I can't tee up the shipping details to hand over to my customer and have them pay the shipping charge. This would make ShipTime invaluable to us

great rates, and when we were living in Wakefield, QC, the service and reliability was great.

Aspetti negativi:

we miss orders, because of poor integration with our email provider (every order notification email continues to be rerouted to the Spam folder, causing us to sometimes miss orders), and since we moved to Ottawa, we have not had a SINGLE pickup. Canpar never shows. They blame ShipTIme, and ShipTIme blames Canpar. Ther'es clearly an issue with communicating b/w the two platforms/providers. I don't care who's at fault, I just care that our parcels are not being picked up. We have to waste time to drop them off to Canpar ourselves. That is NOT what I signed up for with ShipTime. IF this keeps us, we're cancelling our account.

Not as many integrations to other software we use, but they are constantly improving the product. Only a matter of time.

Very easy to use and money saving

I've been using Shiptime for around a year now and I love how it works very well. It's quick and easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Aspetti negativi:

Doesn't work with UPS, I often compare prices between the 2 sites to find the best shipping prices

Best tool to ship packages

Aspetti positivi:

It's great that ShipTime gives you a comparison for all the major carriers. You can simply choose a low cost or fast option to meet your needs.

Aspetti negativi:

You don't deal directly with the courier and have had issues with missed pickups but Shiptime is fairly good to help out.

Good rates, simple process

Commenti: ShipTime saves us money and time. It simplifies shipping processes and is key during our busy season as we get critical parts out to customers on time and at reasonable rates. I feel that it offers smaller businesses a break and helps us compete with larger companies.

Aspetti positivi:

ShipTime is easy to use and gives us great rates compared to individual carrier rates. Their website is simple to use, save addresses, track packages, track history from all couriers on one website. We don't currently integrate with our dealership software but are looking to implement that in the near future. It will make a simple process even more streamlined.

Aspetti negativi:

We have had occasional issues with LTL freight but have been able to deal with those and come to a resolution. Courier shipments are for the most part trouble free.

Commenti: Great, easy. Also like that we can ship to the USA. Like that we get pick up at our door.

I liked that when i have a problem, I can phone and get help in 5 minutes. Means a lot that i don't have to sit on the phone for an hour.

Aspetti negativi:

I didn't realize until I asked that it is better to pack in 2 small boxes rather than one large. We repacked a large box to 2 small boxes going only 100 km away and the price was reduced $100.00! Wish I had known that from the start but someone I phoned at Ship Time was very helpful and showed me that.

Commenti: The only problem I have is what I have described previously about printing the shipping label otherwise all ok!

The only thing I have problems is printing labels, which at the start was fine, then suddenly went bad as it forces me to save the file which I have to print to get a shipping label whereas before straight after payment etc I could print easily

The system doesn’t like change. Our company name changed as well as our address and the system keep reverting back to the old name and address. Also I can not ship on shiptime using a customer’s carrier account this would be a very handy feature.

Shiptime has provided excellent customer service and saved our company a lot of money on shipping.

The insurance on the shipping is not worth buying for our products as it does not cover breakage.

Thank you for your feedback. We always recommend insurance to cover for eventualities such as loss or damage. There is no additional charge for insurance up to $100 value on ShipTime shipments. Insuring your packages also allows for a simplified claims process. We recommend that you check the terms and conditions for both Ship-surance and the carrier concerned, There are some exclusions for fragile items, but many products may be shipped with adequate packaging,

Commenti: My experience with ShipTime has been great! A good service with good customer service support (versus having to deal with UPS/Purolator).

I like the fact that you can save a quote so that you don't have to re-enter the information all over again & so that you can keep the same shipping price.

Aspetti negativi:

I don't like the fact that when you click the shipping link it doesn't take you directly to the shippers tracking (where there is more info)

Commenti: shiptime is a critical part of our business. It gives me the flexibility to choose between carriers and pricing to satisfy our customers.

easy to use and track shipments. customer service is extremely helpful and usually resolve issues quickly.

the inability to speak directly with the courier. Canpar is notoriously slow and takes too much time to get answers on shipments that they mess up

Shipping for small business'

Commenti: We very much enjoy ship time. We still have a lot to learn. I am not sure if there are some how to video's so we can see what else is offered through this program but it's definitely made shipping massive amounts of product easy for us.

I don't like how if we revise an order by adding a product - the order is duplicated in ship time.

Commenti: For the most part ShipTime is a very big help for our business. The majority of our orders are shipped.

Wonderful to get comparison pricing of numerous couriers available in our area, be able to save those quotes and go back and print labels and ship upon the order confirmation

I have loved formerly Zoom Shipper, now ShipTime because of their wonderful support. I have found it less helpful in recent months. Is this because, as so often happens, it is outgrowing it’s ability to respond in a timely manner? I have had a few issues lately where the support was not great or timely.

Once you used it a few times, it is easy to use in particular for repeated shipment with the addresses saved in the database

it takes a while to get used to it and requires multiple tries if you would like to go back and alternate shipping information

Commenti: Great, makes shipping simple. I don't have to deal with several couriers that have different interfaces. One and done with the ability to compare rates.

Easy to use, easy to train new users on.

Aspetti negativi:

Lack of communication in regards to issues with shipments. If a package is damaged and the package is not deliverable, I normally have to find out from my customer wondering where their shipment is. I then have to follow up with shiptime to find out this info. I don't think the problem is with shiptime but with the individual courier company.

Program works slick and the rates are great.

Aspetti negativi:

When a courier messes up you seem to have no pull to get the problem fixes. Also you adjust your charges often. Other platforms we have used do not do this. It's an extremely frustrating point. One that make us question staying on with shiptime. If we cannot rely on the quote that is a huge issue.

Commenti: ShipTime is challenging to work with due to their couriers they have partnered with. They try their best but at the end of the day, it's the couriers that ruin the experience. ShipTime is at their mercy.

Great Shipping Rates

Commenti: Overall the service is great and their support team is amazing, no matter what the problem is they will get a hold of the courier and find out what happened and see what they can do about it.

Easy to use website that lets you enter the shipping details once and compare multiple shipping couriers rates and time lines in minutes. 90% of the time the rates are the best you can find. For us overnight shipping is important and ship time offers this to us cheaper than a 4 day delivery with another company.

Aspetti negativi:

Shipment adjustments are annoying, there is no notice about them you find out when your card is charged and by that time you have already billed the customer so we end up losing on that. Invoicing is another issue, invoices are done weekly and they compile every shipment that week into one invoice total but you are charged individually so from a record keeping side its a lot of entry's to keep track of
