Aspetti positivi:

Di Udemy mi è piaciuto molto la libreria enorme di corsi a cui partecipare e i prezzi molto accessibili quando ci sono le offerte. Ci vogliono pochi click per acquistare un corso. I corsi che ho comprato sono ottimi molto specifici, io per esempio ho imparato a programmare da zero in java.

I prezzi senza offerte a volte sono molto alti.

Ottimo per un learning continuo alla luce della Fluidità del mercato

La disponibilità di corsi in lingue diverse con sottotitoli e la presenza di professionisti con esperienza capaci di trasmettere la propria passione con facilità.

Aspetti negativi:

Manca la possibilità di usufruire di sconti per studenti accedendo con email istituzionale universitario. Nullatoglie che é comunque possibile acquistare i corsi a prezzi stracciati in determinati periodi.

Piattaforma molto evoluta e con molti corsi a disposizione

Aspetti positivi:

Ci si trova davvero qualsiasi corso (almeno in ambito IT) ma anche in ambito grafico, i corsi sono generalmente ben strutturati e la piattaforma tiene traccia del tuo andamento. Spesso i corsi sono scontati.

Aspetti negativi:

La qualità dei corsi varia in base a chi tiene il corso e per questo bisogna affidarsi alle recensioni altrui. A volte per gonfiare le ore di un corso, vengono ripetuti concetti allo sfinimento. Altre volte per gonfiare il numero delle lezioni, vengono fatte lezioni da meno di due minuti, solo con il fine di dire "hey questo corso ha 10 lezioni!" poi alla fine sono 20 minuti totali di corso... bisogna stare attenti alle descrizioni e ai dettagli prima di comprare.

Commenti: I am able to assign for a course without reserving extra time for it. I can continue whenever I want. It gives me the flexibility to do my job and learn when I have the time for. By this I can steer the overall workload so that I can better benefit from the course.

The courses are not always the most updated ones so that you can waste time by starting a course that might be too old.

By far the best thing about Udemy is the course creation is decentralised. This means the amount of content added is incredible. In addition, for new trends like AI, AI courses were created almost instantly which is hugely important for our employees to stay on the pulse. I've reviewed other learning platforms that curate their own content and they simply can't keep up with a decentralised content creation model. The dashboard is hugely valuable to track learning progress across the business to ensure our employees are up skilling.

Aspetti negativi:

Udemy is very expensive and a little inflexible when it comes to pricing. Whilst the investment is worth it, the costs of Udemy at scale can quickly become enormous. Given they don't create content, I'd expect them to be significantly more affordable than other providers but they're amongst the most expensive.

Pros: lots of courses in different areas and topics. All courses are conducted by highly professional teachers/coaches. Video and sound of a great quality. Also, certificates can be used to prove level of expertise.

Cons: A little outdated design of the interface. But other than that I'm happy with Udemy!

I am using the Udemy business for my educational purposes for the past 2 years. Even though I am from a non-computer science background, it helps a lot by teaching from the grass-root level. We can identify the time we have spent, and the remaining contents from level bars. Learning paths helps a lot to choose lectures based on our field of interest.

Some courses are outdated. If there is a proctored exam is there after the end of the course, it will make certificates more valuable. Some educators replay very late.

Loved that you can browse a large selection of courses, that you get a certification t the end of each course that you can attach to your CV or show on your Linkedin profile. It is a great competitor for Linkedin Learning and I think the content here is better.

Well, not all courses are great. For example, I selected one for affiliate marketing and I can say it was absolutely dreadful to listen to a person who did not speak good English. But, I should of used the preview course option before selecting the course.

Udemy for Business is one of the best online learning platforms that provides thousands of online courses free of cost. I recently completed a course on fire safety from Udemy, a very comprehensive and well-prepared online course. I learned about fire hazards and safety precautions. The said course will help me in my professional life. Udemy's online courses are to the point and relevant to the topic. Courses are prepared on modern concepts, videos are added for more clarity about specific topics; you are your manager to adjust your timing, as courses can be completed at any suitable time. Udemy for Business also provides certificates after a course. For me, it is best in terms of ease of timing schedule.

Although the certificate awarded by Udemy after completing an online course has not much worth in the market, the skills and knowledge we gain are essential. More videos relevant to the courses must be provided to understand the concepts clearly.
