I have several reasons why I love BrightLocal, but the top two would have to be their ability to order local citations and complete them professionally, and their auditing tool. The auditing tool is an invaluable resource that can help attract new clients to your business.

Aspetti negativi:

One area of improvement I have noticed is the availability of phone calls. In my experience, getting a callback can take a week or two, which suggests that their agents may be stretched thin due to high demand.

Commenti: So far so good, we are a new user switching over from SEMrush and have had an initial onboarding discussion with a soon follow up call. We had inadvertently used up all of our credits by not setting things up properly and they credited those to us so that we could start over. Will know more in a month or so after the data accumulates.

An Utter Scam

Commenti: An utter nightmare! Thanks to them my business is at the verge of collapse! I wish I'd never came across these utter incompetents!

Absolutely Nothing! I wish they would never exist as they have only ruined my business!!!! I was flourishing before meeting these cowboys!

Aspetti negativi:

They have shut down my account while 7 campaigns were running, and this was due to a fact where they could not understand my basic business need and kept making their point! At Brightlocal is either their way, or your account get shut! No signs of refund at all! The utter shame of the tech industry in 2022. The exact meaning of Scam!

Hi Mark, I'm sorry that you have had a bad experience; this is never the outcome that we want for any of our customers. During a Citation Builder campaign we flagged a potential issue, offering several options for how to proceed. You were not happy with these options & made several requests to close your account & to receive refunds for all campaigns. We granted this as a gesture of goodwill and provided receipts. We hoped this would resolve the issue, however, it is clear that you are still unhappy. We asked what further actions you would like us to take and have received no further suggestions from you, only threats. Please note you have not lost account access; we turned off your automatic subscription renewal, believing this to be what you wanted. You still have full access to your account and all data for the remainder of this billing cycle & if you wish to, you may reactivate it from within your account, which will mean that there is no disruption in service. Thank you

Commenti: From the multiple initial calls, where [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] took the extra time to answer all of my questions during my free trial, to the success call I had with Ian, I have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, attention to detail, and focus on my success using their product. I'm thrilled with the experience so far, and excited to see how this product will elevate our business.

Aspetti positivi:

I can provide my clients with a simple dashboard to view their digital presence in one easy location. For that feature alone it was worth it for me. I also loved the pitch deck that was provided. As a Marketing agency, having a starting point when talking about these incredible features and their benefits to our customers, a pitch deck was crucial to the success of quickly launching these services.

Aspetti negativi:

The backend is a little clunky. For instance, it would be great on the Clients and Locations dashboard to be able to easily view the agency dashboard and the white-label dashboard without all of the extra clicks. It's still a great product, so I don't mind the extra clicks, but streamlining some of the views would be a great bonus.

Commenti: I was absolutely amazed at the knowledge and help the staff gave me. I did tons of research and found this to be the MOST honest and affordable company offering these services. They have several free tools which brought me to their site and then they EVEN offer a free trial. Now you KNOW this business is honest and legit if they can offer a free trial and not worry if you will stick around. That is confidence knowing they have what you want at a GREAT price.

The absolute best thing about the software is the staff that walks you through it honestly. When just looking at the surface it doesn't look like much, but when you really dive into it. It offers SO MUCH for the price I am just amazed.

Aspetti negativi:

I am mad at myself I didn't talk to support sooner and really dive in when I first came across this business. Oh my goodness the time and money that could have been saved or reinvested. But I am happy I know now.

Commenti: When we first started with Brightlocal we worked directly with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]. I always appreciated his genuine character and hard work in supporting his clients. Today, they have a good support team, people like [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] (customer success team) who are always timely and detailed in responding to our support requests.

Aspetti positivi:

While there are many pros, overall - for me, the Whitelabel features equip an agency like ours to utilize the tools/reporting to the benefit of the clients we serve. We have used many tools since our inception, and we are confident BrightLocal remains at the top. They are always working hard at improving their toolset, and I get excited every time they launch a new feature, like a kid going into the candy store.

Aspetti negativi:

No cons, per say. Requesting more white-label tools to increase lead gen, over and about the site audit would be great. They are growing quickly, and in that come some issues here and there, but that is to be expected. I know they have the best interest of their clients in mind, so we roll through the issues together.

Commenti: BrightLocal is my favorite local search tool. It compiles most of the important data I'm looking for when it comes to search in one location and is relatively inexpensive when it comes to local search tools.

Aspetti positivi:

BrightLocal search ranking features are clean and easy to use. Really makes it easy to show clients how they are doing.

Aspetti negativi:

You can't have more than one search location attached to a report, you have to create a separate "Location" and run another report. Can get taxing on search credits after a while.

The employees I have been lucky enough to engage with are great and truly enjoyable to talk to. Definitely, people, I wouldn't mind getting a drink with. It is cool to see how much they put into you to make sure you know their platform and succeed with it.

Local Business Citations The Smart Way

Commenti: Whenever I need customer support, they respond so quickly it's not funny! I rarely do though... I recommend it on my YouTube channel and website. I'd certainly recommend it to you to!

I like how easy it is to use and the cost per citation. We buy $1,000's worth of credits at a time to reduce our cost even more. I also like how it allows you to click through to existing citations whether they created them or not. Finally, I love their notes that tell you the details of creating a citation on each platform if there is something you need to know. Much appreciated feature!!!

I don't anything negative to say. We use it weekly as a tool in our website, SEO, and Google Ads web agency.

A Wonderful Local SEO Platform for the Cost

Commenti: We've been using BrightLocal for about 1 year now and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Aspetti positivi:

BrightLocal offers incredible details at the base account level. Having additional credits provides further great insights that allow us to see rank changes easier. Primarily, the Citation Builder and management tools are key to our campaigns. They save us a lot of time when it comes to building and cleaning up NAP information.

Aspetti negativi:

It can be a bit tricky to navigate the dashboard. You get lost since there are so many features and tools at your disposal. Along with this, the system can be slow or inaccurate in findings when it comes to sourcing citations.

Great Platform! Excellent Customer Service

Commenti: Overall I like BrightLocal and as of right now, I don't think anyone out there can beat the price and/or options available in the platform. It's a very useful service and their customer service is top notch. You can't go wrong with them at all!

Once you get used to all the things you can do with BrightLocal and how everything works, it's super easy to set up an account and run every report you can think of. This truly is what I'd call an "all-in-one" platform because you can do so much with it. Keep in mind, I used to be a Yext partner and quickly realized the outcome of each account would be riddled with mistakes. For example, despite the info I would create for a client, the Yext system would change stuff: if an address was 1234 Anywhere Street, Yext might output it on some directories as 1234 Anywhere St. so there was no consistency. I also realized that Yext is simply an overlay - if you cancel your Yext account, you lose your citations. With BrightLocal, all the citations created are yours - or your clients'. It's permanent.

Aspetti negativi:

I feel there is a LOT of info to deal with. So many reports you can run with so much data. One thing I struggle with is knowing HOW to explain the data to a client. I don't 100% know what all the things on a report mean so how can I advise my clients?

Bright Local gives me the tools I need to succeed as a digital marketing agency

Commenti: Their systems are good. Their pricing is good. They provide a lot of information on using their system and building your business—10 out of 10 on that one. A SAAS company these days needs to provide strong and quick support. I use other SAAS providers, and they have an awesome phone and screen-sharing support. Recently Bright Local has really improved their phone support. Keep it up.

Aspetti positivi:

The features I use the most are 1) Their review management system gives me a great tool to use with my clients 2) Their citations program is the best I have seen. (and I have reviewed them all) 3) I'm looking forward to working with their local marketing system. My clients are Canadian Real Estate Agents and they all work in their local market.

Aspetti negativi:

They have had some issues with their access to support. I used to take 7-14 days to book a 1 on1 call, now I can book them in 1-2 days. The support on these calls is very good. Their "live chat" feature is usually inaccessible as they turn it off during non-office hours and when their staff are busy. I recommended that they get more staff to monitor and serve their clients through chat. These days SAAS providers need to provide quick/instant service. As business owners, we are very busy and need answers and help quickly.

Commenti: Overall the insights are worth the price, and the Get Reviews section is the cherry on top.

Aspetti positivi:

The monthly cost is low and it gives me just enough insight into my local search results, instead of me trying to parse all of the analytics data myself. I like the weekly reports sent to my inbox. I also like that they have a "Get Reviews" feature, where you can upload a CSV file that will solicit reviews from our clients. Customer support has always been above and beyond.

Aspetti negativi:

The new local search grid feature is a bit confusing and took me a long time to understand. Some of the features are a bit buggy, like the CSV import for Get Reviews. I am on a Mac, not sure if that's part of the reason.. Sometimes the dialog box never pops up to import a file and I have to quit and restart. CSV files are limited to 100 emails per file so it's a bit limiting when you have thousands of clients in your database to email. Pros outweigh cons!

Bright Local Stands Above the Rest

Commenti: Overall its an all in one local seo suite of tools and serve as an extension of my team. They are not the cheapest but they are in my view one of the best local SEO services you can use to aid in your quest to help your own local business or service other businesses in their efforts.

What I like the most about BrightLocal is their focus on local SEO more than anything else. They include citation building/and optimization, competitive research and review building to say the least. I really like the whitelabel features and the great support.

Aspetti negativi:

Once in a while the tools act up and need to get support to address it. But they do very quickly without too much fuss.

We mostly use this for building citations for our clients. But I also love the reports they have for rank tracking. This tool has helped us manage client work in a more organized manner. The customer service is beyond amazing! Always quick to respond and resolve any issues.

Great Software with great support

I like the incredible support team and the well packaged programs that help sell the products to our client (Brightlocal helps users from beginning to the end of their clients' journeys)

Aspetti negativi:

Wish it were a little easier to import client business details into the location details area (I had to build a form to collect the clients' information, then copy and paste their responses into location details -- sometimes the minutiae of the details or changes gets a little overwhelming and I make mistakes...)

We do offer the ability to import Google My Business locations which is how a lot of customers save time- rather than manually inputting details. You are also able to make changes at any time. Amazing Local Search Tools

Commenti: Overall, Bright Local is an amazing tool and I am glad I found it.

Aspetti positivi:

I was using another company for about 5 years or more and they did a decent job building citations, but they didn't have the reporting tools. BrightLocal blew me away with all of the data I could review and helps me manage my local search clients easily.

Aspetti negativi:

Some things aren't intuitive to me like adding connections. Not all of the clients show up on the list and I was confused by this. You have to go to a link about choosing another account and for some reason, I had a hard time with this.

I'm somewhat new to the world of SEO, and I own a small business with no internal tech support. I'm learning as I go, and Bright Loc al's customer support has been very responsive and helpful. Aspetti negativi:

At the time of purchase, I would have liked a better explanation of what I could expect from the services I bought. The service does feel like it is geared more to professionals in this field who are working with Bright Local on behalf of their own clients. So being a small business owner who is trying to figure out this world of citation building on their own, I would benefit from more of a layperson's approach regarding training and education on their software from this service.

Using BL for over a year

Aspetti positivi:

I have used other products in the past and BL's reporting and external dashboards are key to our customer experience. The reports are easy to read and explain to our clients and the data is accurate.

Aspetti negativi:

If you have several locations as I do (77 at this time) we do have to have 2 separate accounts since each account can technically hold 100 locations, but reporting can only manage 50 per account for our usage so having multiple accounts is not the best user experience for myself. Meaning all of the reports that are available can't be run as often if you have 100 locations in your account.

Commenti: Overall, a really positive experience - great value for money!

Aspetti positivi:

The features I like best are the Reputation Manager (helping us get more client reviews) and the Citation Tracker. We've only been with BrightLocal for about a month, so I'm looking forward to becoming more familiar with the other features.

Aspetti negativi:

I don't often have questions, but when I do, it would be helpful if the chat feature were more readily available.

Commenti: I've been using Brightlocal for over 4 years now and can't imagine doing what I do without such a tool. Yes, it's not the only option and yes it's good to compare, but in the end, you're likely to stick with what you know works. Brightlocal works for me.

I would prefer to take all my clients through a Brightlocal audit first before doing any work for them. It truly helps them see the value of the work I do and also helps them see the complexity of getting things right, in a simple way. That all said, what matters even more is the responsiveness of the team. They understand customer experience and do their best to really help get the best results for my clients.

Aspetti negativi:

It can be a bit overwhelming to a new user but, you simply have to reach out and ask for help. They'll get you sorted and running.

Great Service & products at a fair price

I have always used BrightLocal for citation creation and also citation tracking as their prices are extremely good value. However, what sets BrightLocal apart from other citation providers s their great support team. I have sometimes made mistakes in my submissions and Bright Local have always picked these up and paused the project until I could make changes. In effect insurance against costly mistakes. The new Local Grid Search is a tool I have recently been working with and again a great price for the service.

Time-Saving Tool for Local SEO

The Citation Builder is essential! BrightLocal includes dashboards for tracking rankings, citations, reviews, social engagement, analytics and Google My Business. Agency white-labeling available with control of which dashboards are visible to the client. Also has a pretty cool audit tool. Their slogan — "The all-in-one local marketing platform" — is accurate! And they are adding features often.

Aspetti negativi:

I don't like the limit on number of keywords tracked per client dashboard (100). There are a number of add-ons available, but adding more tracked keywords is not one. The only way to track more is to create a second dashboard for the same client. That is not a big deal if you're on the pro plan, but they should address this issue.

Great Software at an Affordable Price

Commenti: I track over 10,000 keywords a week and Brightlocal is the only platform that can do it as an affordable cost with accurate tracking.

BrightLocal is super easy to use and the rank tracking for local business is the best.

Nothing I don't like. They have fixed any of the issues I thought needed to be updated.
