Great software for child care centers
Commenti: Kangarootime has helped us improve communication with parents and teachers, and eliminate lots of paperwork. The Kangarootime team has been great to work with. They are very responsive and supportive.
Aspetti positivi:
Software gives our Administrators constant visibility to room attendance and staffing. Parents love the smartphone app and the ability to communicate directly with Teachers and Administrators. Teachers love how the software helps them easily enter updates on the children without having to type out full sentences on the tablet.
Aspetti negativi:
The software is relatively new so they are still adding and improving some functionality. Billing lacked some features that we wanted initially but they have been responsive to requests for improvements. Reporting is also limited but is expanding.

I like the messaging feature. It makes it easy to communicate with parents and staff. The customer support is wonderful, especially Eric. He is my go-to guy!
Aspetti negativi:
I wish there was an easy way to receive a notification on the Admin side. I know parents receive a notification when they have a message, it would be nice if Admin could receive a notification on their phone or computer when they have a new message. Often, I am away from my desk, so this would make it easier.

Kangarootime is always there for me and my team whenever we have questions or need a solution! Kangarootime is always thorough and makes sure that their customers are happy and able to run their school as safe as they possibly can!
Aspetti negativi:
Right now my biggest complaint with Kangarootime would be that Point of Care can only be used on a tablet or Mac (able to get the app). My work computer is a desktop and I do not always have access to a tablet. I wish that Point of Care was able to be accessed on the computer AND tablet! I love that there is an app, just wish there was an option for admin. who do not always have access to a tablet.

Kangarootime has truly transformed our childcare facility's operations, especially in maintaining proper ratios. With its seamless interface, we've seen a remarkable increase in monthly finances as we efficiently collect payments and empower parents with financial control. The platform's reporting tools are excellent.
Aspetti negativi:
The admin dashboard could improve its view of student-teacher messaging. Increase/enhance employee-focused reports.

All You Need in One!

I love how Kangarootime is a multi-functioning app! I can process billing, maintain attendance records, keep contact information for all families, manage a healthy communication system with families, send photos to families and manage a secure keyless entry system for entry into my center.

I don't have much negative feedback on Kangarootime. Overall, I am very pleased with the service.

Kangarootime Review
Aspetti positivi:
I love how easy it is to input your classroom's daily happenings. It's very user-friendly to check kids in and out and move them from one class to another.
Aspetti negativi:
I don't like that we can't message one class at a time. You can either message the whole school or a single child but you can't select classes to message.

Easy to use for everyone
Commenti: Kangarootime misses nothing! You can do everything through Kangarootime. It is great that families don’t need multiple apps or accounts to manage their children’s enrollment.

I love the Point of Care app, which is an upgrade from the K1 website. Moving teachers from room to room is easy, and communication with the buildings various populations is much easier on K2!
Aspetti negativi:
Our parents don’t seem to love it as much as K1.

Parent Communication and Updates
Commenti: Great! My staff and families love it! It is easy to use and easy to read.
Aspetti positivi:
Parents love the updates on the app, pictures are easy to see, and it shows each days report. Billing is much easier and auto pay can be turned on and you will see detailed messages if payments are returned, pending or failed with an explanation. Multiple parents can be set as primary guardian and can get message notifications.
Aspetti negativi:
You cannot send individual messages to the staff.

We love Kangarootime

Commenti: Customer service is prompt and helpful. Responses are personal and not automatic. It makes us feel like real people are looking out for us.
Aspetti positivi:
We chose Kangarootime because it was a small company with a big heart. It has completed changed the way we bill and receive payments. It is the main reason we have the software.
Aspetti negativi:
We are disappointed in the messaging platform. We are used to constant contact and miss the ability to make beautiful emails. Only one attachment per email is frustrating.

I like how easy it is to communicate with the parents! The parents love it too. Also billing is easy and understandable for the most part! Customer Service is also AMAZING!!! They have helped so much and made it a very easy experience!

Checks many of the boxes we hoped for
Commenti: Overall, mostly satisfied with KT. They have an extremely responsive and devoted support staff - I cannot say enough about their support staff, one of the best I've worked with across multiple software implementations across the childcare, small business support, and insurance industries in the past 10 years. It's clear they are still trying to quickly iterate and working out the kinks and idiosyncrasies that come up. Their software development seems to struggle a bit compared and it seems like there is something missing - a guiding vision unifying all the various modules contained in their program
Aspetti positivi:
One stop shopping without extensive software purchases - this software combines a childcare center database, daily reporting app for parents, document manager, child attendance, employee timecard, parent and staff messaging, billing and merchant service (payments), reporting/analytics
Aspetti negativi:
Billing is not intuitive and difficult to learn. It does not integrate easily with our accounting software (quickbooks). Check in/out module can be difficult to use on a tablet due to small size of icons (recommend using the largest tablet you can afford, otherwise icons are tiny). Software does not allow admin to restrict staff to a certain IP address, meaning staff are clocking in/out from anywhere (potential for abuse if staff are clocking in from the parking lot, etc.)

It makes everyday documenting faster, easier, and very helpful to the parents. Makes teachers lives easier, and less paperwork!
Aspetti negativi:
It crashes A LOT. Has great features but not all of them work. Immunization inputs- too long, too tedious, and too much back and fourth.

All encompassing childcare management software
Aspetti positivi:
We love the fact that Kangarootime has automated so much of our business processes! It's great to have one product that handles everything from accounting to employees to parents. The Kangarootime support team has been great along the way!
Aspetti negativi:
There are some shortfalls in reporting and there is necessary development to still be done to make the software package as fully robust as it could be. However, Kangarootime has come a long way in development and design since we first became a client in 2017.

Ktime review
Aspetti positivi:
The best thing about it is the tracking of children and staff. It helps a lot in making sure you have the proper coverage.
Aspetti negativi:
I do not like that I cannot put in the next session of kids without changing where they are at the moment.

Team Work
Commenti: Good. We appreciate their quick response to issues that are on the admin. side of the software. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] routinely joins conf. calls to be sure we know they are listening.

What we've been waiting for
Commenti: I was thrilled to find out that there was a program out there that managed all things childcare. I am looking forward to new features which will improve an already amazing and efficient program.

App freezes if I accidentally hit the "back" button on my phone instead of the "X" when trying to exit the picture gallery, I do not get notifications when my children's teachers send new messages (I typically just happen upon them a day or so later), and it is 100% impossible for me to find a way to delete a guardian; I have been looking both on the app and on a computer browser for 2 days, and am now waiting for a call back from customer service.
