costuma dar poucos erros, o aplicativo não é pesado para carregar. Fácil de encontrar as funções de compartilhamento . Gostei muito de utilizar para reuniões e webconferências. Equivalente a outras plataformas com a mesma função.

Aspetti positivi:

Prático de usar, funcionalidade de compartilhamento prático de entender. Costuma dar poucos bugs de compartilhamento, acesso e compatibilidade com navegadores web. É gratuito e seguro quanto a privacidade de dados.

Aspetti negativi:

Não há necessidade de aparecer mensagem de incompatibilidade de navegação (recomendação de Chrome) pois funciona bem com Firefox e Edge.

Alternativa a las herramientas de reuniones empresariales

Commenti: Lo utilizamos durante tres meses en mi trabajo anterior, en el comienzo de la pandemia. Pero terminamos utilizando opciones como Google Meet y discord por estar más acostumbrados a utilizar fichas herramientas, principalmente la suite de Google.

Aspetti positivi:

Cuenta con las mismas opciones que las herramientas del mismo rubro. La interfaz me pareció un poco más cuidada que las alternativas.

Aspetti negativi:

Al momento de utilizarlo nos pareció un poco más complicada la opción de agendar reuniones vinculadas a herramientas como Google Calendar.

Jitsi wird bei uns zur Kommunikation innerhalb der Abteilung benutzt. Tägliche Standups. Dafür ist es super einfach zu handhaben

Große Meetings oder gar Videochats mit vielen Teilnehmern überfordern das System

Jitsi - a more private alternative to Zoom

Commenti: I would definitely recommend it as a more private alternative to Zoom for teams.

Aspetti positivi:

I use Jitsi for daily call conferencing with 6-12 participants. Jitsi makes it easy for all users to share video. It shows active call quality for each participant based on their connection. Active chat feature is very useful for sharing links to projects. Active speaker's boxes are highlighted with a blue border. Anyone not sharing video is shown by their initials or first letter of their first name. Very accessible and user friendly.

Aspetti negativi:

Sometimes, Jitsi does have outages, slow connectivity, or turns everyone's videos black which can be annoying. Overall though, it is a great product and a private alternative to Zoom or other similar products.

Open Source Zoom competitor

Aspetti positivi:

Very easy to just hop in a call with anyone that has a browser.

Aspetti negativi:

By default, screen sharing framerate is very low (5 fps) but you can usually set it higher in the settings.

Un outil de visio peu performant

Aspetti positivi:

C'est une solution libre, qui permet de faire quasiment tout ce qui est nécessaire : présentation, partage d'écran, visio, appel audio, chat.

Aspetti negativi:

Nombreux bugs, avec des utilisateurs qu'on n'entend pas, qui ne nous voient pas, des partages d'écran qui plantent, des options qui manquerait, comme pouvoir mettre en silencieux quelqu'un d'autres.

Secure Video Meetings

Commenti: Used by those people who are concerned about big-tech or servers outside of the EU, Jitsi is easy to use and the UX is ok if not stellar. Still it's free and does the job needed

Aspetti positivi:

Easy to use as a user - my colleagues who set up the meetings where we use Jitsi say it's not so good as an administrator but I can't say. User experience is OK - not as smooth as some other platforms though

Aspetti negativi:

Often problems where someone in the meeting suddenly is "kicked out" of the meeting or their sound or video doesn'T work. This only happens when using the online version, not with the app...

Jisti Quality and Privacy

Commenti: It is a very good application, user friendly, easy to use, and practical for family meeting and business meetings

Aspetti positivi:

When you create a meeting, you are always able to re-enter to the same meeting with the same link, even after you close the application. The Video and the audio have a very good quality. And there is no limitation for time snd number of participants for any meeting.

Aspetti negativi:

The meeting already created, does not save the privacy done by the creator of it. Anyone could be an admin for a meeting, anyone can mute all participants, anyone can enable or disable the lobby functionality.

Not common

Commenti: We changed after a few months of testing. The rooms ended up giving failure and the number of participants was limited

Aspetti positivi:

The ability to create permanent meeting rooms to which users can connect automatically and without permission without the need to send an invitation and renew

Aspetti negativi:

It is not a very widespread application and its use is limited to regular users within an organization, compared to more common options to meet with clients.

Videoconferences made simple, free, and private

Aspetti positivi:

Jitsi offers videoconferences with all the expected features (group calls, screensharing, rise hand, chat, streaming, recording, encryption...) without the need to install specific software (it works from the web browser, although there are specific apps) nor create an account, for free and preserving your privacy. What else?

Aspetti negativi:

I have not found a single problem or glitch with jitsi, I am, though concerned about their business model (none) what makes me wonder about its long-term future.

Encrypted, open source, SAFE platform for virtual meetings

Commenti: Jitsi is the free, secure, open-source version of video meetings that WON’T steal your information!

Aspetti positivi:

Jitsi has a lot of the features that you would expect for virtual meeting - chat, raise hand, video capability, screen share.

Aspetti negativi:

As far as I can tell, you can not necessarily set up a future meeting, as in the meeting only begins when someone starts it. I’m not sure this is really a con though, just different from other platforms!

It just works

Commenti: This platform has made it really easy for us to hold virtual meetings and Bible studies during the COVID crisis when we've been unable to meet in person.

Aspetti positivi:

This platform is used by Faithlife as the basis for their video chat function. It is easy to use and we have not experienced some of the same kinds of problems we have had with Zoom.

Aspetti negativi:

We did have some issues with audio quality early on that were mostly fixed by having people use headphones.

There are better options!

Commenti: I think there are better platforms for online learning. Zoom has much more options like screen sharing, etc. to enhance online learning.

Aspetti positivi:

It seemed to be the least costly option for online learning, which is good. Video and chat are nice options too.

Aspetti negativi:

I did not like that it didn't have many options. No screen sharing or whiteboard. It lacked in the functionality area.

Jitsi Review

Commenti: My overall experience with jitsi has been good so far. One can definetely go with it.

Aspetti positivi:

It is very easy to use and the call quality is great.

Aspetti negativi:

Adding extensions before making a call become tedious some time. It would be great if Jitsi will work without prefix extensions.
