It’s a spreadsheet with a Shopify check out. They grew too big too fast and now don’t care about the customer experience. Learning curve is easy because it’s the same thing everyone else does. > > **Inconvenienti**: Inaccurate financial reporting. Poor customization. No value for money. Clunky family collaboration. Not streamlined funeral management. It’s a poor man’s version of HMIS but without the proper IT support of SCI. So think HMIS but with no hope of anything ever improving and zero capability to provide reports on your business. > > If you have your own IT department and your own workarounds Parting Pro will get you started but they will not care about you and your experience. They are the direct disposition company of funeral home software. They are the cheap, volume based funeral customer service software. Their system fails often and don’t work when you need it the most - in front of families. They charge you to host your website but will not spend the 2 hours a month with you that they promised in their contract. I’ve been with them for 5 years. I was one of their day one customers and now they do not care about me. My almost $7,000 a year buys me nothing but a static website with zero SEO updates and a CSM that always glitches. They even use my testimonial on their website saying they are “head and shoulders above the rest” I’ve asked them to take it down OR provide me the customer service they did in the beginning. But they won’t, they’re making money off of volume. If you are able to figure out how to do this the Gary Vee way you might be all right but if you’re a real funeral home with real families look elsewhere. They cannot export your data in a reasonable format. I also would like to be able to upload and edit my own forms as there are some forms that are specific to just one family or a couple and I’d like to be able to provide them everything in one email as I often have to send half my documents via Parting Pro and the other half via a regular email explaining “here are the rest of the documents” and then they can’t sign it as easily unless they scan and email back to me. I’d also like to be able to name invoices our case numbers, for some reason it doesn’t let me (for example invoice number KDL-18-257). > > Overall it’s a great tool and I am glad we’ve started using it I just think there are several limitations as I mentioned above.
