Commenti: Collaboration, editing tools, deployment simplicity, and sharing on other platforms, including WeVideo, help establish your own identity. The typefaces were also fantastic. The simple UI was easy to adjust. I'm happy that I bought this program.

My younger brother just asked me to provide exclusive video footage for their college presentation. And I'm pleased to highlight WeVideo, a tool I utilized to produce the video material. WeVideo's facilities for editing recorded videos, adding audio and text, and adding graphic effects were quite helpful as always. Collaboration was also an option, giving me more goals I could pursue. This program makes it much easier to produce quality video footage.

It would be more beneficial if we could investigate more modification possibilities, such as adding text fonts other than the ones that are now included. But for the provider, making such upgrades is not difficult. I hope there will soon be more relevant updates.

Worst experience with a video editing program

Fairly simple to use once you play around with the program for a bit.

First of all, It was not made clear how much publishing time was available for a free account until after I had spent hours editing a video. Second of all, I paid for a monthly subscription (30 minutes of publishing time per month). After I exported my first video (around 9 minutes), I saw that the video did not match the preview. Text and video was missing/cut off. I edited the video and tried to export it again. Video and text was still deleted even though the preview showed that everything was fine. Tried a third time, same problem. By my fourth time, I had used up my monthly publishing time. So now, I have a video with missing/incomplete content and no way to fix it unless I choose to pay more money. I am cancelling this subscription immediately.

WeVideo - Started using it in Covid and kept going after

Commenti: I love wevideo. It is easy to teach students video production with. The ability to collaborate on videos is great for realtime feedback and the ability to assign projects helps keep student organized and making great videos.

I love that students can use this software on their chromebooks and has google drive compatibility. Students can edit movies with ease. It was clutch teaching online through the pandemic and it replaced the software we used after.

Aspetti negativi:

The only con I can think of is the inability to unattached the preview screen so you can use dual monitors. It also has some limitations on editing.

WeVideo is easy to use and has a full range of video creation tools and features. It allows me to create and edit videos directly within web browsers. Needless to download any software. The video editor user interface is easy to navigate and use. Also, the screen recording, webcam recording, and the green screen features are super vital for video tutorials. The assets library has a variety of media types and content categories. And the export features allow exporting videos in high-quality and minimal file size.

The video transitions library has a limited number and old fashion transitions. Also, the feature of adding text to videos has limited design capabilities.

Easy Video Online Editor with Arabic Support

I have used WeVideo a few hours everyday. You need a good internet connection to use it smoothly. The interface is good. I love that it supports Arabic language. The rendering is quite good. If they gave an option to upload fonts, It would make text and titles look even better. The split shortcut (S) gives a lot of flexibility and speed.

Aspetti negativi:

No outline or shadow on the text. I do it manually but it takes a lot of time. If they can add this feature, they would get more customers. Adding more keyboard shortcuts would make editing faster. Support is slow. Somtimes the exports can take some time depending on the queue.

Very Smooth, Very Quick, Surprisingly Robust

Commenti: Overall, I feel confident I can make interactive video for my work with confidence. I love that it plays nice with Google Drive or Dropbox, as well as Exports to Twitter, Facebook, or embeds to my website easily. Overall, I love this product.

WeVideo is intuitive. There are many options and features, but the interface is clean and uncluttered. When you want to get in and get out, make the video, this is what you want to use. I love that is renders, and exports to many different locations without me having to babysit. I can click Finish and let it do its thing while I move on to the next task.

Aspetti negativi:

The product is cloud-based, for some this is a drawback if you need to finish the video or podcast quickly - your bandwidth makes a difference.

We are Really Enjoying Making and Editing Videos Now!

Easy to setup, invite others, and create or edit videos. There are a lot user templates and starting points to choose from when creating a video or even a gif! Students are are engaged and enjoying it quite a bit.

Haven't used it long enough to find any cons or issues, as of yet.

An Incredibly Welcoming Online Video Editor

Commenti: WeVideo has been my school system's video editing tool for several years now, and I have been extremely happy with it. Using it with students for projects and morning announcements has been easy and fun, and it has even inspired some students to look more into video editing. The range of tools is great, and users can choose to dive in with greenscreen effects, stock footage, and more, or take a less overwhelming approach and use the simple video capture tool to take short videos and post it.

WeVideo is an excellent tool for video editing, both for those who are experienced in editing and those who are newer. The tool has several different modes, with the "Storyboard" mode showing a simpler window for those who are new, whereas the "Timeline" mode displays the editing screen in a similar way to many other editing tools. The software can easily click videos together and overlay text, stock images/videos, music, and more with an easy-to-use library and video track system. Working with others on the tool is also easy by creating a "Shared Project". There is even a classroom option for teachers to work with their students!

Aspetti negativi:

There are small tweaks that WeVideo could make to improve, such as their "Group" manager tool, but I've found every time I had an issue and sent in feedback, they changed it very quickly!

Good for students, I have one complaint

I use this myself and manage as many as 85 projects at one time. I find it easy to use and explain. Most of my users are 12-14 years old. They do complex programs with interviews, live video, cut-aways, music and voice overs. We use it for podcasting as well. Each student does between 1-4 projects a quarter year of school.

Aspetti negativi:

Your new interface hides the sound bar so that it requires an additional click to find it. Making kids have a harder time with what was always their hardest thing to manage. Your new interface hide where the edit is filed into a project so kids who open an edit and just start putting clips on the timeline are not building them in the assigned "shared with me project" which makes in impossible for me to monitor them or see their progress. You also do not have a mechanism to move an existing edit into a "project " file that was assigned to them. This leaves me in the unfortunate problem of either requiring them to rebuild the edit in the appropriate place, or finish the video (without shared video files) and without my supervision of the students work.

Creating Video Content Made Easy.

Commenti: This tool makes my work easy. Just drag and drop, add and cut, use effects and transitions. Done! The video is ready for uploading . This is far the best option for editing videos. 2 words to describe it: Fast and Easy!

It is a very user friendly tool. Has enough features to make a proper video with ease. Contains an enormous media library to choose from. The fact that it doesn't require to be downloaded makes it even better.

There are a few drawbacks to be noticed. The text overlays don't have effects to add. The video playback is a bit laggy. And the main problem for me was the transitions. They should add more transitions in it.

WeVideo: Tough to Beat!

I must say that video editing becomes very easy with WeVideo and store the work quickly because it offers cloud storage. I am using this tool for a long time because my clients are quite happy with all the presentations. I think professional-looking videos with voice-over now a matter of few minutes. I like the fact that WeVideo is packed with a lot of important features such as video clips, images, music, animations, and element. Also, you can upload your own selected image, video, music, etc this is amazing. This software enables you to work online so, you don’t need to download it which is very convenient.

I wish if they could have more elements and audio edit option to be more creative with the design. WeVideo offers only 5 minutes of video download with a free version. If anyone wants to download longer videos then they need to go for a paid version which not always affordable.

Easy film editing software with great value

Commenti: I found the most value when choosing the Professional Plan and paying for it for an entire year. Not only does this give you access to creating as many and as long of videos as you need, you also get access to a HUGE library of stock video, photos and audios. The value of this alone has paid for the cost of my subscription. I love being able to edit everything in one place and add/change my stock footage as needed. While you don't have all the controls of software like Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro, I have been able to do everything I need with the features in WeVideo.

Great entry level film editing software for those just starting out. It is easy to learn the software. One of the benefits for me has been the fact that it's cloud based so I can work on it anywhere, even if I do not have my computer or files. In the professional level or higher package, you have access to a HUGE library of stock video, photos and audios.

Aspetti negativi:

Organizing my media with their folder system has been a little frustrating to figure out. There are also not a ton of customization options with titles and transitions. You can change the color, font, and size but not much else. When I was first starting, it took awhile to figure out how to add a white background or different background for a title or png image. However, there hasn't been too much I haven't been able to do in this software--it just takes a bit on something to figure out a workaround.

Best program for video editing in school environment

Commenti: Due to the simplicity of the program I find I am doing very little training on the program itself. The short "Help" videos are an excellent resource! The site is surprisingly stable. In fact I can recall the site going down once in the last 8 years I have used it!

I have been using WeVideo for 8 years. I have found nothing comparable for the price. Simple enough for elementary students to use, yet robust enough for the prosumer in your organization. Over the years WeVideo has worked consistently to improve the program by continually adding new features as requested by users. I have and will continue to recommend WeVideo to all.

WeVideo has worked diligently over the years to improve the program. Generally, new features are added when requested by users within months. New features are generally fairly stable, even in beta, and support is quick and consistent. I really don't have anything I disliked about the program.

Once you get started editing in WeVideo you'll realise just how easy vidoe making is. It is simple to use and very intuitive. With royalty free content included it saves pupils time when creating their own videos. There is such a big network of educator support and collaborative video projects are a huge benefit to WeVideo.

The cost factor is one slight negative however it is well worth spending the money especially if pupils are using Chromebooks as there is no other alternative to it!

The nice thing is about this is the fact that it is all online. The connection of the phone to the computer really does work smooth. I am excited about how WeVideo solved the problem of how to teach Video Production at both an online school as well as at a bricks and mortar school.

Seems like they continue to improve but there are always more features that would be nice. I would like to see more template options.

A Powerful Web-Based Video Editor

Commenti: WeVideo has been great for our school! We do green screen video announcements once a week, which is incredible to see elementary school students capable of editing! Organizing can be a bit of a bear, but the range of capabilities of this program are incredible!

WeVideo is a great web based video editor! It can scale itself to welcome all ages and ability levels through its "Storyboard" mode and it's "Timeline" mode. Storyboard is simpler, which is great with students, and Timeline is for more advanced works that let users create different tracks of media. The fact that I could edit green screen in the same tool that students can drag and drop short video clips is incredible!

Aspetti negativi:

My only issue with WeVideo is the organizing. I've been using it for a little over half a year, and I still struggle to organize my creations. The folder system isn't too complicated, but it doesn't always let me place files where I want. I also struggle to reorganize them, though I know if I take some time and sit down, I should be able to figure it out. I just wish this aspect was as intuitive as the rest of the program.

Filmmaking with WeVideo
