Commenti: Overall it's a good prodcut that meets my expectations. I get the results I need in the time frame that I need them, and that's good enough for me right now.

I am able to integrate Checkr with our current HRIS and start the process right from an applicants profile. I usually have a quick turnaround and easy to read reports.

Aspetti negativi:

There are so many different packages to choose from, sometimes it's complicated to know exactly what I'm ordering unless I log in directly to Checkr and then sort through the different packages.

High reviews from companies, awful reviews from candidates

Commenti: I've never had such a terrible onboarding experience before for a background check. I've done background checks and developed vetting before but this company has the worst experience as a candidate. They frequently pause the check to "request information" but the portal does not have a clear explanation of what they need. Questions are responded to with autoreplies, or responses that ignore the question entirely. Example: I emailed them to ask why my employment references were not complete (they had been completed last week). They ignored the question and told me they needed to verify a totally different thing and had been waiting for me to take action. There was no indicator in the portal or anywhere else that they expected action to be taken, so if I hadn't contacted them I would have presumably missed my start date with my company. The ramifications both for my new employer's business and my own ability to make rent would have been huge, and it was barely averted. Employers: look elsewhere, check the reviews on TP or other sites where you'll see candidates regularly mentioning horror stories with this site. I'm shocked they're still in business

Aspetti negativi:

Despite the portal looking great, the major flaw with this company is their lack of communication, terrible customer service and reliance on auto-replies which suggests a company that doesn't care about candidates.

The synchronization with Procare Online.

Aspetti negativi:

When we create a profile from Procare online and select a package, that package is not reported in the Checkr website. I have to select the package again when sending the invitation to the candidates.Also. When an invitation link has expired and a new new invitation link is sent to the candidate from Checkr website, that new link and its report results is not updated on Procare online. Procare still keeps the old expired link where as the candidate has been cleared but we can't see it on procare.

Checkr has been a great asset to our ministry

Integration with Planning Center, ease of use, ability to track the status of background process or if one is expired.

Aspetti negativi:

I wish we could add context to the initial email so that our volunteers know that it is coming from our organization and to be clear on what information we check and that we are using Checkr for our volunteers not for a job application. This has caused some confusion lately.

I like that Checkr is an easy-to use and well-supported online solution. We really appreciate the ability to pick and choose what features we want and that Checkr has a pricing solution for any combination of features.

Aspetti negativi:

As with any background check system it can be frustrating when dealing with improper background check information or errors that come up when requesting a background check due to user (applicant) input error.

Fast Effective Background Checks

Aspetti positivi:

Checkr works seamlessly with Planning Center which we use to track all of our people. We can start a background check right from a person's profile and a request is sent to the person who has asked to volunteer and they complete it without us having to be responsible for the safety of any of their personal information. Checkr lets us know when the background check is complete (usually within 24 hours) and we are able to print the report for our files and it automatically updates their status to approved, approved with caution, or red flags it because of a concern brought up by the background check.

Buyer Beware!

Commenti: Overall, very negative experience with Checkr.

They make it very easy to get started and for job applicants to approve their background check.

Aspetti negativi:

Checkr doesn't make it clear that the prices listed on its pricing guide are just starting price (its in a tiny star at the bottom of the page). Nor does it tell you this when you order a background check or even after while they are processing it. You are just slapped with additional fees weeks later when they issue your monthly statement. By then, you've already requested additional background checks and the whole thing is an expensive fiasco. In my case, I ordered a background check for $54, only to be charged an additional $95 for that check because of additional court fees! To add insult to injury, they have NO PHONE number to address customer questions. Their sales team sure calls you about a million times, but when you want to call them with a question, you are out of luck. You can email customer service, but they don't respond. They only responded after I emailed twice and looped the sales team. And then their response was canned and they didn't resolve my concern (that their pricing is deceptive). They just sent me a pricing pdf (which is different from what you see in your account when you are ordering your checks) that has small print saying that that there may be "additional fees." I own a small business and we need dozens of background checks per year, so we can't work with an unethical, unreachable business. They have lost my business and you should save yourself the headache by avoiding them altogether!

Excellent Background Check Service

Commenti: Overall, a good experience. Competitive pricing and responsive customer service. Would recommend to another company running that needs employment screening background checks.

Checkr integrates with our ATS and sends background checks to applicants via email and phone. The information requested is quick and easy for an applicant to input, and background checks are fast and accurate.

Aspetti negativi:

Occasionally, some background checks will take an exceptionally long time. While it is not directly in Checkr's control how fast a county court responds to an information request, it would be nice to receive BC status updates or a "we resubmitted the request" email, something to note that this background check request hasn't been lost.

Commenti: I love Checkr! We have been working with them closely for many years- Ive been using it for 5 years and its always a great and fast source. Lots of information is provided to us via their BGC process and even the candidate portal. They have also come into the office for seminars and are great service

Even their Customer Success leadership team don’t care

Commenti: Trying to implement CC-MVR for more than half a year now and still not done. We’ve been through 3 different customer success managers, all seem to be disappearing whenever you’d follow up on something they said they would do. I reached out to senior level leaders multiple times and was promised help, but I have never felt as helpless with any other vendor I’ve worked with in the past as I am with Checkr. I went through the correct channels but nothing gets resolved. RUN AWAY AND GO WITH ANOTHER BACKGROUND CHECK SERVICE PROVIDER.

Commenti: Recently we had some staffing changes and in order to get our invoices I had to go in to the portal several times until the right person at Checkr could update our email contact for invoice and payment receipts. It took a couple of months to finally get the change made even though customer service said it was changed.

Commenti: We run many background checks each month on volunteers looking to work with children and vulnerable populations. I have great confidence in Checkr's ability to get me a quick report and link the information to profiles on our database.

The best feature was the ability to integrate this into our church's database software, Planning Center Online. We were easily able to set-up accounts, connect the two, and manage who is able to view the background checks from a platform we use regularly.

The only thing I haven't liked is that the branding/website seems outdated.
