If I run a user test and there is an error not only will they get back to me in real time, they will walk you through what caused the error so you can avoid it in the future. Another thing I like about usertesting is that step by step instructions are given for every tests due to which it is easier for persons who are new to testing. Also, the payment gets processed within a week or 10 days. You can qualify for a bunch of tests one week then the next week not qualify for even one, making it unreliable as a sole source of income. High Disqualification Rate: You often spend more time on screening questionnaires only to be disqualified, rather than actually taking tests. In a whole hour you might qualify for one or two on a good day, which can be frustrating. A more intelligent matching system would be beneficial. Payment Can Feel Low for Effort: While the payment is fair, when you factor in the time spent on screeners and the detailed feedback required for a 15-20 minute test, the effective hourly rate can be lower than it initially appears. Limited Direct Communication: There is little to no direct collaboration with the clients.
